This cabin is in a great location for hiking. Host communicates quickly and gives great tips before arrival. It was the perfect choice for our family of four with two young adult children, where we just wanted somewhere to cook dinner and sleep before heading out to hike again. The road that T’s into the cabin provides a stellar sunset view not even a mile away.
The cabin was verynice and clean! Host was wonderful and very helpful. She also has a guide of things to do. Lots of hiking trails, kayaking, and other fun stuff. Highly recommend this cabin. It was the perfect getaway!
Comfortable home with amazing veiws. Everything you need in a rental home and more. Easy eccess to side by side trails. Plenty if parking with space enough to unload our side by sides. Wonderful local businesses.
Overall great cabin! Only two things that made me rate a 4. The couch and beds were not comfortable and the beds were small. Also, the hot tub water looked slimy so we didn’t use it. Other than that, everything else was great and we enjoyed our stay!
This house was so clean! We had everything we needed. We messaged the owner about finding the private swimming spot and got a quick response. It was such a beautiful place to swim and enjoy the day. The location is out in the middle of nowhere, which made for the most chill vacation ever! It was phenomenal. The kids loved the play room downstairs, especially the vintage games! We would stay here again, it was a great house.
This was an awesome place to stay. We have a 13 & 17 year old and they loved the location. We loved the hiking, all the back roads, and swimming holes. I would have to say the favorite was the swim hole right down the road from the cabin. If you have a side by side I would recommend bringing it. We went to Alum Cove, Glory Hole, Buffalo River (Steel Creek Campground), Ozark Cafe (Jasper), & Cliff House Inn (Jasper) and would recommend all. There’s a lot more to see and we will be back.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Deer Trails cabin. The location was wonderful. Close enough to where we wanted to hike, yet secluded where we didn’t see anyone else during our stay. The cabin was quite cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the downstairs game room and the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Check in process was very easy.
Our only complaints is the stocking of kitchen supplies, coffee maker and the barn doors on the bedrooms. There was no multi-surface cleaner, coffee, and minimal kitchen towels/washcloths in kitchen for cleaning during cooking. The coffee maker worked fine, but was not ideal for our group of 4. Would suggest a regular 12-cup maker. The barn doors are beautiful but don’t stay closed. Even if they are closed, there’s a huge gap on the sides of the doors.
Overall, this cabin was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend to friends and would stay here again in future.
The cabin host was great - very quick to respond and was very informative and helpful concerning what was around the area. The cabin itself was nice and appeared to be newly remodeled. The hot tub was an added bonus, as was the washer/dryer. We traveled from Texas with our side by side thinking there trails around the cabin to explore, but realized the only place around the cabin for the side by side was dirt/rock county roads. There is a beautiful little private swim hole located within 10 min (with a side by side).
My only complaint is the location. My family and I did several hikes, which were all at least 45min-1 hr away. We also did a day trip to Eureka Springs one day and Branson, MO another. Both places were 1 1/2 - 2 hrs away. I didn’t realize when I booked the cabin that everything was so far. The cabin truly is remote and out in the middle of nowhere. If you’re looking for a nice, quiet, relaxing stay where you’re not planning to get out and travel much, this place is excellent. However, for me and my family, who like to get out and explore a large area, I wish I had researched more and chosen a more central location.
The cabin is adorable, the property is great, the owners are helpful and fun to communicate with. We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring neighboring towns.
Did not plan many excursions, just use this property to get away and relax. It did just that for us! Had a great time, enjoyed the views, and slept so soundly. Can't wait to do it again one day.
The cabin was just what we were looking for. WiFi and hot tub for the teens and outdoor sitting for adults. We weren’t prepared for the noise of the cicadas. We had an enjoyable time.
So relaxing and quiet, very peaceful, an awesome few days get away
We enjoyed staying there very much, the house and surroundings was very accommodating. Jennifer was very helpful in any questions I had. And we tried to leave the cabin better than when we found it… And it was perfect when we got there… Thanks so much for the opportunity hope we can do it again
