We had a group of 10 staying here for the weekend. Everyone loved the location so much that instead of sticking to our dinner plans for Saturday night the decision was made to grab pizza and eat on the deck. Great location, cabin and host!
This is simply a perfect fishing cabin. Easy access to the River. The house is dedicated to the fisherman with plenty of fishing memorabilia. It is large and allows everyone space to unwind, but then meet again on the patio for memorable views of the water.

Thank you so much for your review. I greatly appreciate it and I look forward to seeing you again at rim Shoals.
What a beautiful cabin! Very spacious. The river view and the wildlife we saw was outstanding. Karin was our host and made sure everything was okay. Definitely going back in Spring/Summer. Side note, Karin has decorated the entire house with vintage trout fishing gear and she has quite the collection!

It was a fantastic stay! The house is well equipped with everything you need. We absolutely loved sitting out on the deck and watching the eagles. The access to the river is nice and provided a great fishing opportunity.

This property was perfect for our group. We had six 13-15 year old boys along with three adults from a mission based organization called Faith Excursions For Everyone where we spread the Gospel of Jesus through outdoor excursions. The basement was PERFECT for the 6 kids to sleep in and each staff had their own room. The campfire area was just what we needed for our evening devotional time and the large yard was great for yard games. Being right on the river made our daily float trips easily and convenient and the kids enjoyed fishing from the docks when they weren’t on the drift boat. Can’t wait to stay again.

Roger, We greatly appreciate you for taking the time to give us a review! It was nice meeting your boys, they were polite! We look forward to hosting you next year. Again, Thank for staying with Rim Shoals Troutopia. Karin
We were on a family trip with our 4 kids ages 6-14 and grandparents. The house is well stocked, linens were wonderful, kitchen is WELL STOCKED, and the basement bunk area was fantastic for the kids. My husband and I loved the master suite which takes up the whole second floor. The private dock was super handy to get in and out of our kayaks and floats. Amenities such as sunscreen and well labeled drawers were super handy. Karen was super communicative. It’s a steep walk to the dock and there are stairs down the hill, but if you have knee or back issues, it might be a challenge.

This location was perfect for our party of 11. Room in the basement for the kids to play. The dock was great for fishing with the kids and perfect for taking out our kayaks for floats on the White River. We lit up the fire pit and watched the fog roll onto the river, which is heavy in the summer months when its hot. We ran up to Wild Cat public access and kayak floated back to the house one afternoon. Another day we floated down river and took out at Buffalo City public access. This location is perfect if you are looking to spend a lot of time on the water, and not a lot of time driving. Karin is a great host! Thank you!!

There was one small issue with a residual odor from an animal infestation that had already been handled. I was made aware of this in advance and given a chance to cancel or change dates, but that was not an option for me. So I went in with eyes open. The odor improved during the stay and I imagine will completely resolve after a few more days. The beds were quite comfortable. The AC units worked well to keep us comfortable and a dehumidifier was a nice touch that probably helped with the odor issue. The Wifi was screaming fast and was more than enough for phones (no cell signal for me inside the hosue) and streaming television. There are two large televisions with comfortable seating around each. I had hoped that there would be wade fishing available off the back of the property, but the bank is too steep and inaccessible. However, just 1/4 mile down the road is an area where one can try, albeit right by a ramp. The dock on the property will allow for spin fishing, but is not an option for swinging. Overall a very nice place and I'd certainly stay again sometime.

We are from Arkansas, my daughter and I love everything outdoors and especially trout fishing for me is so much more than fishing. It is connecting with nature and seeing the abundance of Bald Eagles each day along with the sounds of the rippling shoals, and landing the beautiful Rainbow Trout is the ending to a perfect dayl
Why they chose this property
Jenkins Creek lane is located on a dead end street with no thru traffic, our cabin is river front access on a 3mile stretch of trophy trout area. A short walk to access the walk in fly fishing area. We are 5 minutes to Walmart and TJ Maxx, this is our utopia or as my husband says “Troutopia”
What makes this property unique
Our Rim Shoals cabin is located in the heart of the 3miles of Trophy Trout Fishing and Cotter is considered the Trout Capital. Come see for yourself you will be hooked!!
