About this property
Beautiful Ocean View of Secluded Cove and Rhode Island Sound
Four Winds' is a beautiful cedar-shingled house on a private road on high ground that gradually slopes down a grassy field to a secluded cove and Rhode Island Sound. The front of the house faces the ocean with a fenced in yard in rear. All rooms have a view of the water. The living room has a large picture window facing the water and a wood burning fireplace. The large eat-in kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and also has a big picture window facing the water. The grass patio is enclosed by a stone wall and provides a beautiful view of the water as well as cool summer breezes and is an excellent place for evening drinks. A master bedroom with private bath is on the first floor with another large bedroom and two smaller ones located upstairs.
Walk a hundred feet down to the secluded cove and sun yourself on the beach, swim, snorkle, fish or bring your sunfish or kayak and explore the coastline. Bring your surf board and walk a hundred yards down the road to Town Landing where the surfers ride the swells, or just walk along the rocky coastline to see what the tide brought in that day.
The Town of Little Compton public beach a.k.a. South Shore is less than 2 miles down the road and has a sandy beach and bottom, life guards, parking, restrooms, and a vending cart. If the crowds get to be too much for you just walk down the beach to 'Goosewing' and enjoy the privacy.
Take a tour of Sakonnet Vineyards and pick up a bottle of wine for dinner. A cookout on the beach is always a fun time especially after you've caught your own dinner off of Fishing Rock. Follow that with a driftwood fire and s'mores and the last of the wine.
Summer is not the only time to enjoy the beauty of the water from this house. Fall and Winter also provide their own unique wonder. We offer long time rental rates for winter. Please inquiry directly with the owner for long term rental rates, as VRBO does not calculate them correctly.
UNDER LOCAL LAW anyone over 12 is considered an adult. We are allowed 8 adults plus two children under 12 years of age.

What makes this property unique
This is a family owned property that has been passed down from our Aunt. We love the view and the closeness to the Cove and the beach. It is easy to bike everywhere. Our part of Little Compton is not very traffic heavy, making it enjoyable to walk different places. We love relaxing on the back patio listening to the waves from the Cove while we read or socialize with each other. The soothing sound of the real waves is great for falling asleep.
