What's nearby: Of course, the Cape has some of the best beaches in the world, one of which, Glendon Road Beach, is only 1/3 of a mile away and an easy walk. A local favorite is Coast Guard Beach sitting 20 miles from home base. Passing through cranberry bogs, salt marshes, beaches, a state park, forests, and more, the Cape Cod Rail Trail is sublime; there is an entrance with a parking lot a couple of miles away from the cottage. Provincetown is loaded with funky charm and if you are feeling nostalgic, visit one of the few remaining drive-ins in Wellfleet (28 miles). Check out the national acts that visit the Cape Cod Melody Tent. If you are feeling adventurous, go whale watching out of Provincetown or take the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket. For dining, consider the fried clams and clam cakes at Captain Frosty’s in Dennis. Thuan Loi in S. Yarmouth has some of the best Vietnamese food anywhere. For ice cream, you can’t go wrong with Cape Cod Creamery in S. Yarmouth or Schoolhouse in Harwichport.

We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for a small cottage, the AC worked well, and the extra room was nice for my 2 kids. We also liked the outdoor shower.

Great place to stay close to the beach
Loved the location. Enjoyed breakfasts and lunches in the back and loved the outside shower. So nice to shower off under the stars or sunny sky. Would definitely stay here again

Quiet and Clean
We enjoyed our stay at Uncle Rolf's in Dennisport. The home was quiet and quaint and close enough to walk to the beach. The management company, Vacasa, did a great job preparing the home for us. We'll be back next year!
This is a beautiful cozy cottage, perfect for a small family.
Centrally located on the Cape close to a lot of sights and attractions. There is a beach and restaurant within walking distance. My granddaughters and I had a great stay this summer.

Quaint & Quiet
This cottage proved a good central location for exploring Cape Cod. It was clean and seemed well cared for. We stayed in September and it was very quiet the whole time. Beach is walking distance which is convenient.

Cozy at Uncle Rolf's
Super cute and very clean! This cottage is cozy and comfortable for a family with 2 young kids... basic items for a comfortable beach day - including toys - and a short walk to a small private beach make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the cape.

Great place near the beach
Great place for 4. Appreciated the fully stocked kitchen supplies, full bath towel sets, and soap and shampoo. Great little dining area. Even had a box of every type of batteries you could want! Some board games for rainy days, easy internet access, and cable TV. 3 minute walk to the beach and Sailing Cow (great breakfast].
I already did this survey! Needed more towels, toilet paper and dishes and stove burners were not the cleanest. Otherwise, good.

Thank you for your review, Malinda. To clarify, we provide our guests with a starter kit of supplies. This includes cleaning supplies, toiletries, and paper products. Once these supplies run out it is the responsibility of our guests to provide any additional supplies throughout the remainder of their stay. Supplies are restocked before each guest. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your time with us and we do hope we will have another chance to host you for a truly carefree stay in the future.

Cape House Rental
The house rental was generally fine, but there are a few things that could use improvement:
The screen on the side door needs repair—the tears are large enough that we couldn’t leave the door open without letting bugs in.
The lampshade in the twin bedroom is in poor condition and really should be replaced.
The kitchen floor was quite dirty. When we arrived, some water spilled, and when I wiped it up, the paper towel turned black, which was concerning.
Just wanted to share this feedback in hopes it helps improve the experience for future guests.

Vacasa did not clean between guests
I did not stay in this home because Vacasa did not clean between guests. The home is lovely, but Vacasa management didn't do its job for which it charges a $150 cleaning fee. It was not cleaned at all.

Jacqueline, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear this. We have followed up with our housekeeping manager and confirmed the cottage was cleaned by the check-in time. We hope to have another opportunity to host you when the time is right.
Suitable for a couple and 2 small children. The cabin is small but well equipped although some of the furnishings have seen better days. The bathroom is modern. The kitchen has no dishwasher and an old but functioning stove. The fridge/freezer is a good size. The property is surprisingly quiet having no other properties adjacent. It is a short walk from the beach. Overall, we were pleased to have selected this property for a week-long vacation.
Very cozy cottage. Excellent location. Was just a quick 5-10 minute walk to the beach. There's a deli about a 5 minute walk and Woolfies Bakery is about a 10 minute walk. The unit was very clean. Kitchen well stocked with pretty much anything you'd need for cooking. Several board games and card games for older kids. Beds were comfy. There are AC units in both bedrooms, but just a fan in the living/dining room area. It was fine most of the trip, but it got a little sticky the last couple of nights due to the humidity. The toilet does sweat quite a bit and leaves a puddle on the bathroom floor. Again, it was quite hot and humid our last couple of days, so it wasn't an issue most of the trip. The outdoor shower came in very handy after the beach trips. There are beach chairs and a boogie board available in the chest out back. There is also a grill and picnic table, which we did not use. Parking on the side of house is a little tight if you have a larger vehicle, but wouldn't be an issue for a smaller SUV or sedan. The street parking worked better for our full sized SUV. We did, unfortunately, lose the keys to the cottage at the beach our second day there. There was not a spare set and we had to have a locksmith come and cut the lock and install a new one. The property manager was very helpful with the situation and the gentleman that came out to do the lock was excellent. Overall, a great stay!
I was happy that this rental had most everything we needed- cooking equipment, cooler and thermos for the beach, very clean bath and beach towels, reusable grocery bags, beach cart, chairs and toys, etc.
We loved being able to walk about 0.5 mile to the beach and back anytime we wanted, and the road felt pretty quiet and safe to walk on with little kids.
I stayed here alone with my 2 little kids, and it was the perfect size for us. Any more people and it would have felt a bit cramped. The queen bed really looked and felt like a full but maybe I am mistaken.

Great stay
This is a cute wee cottage and perfect for our needs. There was only 2 of us, but had there been 4 I think it would have been a bit of a squeeze. The property has a lot of trees (great for bird watching) but as a result was very shady and cool. Beach is a 5-7minute walk down the road and another couple of minutes to the Sailing Cow which serves great Sunday night dinners. Wifi worked well for working remotely and kitchen is well stocked with appliances/pots/seasonings etc.
