About this property
Midcentury modern marvel in a gorgeous private setting
This midcentury modern house is an art-lover's dream! Beautiful two-story house, secluded, built by famous modernist painter within walking distance to the beach. Enjoy the gorgeous and peaceful New England countryside in a sophisticated, comfortable space. Outdoor spaces abound with a huge open yard, gazebo, patios, a roof terrace, fire pit, hammock, and small pond. Inside, enjoy midcentury design, beautiful art, towering ceilings, fireplace, sauna, lots of natural light, and full amenities.
Walter Feldman (1925-2017), renowned visual artist and professor of art at Brown University for over 50 years, shared this space with his wife as a summer home. His presence is still profoundly felt throughout the house with many pieces of his art adorning the rooms.
Inside the house, the amenities include a fully-equipped kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, and cooking basics, as well as coffee grinder, drip coffee maker, and Keurig. Entertainment options include a Roku-connected TV and multiple board games. You can exercise on the deck with the provided yoga mats and blocks or relax in the cedar sauna.
Outside you can make use of the large yard, games including bocce and badminton, or simply enjoy the warm weather on the patio. You can cook on either the charcoal or the propane grills. A beautiful beach is a short walk away.

About the host
Hosted by David
This property used to belong to our great-aunt and great-uncle, Barbara and Walter Feldman. Walter was a renowned artist whose work you will find throughout the property. Now we four siblings (Sonja, Aaron, David, and Lily) own the property and, while we enjoy using the property ourselves, we also want to share this special place with others. The house has been a treasured spot in our family for many years for vacations, weddings, and summer lounging. We hope you find it as special a place as we do.
