Escape to Pine Cove Cabin #1, a charming lakefront retreat in North Lake Tahoe, perfect for a family getaway. Nestled directly on the sandy shores near Moondunes beach, this cabin offers an unbeatable backyard: a private stretch of North Tahoe beach ideal for building sandcastles, soaking in the sun, or relaxing by the water. The bright, fully equipped kitchen and dining area boast sweeping lake views, and now feature a brand-new washer, dryer, and dishwasher for added convenience during your stay. The cozy living room, complete with a gas fireplace and flat-screen TV (streaming only), is the perfect spot to unwind as the sun dips behind the mountains. Step out onto the large sunny deck directly from the dining room and discover the new BBQ and outdoor seating (available in summer months). Come enjoy summer gatherings, winter lounging, or breathtaking Tahoe sunsets.
Pine Cove Cabin includes two inviting bedrooms: one with a plush king-sized bed and the other with both a queen and a twin bed, offering plenty of space for family or friends. Both bathrooms have been thoughtfully upgraded with beautiful, walk-in stone showers, blending modern comfort with rustic charm. An additional sauna is perfect for warming up after a day on the lake or slopes, inviting you to indulge in a little extra relaxation during your stay.
In the summer, enjoy direct access to beautiful Lake Tahoe with a shared homeowner's pier and possible access to a boat buoy (available on a first-come, first-serve basis) for water activities. The large sunny deck is perfect for BBQs and relaxing while taking in stunning lake views. Kings Beach is just minutes away, offering a variety of summer activities including hiking, golf and tennis.
In the winter, Pine Cove is ideally located for snow sports enthusiasts. Northstar Ski Resort is just a 15-minute drive away, and Palisades Tahoe/Alpine Meadows is 25 minutes from your door. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding, or cozying up by the fire in the cabin after a fun-filled day on the slopes. After a fun day out in the snow, come in and warm up in the sauna.
Located next to Kings Beach, Pine Cove #1 places you within reach of all Tahoe's renowned outdoor adventures. North Lake Tahoe is also home to an array of restaurants, unique shops, and even a few casinos to add to the fun.

Tahoe Time Vacation Rentals is a locally owned and operated, boutique-style company—not a large nationwide chain. As a small, family-run business, we take pride in offering a personalized, hands-on approach to hospitality. Our homes are carefully selected and located in the quieter, more scenic areas of Lake Tahoe, including the California North Shore, Olympic Valley, Alpine Meadows, the West Shore down to Rubicon Bay, and the Palisades at Tahoe ski area.
What makes our company stand out is our dedication to being here for you. As long-time locals (thirty plus years), we are always available to assist with your stay, ensuring a seamless and memorable Tahoe experience from booking to check-out. Whether you're here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, we're committed to making your time in Tahoe truly special.
REQUIRED COUNTY STR PERMIT INFORMATION: STR 22-6657 | TOT #16196 | Max Occupancy is 5 | 1 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. Guest must agree to read and comply with Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies.
County Rules
As part of the Short-Term Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.
Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time.
Lights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night.
Red Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone's safety. It is each guest's responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you'll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.
Winter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it's essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel.
Please be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.
Garbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.
Office Holiday Hours
The TTVR office is closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.
