Situated at the crossroads between Rocamadour and Sarlat, Padirac and Collonges-la-Rouge, close to Martel, les gites du Rigaudou are set in a 7-hectare property with 2 charming, self-contained gîtes and a large swimming pool heated from June to September. Our 2 houses guarantee privacy, with only 2 people per cottage.

This is the place to go if you want peace & quiet Beautiful setting & very well equipped cabin The owner is very helpful & charming, giving lots of local information . Martel is a lovely little village with lots of lovely restaurants & quirky little shops etc Would highly recommend 👌👌

Dejlig afslappende og rolig ferie

Dejligt ophold med søde værter og charmerende hytte. Dog havde jeg troet at swimmingpoolen var tættere på, men den var utrolig ren og flot. Alt i alt en meget afslappende ferie - næsten for stille og utrolig meget sang fra cikaderne - det skal man syntes om.

Idyllic restful holiday

This property is located in a beautiful place with absolutely stunning views. The chalet is in an oak wood, very private and quiet , just a strolls walk to the swimming pool. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Nearby Martel is a lovely town with excellent restaurants. We would very happily return!

Idyllique

L endroit parfait pour un séjour reposant à deux. Le gîte est très confortable et bien équipé avec mention spéciale pour la douche à l italienne. Le terrain est magnifique et la piscine au top. Mireille aime ce qu'elle fait et accueille ses hôtes chaleureusement. Nous avons partagé des apéros avec les autres hôtes et l ambiance est très conviviale. Le fait qu'il n y ait que des adultes offre un calme très appréciable surtout au bord de la piscine. Beaucoup d'activités aux alentours: équitation canoë visites. La nature est magnifique et martel , le village le plus proche, offre une sélection des restaurants de bonnes qualité. Bref nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. Nous reviendrons dès que possible !

Stunning, fabulous and so relaxing

It is so peaceful quiet and relaxing. The cottage is perfect size and beautifully decorated but the outdoor space is what makes it - it can be a bit chilly depending on your weather so an extra layer could be needed but if you enjoy the peace of nature you will love this. Mireille and Vivienne were the most perfect hosts . Would highly recommend this if you want to get away from the Hustle and bustle. The area is perfect for exploring some key sites with beautiful villages and towns surrounding. We hope to return and explore more.

Nous avons passé une semaine dans le gîte Reynoird : un chalet à l'orée du bois équipé de manière très fonctionnelle et avec goût. Beauté et calme sont les maîtres mots. La literie de qualité permet de bien dormir. La piscine est pratique et à bonne température. On se relaxe avec bonheur en écoutant les grillons. Cette immersion dans la nature nous a fait le plus grand bien et la région regorge de beaux paysages, de belles bâtisses en pierre et de bons produits à déguster, de quoi ravir les yeux et les papilles! Nous avons grande envie de revenir. Merci à nos deux hôtes si aimables et intéressantes!

Marvelous cabin + great hosts = excellent holiday

My husband and I had a marvelous stay in one of Mirielle's cabins. The cabin is just perfect for the two of us. Mirielle had put great care and thought into designing and decorating the cabin so that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including warm blankets for night star gazing or early morning breakfast. The entire property were beautifully landscaped so to give the guests privacy while relaxing and enjoying nature. The view of Lot Valley is magnificent in the morning with the fog, and all day long, with farm land and a castle here and there. Mirielle and Ariana were great hosts. Upon arrival, we were greeted like old friends with a glass of rose and charcuterie. We definitely left as friends and promised to come back! Mirielle recommended great villages and sites to see around the area. The property is conveniently located near the medieval village of Martel with lively markets and restaurants. It's also a short drive to all of the great sites in the Dordogne and Lot Valley. We could lounge all day at the beautiful pool and just take in the view. In all, a great location to access Dordogne while also a very beautiful property to enjoy and relax. Thank you, Mirielle and Ariana! We'll come back again soon!

Peaceful Surroundings, Genial Hosts

If we could rate this higher than five stars, we would. For a couple who seeks a quiet environment, close to nature but also convenient for day tripping in this culturally blessed region, Le Rigaudou is ideal. As others have mentioned, it is artfully decorated in a style simple and sympathetic to its surroundings and to the original architecture of the house. Impeccable taste marks both all the gites and the beautiful pool and its tended garden surroundings. You will find your hosts, Mireille and Viviane helpful and genial yet discreet and unobstrusive. In short, all one could want in hosts for a gite. It is hard to say enough good things about the environment here. If "away from it all" with beauty and adventure close at hand is the door to perfection in a vacation, Le Rigaudou or either of the smaller gites should offer you a memorable and restorative vacation. Finally, on a personal note: while my wife and I were staying at Le Rigaudou, I experienced a very unexpected life-threatening health crisis. Viviane and Mireille stayed by my wife's side and assisted her and me through the frightening and complex task of dealing with the health-care system of a foreign country (which itself turned out to be efficient in dealing with my crisis). We were truly blessed by their assistance and companionship.

Un cadre de détente idéal pour un couple

Accueil très chaleureux et sympathique de notre hôte qui a également été très disponible et serviable au cours du séjour. Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié la terrasse avec sa vue dégagée, la décoration intérieure, le calme, la possibilité de randonner à pied ou à vélo depuis le gite, et la splendide piscine bien sur. Le repos au chant des cigales

La qualification Gîte de charme est parfaitement justifiée. Le gîte est très bien équipé, joliment décoré et nous a permis de vivre une semaine de parfaite détente dans un environnement superbe. Je recommande pour ceux qui souhaite vivre une semaine en dehors du temps pressant.

Détente absolue

Après un accueil rafraîchissant (boisson fraîche et glace du pays) proposé par Murielle et Vivianne, nous avons passé une superbe semaine dans le gîte Reynoird ! Le lieu est idéal pour se détendre, on y entend que le chant des oiseaux, et la vue est superbe. La piscine est cachée dans un cocon de verdure, c'est splendide... et pour couronner le tout, son eau est "douce". Il nous aura juste manqué un peu de chaleur pour en profiter après le dîner :-( Murielle est une hôte très attentive et qui aime partager ses bons plans (resto, visite, promenade, produits du terroir...). La commune de Martel à quelques kilomètres est également très agréable et dispose de toutes les commodités. Une destination à ne pas manquer !

MAGIE DU LIEU....

Une semaine passée dans le gite Reynoird nous à apporter repos et bien être. L’endroit est magique : une vue à couper le souffle et un calme Olympien. Le chalet est très fonctionnel et la décoration est très soignée. Une magnifique piscine complète cet ensemble et permet de long moments de détente. La situation géographique est parfaite au coeur d'une région riche en ballades et activités sportives. Merci encore à Mirelle et Viviane pour leurs précieux conseils tant en visites que bonnes adresses.. notamment les restaurants. Pour tous ceux qui aime la nature, le calme je recommande vivement ce gite.

Un petit paradis ...

Nous avons séjourné dans le gîte Durocher durant une semaine. Très bien agencé, confortable, fonctionnel et bien équipé, il offre un panorama imprenable dont nous avons largement profité depuis la charmante terrasse. La décoration est soignée, le cadre est magnifique, calme et reposant. La piscine chauffée est très agréable et joliment aménagée. L'accueil réservé par Mireille et Viviane est chaleureux et leurs conseils tant sur la région que sur les adresses de restaurants fort pertinents. Encore un grand merci à toutes les deux. Pour résumer, une excellente semaine, au calme, dans une très belle région.

Charmant gîte dans une superbe région

La maison, finement décorée et avec beaucoup de goût, surplombant la vallée, est très agréable et pratique, rien ne manque. Le gîte, idéalement situé, est proche des grands sites, Rocamadour, le Groufre de Padirac et de magnifiques cités médiévales. Sans oublier les restaurants où nous avons dégusté de délicieux plats régionaux. Chaleureux accueil de Mireille et Viviane qui veillent à notre confort et nous apportent de précieux conseils sur la région. Encore merci ! Une superbe semaine pour se reposer et profiter de tout ce que la région peut offrir. Nous recommandons vivement !! Satisfaction assurée !

Magique...

Nous venons de passer une semaine aux Gîtes du Rigaudou. Par où commencer tellement la magie du lieu opère encore…. Les Gîtes sont idéalement situés près de Martel, jolie cité médiévale et excellent point de départ pour visiter les régions Lot, Corrèze et Dordogne. Les Gîtes sont d’une extrême propreté, très fonctionnels, bien équipés et surtout décorés avec soin, beaucoup de goût et raffinement. Romantiques nids douillets nichés à l’orée d’un petit bois, ils offrent une vue à couper le souffle. Contempler les étoiles sur une chaise longue la nuit venue ou diner à la lueur des bougies sur la terrasse, avec pour seules nuisances sonores… le hululement des chouettes, ont été nos passe-temps favoris après de longues journées de visites ou de canoë (base à 5 minutes en voiture des gîtes). Les propriétaires nous ont réservé un accueil très chaleureux ; leurs conseils de visite et restaurants nous ont été très utiles et discuter avec elles autour d’un verre un vrai plaisir. Merci à Mireille et Viviane pour cet excellent séjour et la douceur du lieu.
