The house was great, comfortable and appealing. Back yard fantastic. Easy in and out, had what we needed, nice linens. Quiet, wonderful to hear all the birds!
Perfect spot for our family stay. The home was clean and welcoming, well stocked kitchen for meal prep. Cozy beds and blankets. Close to everything. Thank you Cheryl for making our stay special!
Cheryl and Will’s guest house is fantastic. It really is a home away from home. We are so grateful for their hospitality for four days. They were even kind enough to shovel and salt the driveway and walkway after a snowy, icy night. Truly our stay was wonderful. We’ll be back! Thank you!
Great property, well taken care of, much larger than it appears in the photos. Excellent place to take a family, and the host is super responsive in the event you need anything. Highly recommend!
Lovely home in a great location and the host quickly responded to my questions. When we visit this area again this will be hands down our first choice for lodging!!!
Beautiful remodel of an older house. We loved seeing the pictures of it from decades past! Lots of extras, like snacks, coffee, laundry supplies, toiletries, etc. Very comfortable beds and nice linens! Convenient to State College and perfect for our trip; would definitely stay again!
This was our first time staying here and we absolutely loved this spacious, clean, beautifully decorated house. Lots of thoughtful extras were provided, which was much appreciated. The neighborhood is quiet and it was quick to get around to where we needed to go. Sofas and beds were very comfortable and the television was easy to use. Enjoyed some time out back in Adirondack chairs in the private backyard with lovely surroundings. Cheryl was the perfect host. We look forward to staying here again!
We enjoyed our stay in Happy Valley! This is a charming home that has been updated and is located in a quiet neighborhood. The beds were also very comfortable!
The location in cozy Lemont was perfect for a visit with my Son at PSU. With a coffee shop, brewery and restaurant w/in walking distance but only 5 minutes from campus driving, it was a great choice. Beds super comfy, large kitchen, lots of character in the home - we'll be back!
The house and host are top notch. The house is so well stocked. It feels like you’re in a home. The beds are like sleeping in a 5 star hotel. Will always be our first check when we need a place to stay at state college.
We came for a football game and had a lovely time at this property! Quiet street, beautiful views, comfortable, roomy, with everything we needed for our stay. We loved the fire pit and the sitting room sunrise!
It's a nice property in a quiet neighborhood. Close to downtown and the campus, but far enough away to not be caught up in the hustle and traffic. Clean house. Would return.
We were in town visiting Penn State and the home was in a great, quiet location. The owner has the home well stocked with food and amenities and the home is well cared for and clean. Would recommend. Thanks for your hospitality!

About the host
Hosted by Cheryl Gigante
Hi! My name is Cheryl and I am a mom of four boys and love all things outdoors. I have lived in State College for the past 25 years. I love people and especially to host people and when the opportunity came up to purchase and renovate the property next door to us, my family jumped on it. It was our Covid project and kept us busy for the first 6 months of it. I wanted to make it a space for families and friends to be comfortable so they can have quality time together. So, we opened it up as a short term rental and have loved it! Because of my love for people and homes in this area, I am also a realtor through a local brokerage, so if you need any help, just let me know!
Why they chose this property
The beauty of this property is the gentleman that lived there for his whole life and the stories that came out of it as we neighbored together. The house is quaint and cute with backyard that is perfect for feeling like your just literally sitting at the base of Mt. Nittany. Our house is literally right next door, so we have had the opportunity to meet such incredible people from around the world through this!
What makes this property unique
This place is so close the campus, but yet your surroundings are surreal with birds, flowers, lots of trees and Mt. Nittany in the background!
