Plenty of space for each to have privacy. Very clean, had all conviences that we needed. Kitchen stocked with everything we needed. It was very nice. one of the best that we have stayed at so far. Only disappointment was, pictures show walking to the water to go trout fishing so we bought 5 pair of waders to fish in the river and that couldn't happen because of no access to water from back yard as pictures showed. So we rented a boat to go on the river and did catch some fish. Our stay was enjoyable because ot the space and all of the ammenities.

Glad to hear you had a good stay. As far as the access to water from the back yard, the river height is dependent upon the water flows from both Bull Shoals Dam and Lake Norfork Dam. Since this has been an extremely high water year on both those lakes, the river has been higher than normal, but we do believe that our pictures depict both when the river is up and when the river is wadable. We have had a lot of our renters ask us about the river's height before they come and we have always been open and honest with the above explanation. There is also a web site and phone number that a person can check on to see a day or two ahead of time as to expected river flows, but even the Army Corps of Engineers will tell you, via disclaimer, that this is subject to change. If you come again, please let us know and we can inform you as to what the Army Corps of Engineers is predicting on water flow.
We have rented several VRBO homes across the country. This property stands above the rest. The location was secluded, the house was beautiful and the view was outstanding. We played shuffleboard, fished and enjoyed seeing a bald eagle and a train pass across the river at the bottom of the giant rock bluff. The owners were excellent to work with and we had no issues with the property. They even have a little bait and tackle area in the house along with poles for fishing. The place is a little off the beaten path but well worth the drive! We had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great house for some downtime.

Thank you so much for the kind words -- and Beth said you left flowers! What a nice thing to do! Please feel free to reach out any time you are in the area! We'd LOVE to have you back!
We had a small family reunion - 8 folks. We were comfortable and had a great time. The property was perfectly clean, quiet and private. My wife and I stayed in the garage/cabin and loved it!

About the host
Hosted by Cathy and George Hypke
Welcome! We are George and Cathy Hypke and purchased this home after owning a smaller for 2 years just down the road! We realized we needed a bigger home to accommodate all the friends and family that have enjoyed visiting! We now have the house and the adjacent cabin, which we renovated into a 1 bedroom suite that can be either rented alone, or along with the main house.
Why they chose this property
This home can be rented either along with the cabin as we have listed here, or stand alone without the cabin, or just the cabin on its own.
You'll love the views of the river and the boats/fishermen floating by, enjoy the Bald Eagles as they perch on the trees on the property, or just relax for an enjoyable stay! Enough to do in the area including night life, fishing, hiking, mountain bike trails, flea markets, shopping or just relax and take in the sunrise and sunsets from the porch.
What makes this property unique
The trout fishing here is second to none. It's known as the trout capital of the world -- just ask the fishermen! The view of the bluff and the river is calming; also watch the bald eagles as they fish and nest on the trees in the backyard.
