About the host
Hosted by Jenny
Hello! We are Jenny and Alan Power, owners of Cornerstone Cottage, with Jenny running the guest experience. We bought and renovated the cottage in 2020/21 and have been welcoming guests ever since. Jenny grew up visiting her grandmother on this exact strip of shoreline in Lamoine, Maine and is beyond thrilled that her own family is getting to grow up to form some of the same memories she has had. Jenny loves to welcome guests from near and far to enjoy and experience the DownEast region of Maine with friends and family who are the 'cornerstones' of their life!
Why they chose this property
This property is ideal for its location: in the middle of everything but you have your own privacy! The best part is you have those mountain and ocean views. The yard is amazing for yard games, fire pit conversations, shore exploring, kayak launching and so much more.
What makes this property unique
This is the best of DownEast coastal Maine kinda rolled up into one property! This property has the rocky shoreline, beautiful oceanfront views, serene nature setting and close to all the scenic locations in the area. It's the perfect home-away-from-home setting. The cottage originated back to the turn of the century as a part of the Shores Acres Hotel. It was separated from the hotel in 1917 and placed on this property. Guests who stayed in this hotel included notable architects, businessmen and politicians. When you stay here you are staying in a piece of Acadia history.
