About this property

Beautiful Beach House, private bch, Modern and Comfortable furnishings

A beautiful, custom beach house built in January 2021 and located in The Pointe West development. Furnished with brand new, top of the line appliances and contemporary furniture. Furnishings, linens and decor are all brand new so there's no need to worry about dirt, grime or germs. The kids have their own GAME ROOM with their own 65” Samsung smart TV so that you and the adults can relax and enjoy the comfortable living room without any distractions.

Our beach house has a spacious, wrap around deck with views of the beach and the bay. The beach at Pointe west is wide and spacious and vehicles are not allowed. It’s also very private and not overly crowded even in the summertime. It's a short 3 min walk to the beach or pack up your gear and go fishing on the bay or at one of the community fishing piers and ponds.

Since the beach is the main attraction, we have provided some beach gear for your convenience - 8 beach towels, 4+ beach chairs, 2+ beach umbrellas, a small cooler and a wagon. There’s also sand toys and floaties for the kids. (All we ask is that you rinse and place the gear back in their spots. We will charge you for any missing or damaged gear - $25 for each towel, $50 each for chairs, umbrellas, cooler and $125 for the wagon.)

The Beach Club offers an infinity pool, hot tub, kids pool, game room, fitness center, pickle ball and basketball courts, gift shop and restaurant (Restaurant and gift shop are closed during winter months.) There’s also a Lazy River Pool (which is heated during cold months) and a hot tub on the Bayside of the property.
There’s a one time fee of $25 per person paid directly to the Beach Club office for access to all these amenities during your entire stay. (4 and under are free.) You can rent a cabana at the Beach Club and also rent bikes to take a ride around the neighborhood.

Rent a golf cart from one of the local companies and take a short ride to the San Luis Pass to fish or enjoy the beach out there. There are endless activities to enjoy on this property.

Our home is set up for family vacations and friendly get-togethers. No large parties, prom, graduations or weddings at this property. Small, house-trained pets are allowed (35 lbs or smaller, 2 max). Please let us know breed and size of pets when you book. We reserve the right to reject your booking based on breed and size of pet.

*There are 3 outdoor cameras installed on the property which are used for security and check-in purposes only. One camera is pointed at the driveway, one camera is pointed at the outdoor, ground-level stair entrance and one camera is pointed at the deck/patio/front entrance.

Neighborhood curfew for loud music is 10pm.
If any guests commit any illegal activity or any inappropriate anti-social behavior, Authorities and VRBO will be contacted for your removal.
No refund will be given, if guests break any laws/rules and is removed from the property.

We rented this house for a girls weekend and had a wonderful stay. Plenty of comfortable seating and a well stocked kitchen made it easy to gather, cook and enjoy each other’s company. All of the beds were very comfortable, including the bunks! It was a quick walk to the beach and there are plenty of sidewalks to get those steps in. Such a pretty neighborhood!

The house was perfect for multigeneration family reunions. The house was beautiful and well appointed. The house was very close to the beach and a perfect spot for bird watching. We rented a golfcart which made the beach club easily accessible. There are plenty of toys for playing in the sand, you don't need to bring your own. We loved this place, and the community! The house was nice and had plenty of space. We did cook a few meals and we were able to find everything we needed in the kitchen to do so. We were a little disappointed that the restaurant on site was closed for renovation, but the host was super apologetic and i lnlw that it could not be helped. We had a beautiful beach day and appreciated the provided beach towels and toys. Bring bug spray for the evenings! We got eaten up at the sunset pool after dark. We would definitely come back to this little paradise!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beach house! The home had everything we needed (and more), and we enjoyed spending time both inside and outside. The beds were super comfortable, and the showers were perfectly steamy after a long day at the beach. We only wished there were a couple extra blankets for the downstairs couch, but we made it work.The beach club was a huge highlight for the kids—it was perfect! Just a note for families: the pool is quite deep, so even our strong swimmers were getting tired treading water near the edges. Definitely bring a pool noodle or float to make it more fun and relaxing.Overall, this was a great little getaway spot, and we’d happily stay here again!

This home is well cared for and comfortable. Our family enjoyed our time together here in the ample open space. The game room offered our teens entertainment, the balcony welcomed us to relax, and the host graciously provided plenty of beach gear. I advise verifying the beach club’s available amenities prior to paying for use. We were disappointed to find out after paying for passes that that the gym, game room, bar, and all locker rooms were shut down for construction.

My wife and I grew up in the Houston area so trips to Galveston with our parents was a regular event. So now, with our own family of 7 (kids aged 15, 13, 12, 11 and 4) we are definitely a beach family. We LOVE the beach, especially our little one who would spend every day of her life on the beach if she could. We now live in Sugar Land, so it's a pretty close drive for us and we try to spend as much time at the beach house as work and life will allow.

Why they chose this property

Maui has always been our family's favorite beach destination but we can only realistically get there maybe once every 6-8 years. Although Galveston may not have the same prestige as Maui, we love it just as much - it's close, the water and people are warm and inviting, and there's lots to do throughout the island. That's why we named our house "Almost Maui".
When we decided to buy a beach house, we knew the west end of Galveston would be perfect for our family. We wanted a place where our kids can play and where we can go to relax and unwind. We found this house when it was about 85% complete and it was a perfect fit for us with the beautiful patio/deck, designer colors and custom finishes.

What makes this property unique

When we first stepped onto the patio, we knew that this was the perfect house for us. With views of the beach and the bay and a constant breeze. we immediately fell in love.
At first we thought that Pointe West might be a bit too far from town, but we soon realized that being out further made our house feel even more like a vacation home. The neighborhood is very peaceful and serene and there's just so much room on the beach. Then we discovered all of the amenities that the community has to offer, which is truly unique in Galveston. Besides the patio, we love that our kids have a separate living area/game room upstairs where they can hang out while the adults relax in the down stairs living room. We hope that you will love our house as much as we do and we wish your family a restful and enjoyable vacation stay.
