Open the door to our beautiful second home in Kauai and know you are in paradise. There is nothing between you and the vast blue ocean, just 35 feet away, which is framed by a wall to wall expanse of floor to ceiling windows. The soothing sounds of the ocean fill the condo and the whispering trade winds carry the island fragrances inside. Air-conditioned for those few days when the trade winds are stilled. This is absolutely one of the most desirable locations and condos on Kauai. Relax on the spacious lanai offering unbeatable views of rainbows, whales, sea turtles, and the best surfing action in all of Poipu.
The condo projects out from the surrounding units and offers an expansive ocean view with its wrap-around windows. Visitors come from all over the island to photograph the gorgeous sunsets at the adjacent Beach House Restaurant and the same view is available from our condo. Our second floor location provides both privacy and security. The furniture is Hawaiian style rattan and the artwork is island themed. Tile and bamboo floors complete the tropical look. The spacious lanai accommodates four very comfortably. The condo is equipped with everything we could think of to make your vacation perfect including two large flat panel TVs with DVD players, a telescope and binoculars for whale watching, and all the comforts of home. Beach equipment for your day trips include four quality beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, boogey boards, sand toys, and beach coolers.
Each of the two bedrooms has a king size bed, a ceiling fan, a large closet, and plenty of storage. The windows in the bedrooms have plantation shutters and face the mountains, allowing you to sleep easy as the trade winds sweep through the unit. Two twin size floor mattresses and a portable crib/playpen are available for children and babies. Both bathrooms feature large marble showers, spacious vanities and sinks, and bamboo theme faucets and hardware. The kitchen was fully remodeled in 2012 and has solid cherry plantation style cabinets and granite counter tops. It is fully equipped with all new top of the line KitchenAid appliances. A Cuisinart blender, coffeemaker, toaster, top quality pots and pans, and numerous gadgets make your culinary adventures enjoyable. The Kuhio Shores BBQ area has two high quality propane barbecues with barbeque utensils conveniently located for your use. Then bring your food inside and dine at the glass and rattan table surrounded by the ocean. Seating is available for two more at the bar.
If you like to snorkel or surf, you'll love this spot even more. Directly to the right is sandy Lawai Beach that Sunset Magazine once named the best snorkeling spot on the south shore of Kauai. When the south swell hits, surf spots Smokey's, PK's, Centers and Acid Drop are perfect and located literally downstairs. Enjoy an easy walk to the upscale shops and restaurants at the Kukuiula Shopping Center or get your morning exercise by walking to Spouting Horn (one of the most photographed sites on Kauai) or to the famous Allerton Botanical Garden. Less than a 5 minute car ride takes you to historic Koloa Town, the grounds of the Grand Hyatt Resort, and the stunning Poipu Beach (ranked by the Travel Channel as one of the best beaches in the world).
