Welcome to "The Stellar Jay Chalet" A Lakeside Retreat that truly has it all! This home has room for everyone with sleeping up to 12 and 3 levels of fun. There is something for everyone here; with a game room for kids of all ages and a kitchen for your most advanced chef. This amazing home will transform any vacation into one you won't forget. Close to the Shopping and Restaurants.

Enter through the 3 car garage, a flight of stairs takes you to Lower Level featuring the ultimate game room. Pool Table, Foosball and Full Size Air Hockey plus board games. This level has 2 bedrooms one a daybed and the other a queen. There is a sofa bed as well for extra sleeping plus deck. Smart TV included. Full bath and laundry complete this level.

The Middle Level is the Large Kitchen, Dining and Living Room. Front Deck has a lake view and outdoor dining with direct gas line to the Grill. Living Room has TV with cable and half bath. Master Ensuite is on the this Level with King Bed and Sleeper sofa. And the biggest Closet you will ever see!

The Upper Level has two "Family" Bedrooms with their own full baths. Ideal for those with young children who want to bed together. One has a crib as well.

Cabinets in the Laundry Room are locked off to guests, Attic, Build-up, and dumbwaiter.

**Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and short-term renters are not permitted access to the Lake, Lake trails, Peninsula Park, and Grass Valley Park as of September 28th, 2020. Available lakes for swimming, fishing, and walking trails are Lake Gregory in Crestline, Lake Silverwood, and Big Bear Lake in Big Bear. Lake availability will vary by season.

The Dogwood Cabins is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 7 pm. You may call or text. If there is an emergency please call the number provided and we will respond immediately.

This quiet mountain cabin is located in a residential neighborhood with views of the National Forest, which provides the perfect serene setting for a mountain getaway.
While in the home, we do ask that you abide by the set quiet hours as a courtesy to our local full-time residents.

Blue Jay Village that offers shops and restaurants is 2.3 miles away. Lake Arrowhead Village is 3.6 miles away. SkyPark at Santa’s Village is 6.3 miles away and Snow Valley Ski Resort is 18 miles away. We do have a couple Uber type companies; Lindas Livery and RIDE.

This home does not have Air Conditioning but does have ceiling fans in the Living Room, Dining Area, Master Bedroom, and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Each bedroom does have a portable Air Conditioning unit. We also provide 4 wind tunnel fans. We do experience warmer weather for about a month anywhere from July to early September.

We highly recommend carrying chains/cables with tensioners during the winter. CalTrans will have chain checkpoints and require you to show them or in some cases put them on. to be allowed up the mountain.

**This is NOT a party home! If you plan on breaking any of the house rules, including but not limited to:
There is no smoking inside or outside the property, this includes but not limited to Cigarettes, Marijuana, and Cigars. If we smell smoke in the home there will be an additional $250 cleaning fee. If we find burn marks in any furniture, the guest is responsible for replacement costs.

We do not enjoy removing pets or additional guests from the home as well as charging additional fees. We kindly ask that guests follow all house rules to avoid any issues.

Smoking inside or outside the home, any type of drug usage legal or not, underage drinking, violating quiet hours, exceeding occupancy limits or vehicle limits please do to rent this home. We do not enjoy removing people from our home, but the safety of our guests, home, and neighbors comes first.

This home does not allow pets. Service dog fraud is a crime. CA Penal Code 365.7 Punishment may be up to a maximum penalty of $1,000 per instance and up to 6 months in jail. Please note that service animals are defined by the ADA as: Dogs that are individually trained to do worker perform tasks for people with disabilities. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do NOT qualify as service animals. under the ADA. Any attempt to present a comfort or emotional support service animal or pet as a service dog is fraud.

Homeowner’s insurance is inordinately high for vacation rentals, and limited, particularly in this region, a fire zone. The policy on this home is expensive and does not allow dogs, regardless of breed. Regardless, the law requires any request for a reasonable accommodation to be made in advance, so if you feel your circumstances reflect an exception, you must contact us to discuss before renting so we can assess on a case-by-case basis. Your animal must leave if you do not proceed accordingly and demonstrate the need for a reasonable accommodation. Our agency has homes that permit dogs and we can give you resources and leads for other rentals able to accommodate you.
HOUSE RULES:
1. AUTHORIZED USE AND GUESTS: The Premises are for the sole use as a personal short-term residence by not exceeding the county-specified occupancy limit for your specific rental.

2. PARKING: No street parking is allowed at any time and the number of vehicles allowed is set by the county and may not exceed that amount AND CAN IMPOSE A FINE THAT IS RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUEST. Min $1000

PLEASE READ: THE COUNTY IS VERY STRICT ABOUT THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS IN THE HOME AND THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES ON THE PROPERTY. IF WE FIND MORE OCCUPANTS OR VEHICLES THAN ALLOWED BY THE COUNTY THERE WILL BE A FINE AND WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

3. PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED UNLESS APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT WITH AN ADDITIONAL PET FEE IF THE HOME ALLOWS PETS. IF AN UNAUTHORIZED PET IS FOUND IN THE HOME IT WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. Pet owners be aware of wild animals and do not let your animals roam free or unattended outside. There is a leash law of 6ft maximum required by the county. Coyotes, Bears, Mountain Lions, and bobcats are known predators in the area. IF WE FIND AN UNAUTHORIZED PET IN THE HOME THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF $250.

4. PAYMENTS: All Rent, Cleaning Fees, Taxes, and deposits are to be paid before arrival. If booking through a third-party website their rules apply.

5. SECURITY DEPOSIT: All security deposit holds of $500 will be collected two days before check-out and the hold will be removed seven days after check-out and are 100% refundable with no incidents. Please note this DOES NOT apply to all booking platforms. Please ask if you have any questions.

6. REFUNDS: Refunds will not be given due to snow or inclement weather, we will allow the occupant/guest to reschedule with no additional fees with the same rent or less. If the rent is higher than the original amount occupant/guest must pay the difference. Natural Disasters or the inability to travel due to natural disasters or other extreme government-enforced situations, occupant/guest to reschedule within 30 days from the original reservation.

7. HOLDING OVER: Occupant and guests agree there shall be no holding over or late departure without prior approval from management. Any unauthorized holding over by occupant/guest shall be subject to 1 and 1⁄2 times the daily prorated rent, plus any additional damages incurred including, but not limited to, the cost of alternative housing for guests displaced by occupant’s holding over.

8. CLEANING: Premises will be delivered to the occupant in a professionally cleaned condition. Upon check-out, the occupants will follow all check-out instructions found in the House Manual. If Occupant does not follow check-out instructions, they may be subject to additional cleaning fees.

9. NO SMOKING/DRUG USE ALLOWED: No smoking is allowed on the Premises; this includes but is not limited to; marijuana, cigarettes, cigars, or any other drug legal or not. If smoking does occur on the Premises, the occupant is responsible for all damage caused by smoking including, but not limited to, stains, burns, odors, or removal of debris. Occupants/guests may be required to immediately leave the premises. IF WE SMELL SMOKE IN THE HOME FROM ANY OF THE ABOVE-LISTED ITEMS THERE WILL BE A $1000 FEE.

10. CONDITION OF PREMISES: The occupant has not viewed the Premises before entering into this Agreement. Occupant shall, upon arrival, examine the premises, all furniture, furnishings, appliances, fixtures, and landscaping, if any, and shall immediately report, in writing, if any are not in operating condition or are in disrepair. Reporting repairs does not give the occupant the right to cancel this agreement or receive a refund of any payments made. The Dogwood cabins cannot guarantee the working conditions of but are not limited to, spas, cable/satellite, or WIFI/Internet, as inclement weather may disrupt these services.

11. ALTERATIONS TO PROPERTY: Occupant shall not make any alterations, in or about the premises including, but not limited to, moving furniture, painting, wallpapering, adding or changing locks, installing an antenna or satellite dish(es), placing signs, displays or exhibits, or using screws, fastening devices, large nails or adhesive materials.

12. NO ASSIGNMENT OR SUBLETTING: The occupant shall not assign any interest in this agreement or sublet any part of the premises.
