Amazing property. The Owner's were excellent hosts me and my family had the best experience with this location. Everything was in walking distance. It was a pleasure meeting the owners and there guests. Will definitely be back.

First of all, the view was simply amazing! We sat out on the balcony as much as we could, and we loved hearing the waves crash all day and all night. I will say that there were some barking dogs that kept us up a little at night, but that's not the fault of the property. This place is right mixed in with many local homes and businesses. It was pretty cool to feel like we were right in the heart of the city. The walk to North Beach was a little longer (and a lot hotter) than we were expecting, but it was worth it! The walk from the ferry was super easy, so that was nice. We enjoyed the pool, but there were no occupants on the bottom floor when we were there. I know it's a "shared space", but I am not sure I would feel super comfortable in the pool if there were people staying there. The beds were comfortable, AC cooled the rooms nicely, everything was clean and safe. It was a little difficult to cook on the small gas stovetop, but there are so many great places to eat out close by that we just decided to give up on cooking at home! I do wish that we would have had a few extra towels. There were five of us and only four towels for four nights, but we made it work. They also had some other towels for the pool, so we used those off and on. Overall, amazing stay!

We fell in love with Isla Mujeres many years ago and designed Castillito del Caribe as a place where families and friends could truly come together — without sacrificing comfort, space, or location.

As experienced travelers and hosts, we know the difference thoughtful details make. We’ve intentionally equipped the villa for group stays, meaningful gatherings, and effortless island living. Our goal is simple: for you to feel relaxed, well-taken-care-of, and free to enjoy every moment of your time on Isla Mujeres.

We’re always happy to share local recommendations and are known for being responsive and supportive before and during your stay.

Why they chose this property

Isla Mujeres is truly an international destination — just listen and you’ll hear a beautiful mix of languages from around the world. The island has a vibrant, resilient local economy and a laid-back energy that keeps guests returning year after year.

In real estate, it’s all about location, and this one is exceptionally rare. There are only a handful of large oceanfront villas with private pools located directly in the heart of downtown — and Castillito del Caribe is one of them.

You can walk to everything: Playa Norte, restaurants, beach clubs, shops, and the ferry — yet the home itself feels like a secluded retreat. Located just two short blocks south of the busiest part of El Centro, it offers the perfect balance of privacy and convenience.

We’re confident you’ll love it here — our guests tell us that all the time. Many discover more about us by simply searching the name and seeing what others have shared about their stay.

What makes this property unique

Every guest receives a complimentary copy of The Ultimate Insider’s Guide to Isla Mujeres, created specifically for our guests.

Inside you’ll find carefully curated recommendations for:

• Airport transfers and golf cart rentals

• ATMs and money exchange tips

• Fine dining and local favorites

• Cantinas, nightlife, and live music

• Activities, excursions, and hidden gems

In addition, we are well-connected locally and it is our pleasure to offer concierge-style assistance to help arrange anything you need — from transportation to special experiences — so your stay is seamless, relaxed, and unforgettable.
