The house had everything we needed and the location was great. Would be preferable to have a smart lock instead of a key for the ease of check-in and group use. Would also prefer to get directions to the house instead of directions to/from the rental office. That would also make group use much simpler. The addresses are funny because of the gorge location, which is understandable, but coordinates or a dropped pin will work for anyone navigating with GPS. Overall a great stay and would stay again.

Nice visit
This was our first visit to RRG and Natural Bridge and we had a great visit!
We have stayed and a handful of rental properties through the years and using Vrbo to book was difficult. We did not get clear instructions on checking in.
The inside was very clean and neat though perhaps a bit dated.
The outside needed attention. The deck, grill, and fire pit was dirty, outside chairs were dirty and broken.
I would not likely choose this cabin again.
The cabin overall was nice. The central location is great for climbers, with easy access to all crags and restaurants. Some of the furniture and bedding wasn't great, but overall we enjoyed our stay here.
Had a great time! Could use a few updates. Couch in basement falling apart, stove/oven errors constantly, needs a toaster, maybe food storage cabinet. But overall a very nice place.
The property management team is wonderfully responsive and detailed. Love the cabin overall. We had adults and kids (2-8 yrs old) and family dogs with us. Everyone had their own space. Plenty of home comfort details, like a fully stocked kitchen of tools, pots/pans, baking sheets, grill tools, dishes, regular coffee pot AND a Keurig, etc. 2 grills (one gas on porch, one charcoal by fire pit). Fire pit was awesome for bonding and s’mores, but be warned to have plenty of bug spray and 2 of the 4 plastic outdoor chairs are busted and in a fragile, but useable condition. Nothing bad to say, except that the cabin plumbing needs some attention (leaky kitchen faucet, 1st floor tub is slow draining, and basement shower is tough to control the temperature). Absolutely nothing that makes me mark this property down though. It was wonderful! We will likely be back. Thank you for an awesome space for vacation!
Eight of us women (ages 55-73) traveled from Michigan to KY to kayak in a cave. I found this home for rent that would accommodate all of us. It turned out to be about three miles from the cave. An added bonus was the hot tub to relax our tired muscles after walking seven of the many the trails of the Red River Gorge area. It was beautiful and we thouroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was neat and clean. Unfortunately the water pressure was so low we had to empty the dishwasher and rewash everything. There was no toaster, the check in office said they would bring one, but it never showed up. There was construction noise all day on both sides of the road.

Great cabin, except for roach problem
Stayed here with a few friends for a climbing trip, and the cabin provided plenty of room for all of us. It was a perfect location and we loved the cozy feel of the cabin. Unfortunately, there was a significant roach problem in the kitchen. They scurried across counters every time we turned the lights on and they were even inside the oven clock. I reported this problem (and sent pictures) to management privately after our stay, and they said they had sprayed recently and that the roaches were coming out because it had rained. I'm not talking about a couple of roaches; we killed 2-3 roaches each time we were in the kitchen. They clearly have an infestation problem that they are unwilling to address. I was also disappointed when we left behind our Google Chromecast (attached to the TV) and they said they couldn't find it. I'm planning a couple more trips to the area in the fall, but will be avoiding renting from the Natural Bridge Cabin Company after their lackluster responses. Too bad as they have adorable, centrally-located cabins that would otherwise be pretty perfect.

Hope you don't have an issue
House was cute when we pulled up. Welcome binder could be updated a little. We checked in and went out to dinner. Came home and went downstairs and noticed it was completely flooded! Like inches of water. I immediately called to report it. You could hear the toilet running (wasn't clogged). Was told "Oh that happens. I don't think we can get anyone out tonight but they will be out in the morning". My husband and friends husband were able to figure out how to get it to stop so it wouldn't continue to flood. When I say flood, I mean floorboards were floating..... Anyway, went to sleep expecting plumber to be there bright and early. Nope, I called again and was told they should be there in about a half hour. This was at 11:30. Plumbers came and said oh this happens, and gave an explanation. They also were nice enough to say they would request the cleaning people to come out. Around 4-4:30 2 women showed up. By this time the water had gone down but the floors were still squishy and the carpets saturated. They rolled up the rugs and struggled to take them outside. So night 2 there and we still can't use downstairs because of squishy floor and musty smell. Plus, we were afraid to use the bathroom for fear it would happen again. No mention from any management about any type of reimbursement for issues. We never used the downstairs which would have been nice just to spread out and have some space. Good thing we all get along. Anyway, I wrote a note and emailed Monday. Got a response that they were aware and a $100 credit would be given. Now, I don't expect the full amount to be refunded but I also don't feel that $100 covers it. We had 1 bathroom and 1 small area for 4 of us. I tried to email back but got no response. Other then that, the location was great. Definitely check out Thatcher's BBQ, Miguels, Daniel Boone's coffee shop and Sky Bridge Station.
Overall , Everything was great! outside could use attention .Also had a major roach bug problem.

Bed bugs and cockroaches find in the beds and all over the place....
The place itself was beautiful.... had a great time except for the cockroaches and bed bugs... when I called to report the issue the person who answered the phone said they knew about the roaches but disbelief in the bed bugs..... frustration over this....
The cabin is in a great location. The hot tub was a welcome amenity after the days events. Management is nice. After we put our things down we saw cobwebs, corn chips in the corner, mold on the shower curtain, and hair tumbleweeds. The worst part were the roaches. There was not enough Raid help. When the management company was called, they told us that the pest control spray was done earlier in the day and the amount of roaches should decrease the next day. The number of adult roach sitings did go down, but the babies didn’t.

Good Cabin with Some Issues
First I want to say the cabin is a nice place in a good location for hiking. We have stayed in a couple of cabins in the area and one thing that was excellent was the water. The other places we have stayed in the area have had a sulfur smell. The cabin had plenty of room for our family to spread out and the kids loved it. Before I say the bad part I just want to say we have stayed in multiple cabins through out several states and never had the problem I’m going to talk about. Now for the bad part, we noticed an issue the first night with roaches or wood roaches in the kitchen. We didn’t want to make a big deal because of the kids so my wife and I found an can of spray in the kitchen and treated the areas. The next day we went to use the stove and when my wife turned it on they were crawling inside the control panel. In the evening we found them in the upstairs bathroom around the sink and inside the towel closet. They were crawling on the toothbrushes we had placed inside the cabinet. We just moved everything out and kept treating that areas every night of our stay. The other issue we had was when we went to use gas grill on the deck. It appeared the grill had not been cleaned in awhile. We just worked around it. We were disappointed because these two issues took away from the good points of the cabin. We did posted a review on the managements website about the cabin without naming it and there response was to blame me for not calling them. They said they maybe would have moved us to another cabin if needed but there was nothing in the reply at least expressing them being sorry. They also said they battle animals and bugs everyday because of the woods. Like I said towards the begin of this review my wife and I have stayed in cabins in the woods and we live in the country. I have never seen an issue with wood roaches like this before.

German cockroaches everywhere!!
They don’t tell you this place is infested with German cockroaches! Can’t leave food on the counter for longer then 2 seconds before they are all over it. Also the view just wasn’t pretty you were staring at woods. Be prepared to drive around for an hour trying to find the cabin if you arrive after the office is closed. They give you a print out of a hand drawn map that looks like my 2 year old drew up. None of it was legible. If you can find another cabin from a different company I say do it! It was not cleaned upon entering the cabin either! Dog hair was everywhere! Oh one more thing the upstairs loft was infested with ticks! So if you’re into all of that then this cabin will definitely be for you! ☺️

Beautiful but lacking
While thre property, home, location were all amazing, the maintenance lefty something to be desired. The outdoor furniture had not been cleaned yet for spring, the interior was mir than fair to appearance. On our third and final night, one adult woke and turned on the lights in the kitchen to find cockroaches scurrying. We had to discard anything that wasn't in the refrigerator. We also had done difficulty with the hand drawn map that had been copied so many times out was difficult to read. With some added effort the property would have been perfect.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Cat’s Lair for an April weekend. The house was great at accommodating our group of 6, and while the upstairs living room is smaller, we had no problem co-living in the cabin for 4 days. The hot tub was hot and clean, and the house had extra spices, ample cookware, and a propane grill to make our stay super easy. As it’s a cabin in the woods, there are some bugs that made their way in, but the house was cleaned thoroughly and was the best cabin I’ve stayed at in the area. Finally, the mattresses are awesome - we all slept great. Thank you for a great weekend!
Grateful to find availability during spring break. The cabin had everything we needed and more. Clean, well appointed, and great location! We would rent again!
