Description does not do this property justice

The house is fabulous, so big! Great garden and a terrific pool. The kids were in that virtually the entire day, every day!! The property far exceeded our expectations and Penny and Ron are such lovely hosts and went above and beyond to help us. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone and everyone. We will be back (hopefully without the mozzies).

Nous avons passé une semaine trÚs agréable en Dordogne. Entre activités, visites et piscine ce séjour a ravi petits et grands.. Merci à Penelope pour son accueil et sa disponibilité. Nous avions oublié quelques affaires, des le lendemain elle était à la poste pour nous les renvoyer gentiment. Merci encore !!

Super séjour au calme

Nous avons passé un séjour trÚs agréable dans cette maison authentique avec beaucoup de charme. L'aménagement des espaces est parfait pour 2 couples avec enfants. Les propriétaires sont trÚs disponibles et arrangeants. Localisation dans un tout petit village au calme avec des belles choses à voir dans les environs. Pensez juste à prévoir un anti moustiques.

Belle maison, points à améliorer

La propriĂ©tĂ© et la piscine sont superbes. La maison est spacieuse et a beaucoup de potentiel. Toutefois, certains postes nĂ©cessiteraient d’ĂȘtre amĂ©liorĂ©s ou modernisĂ©s par rapport aux locations de cette catĂ©gorie de prix. Les lits sont trop Ă©troits et surtout beaucoup trop courts (1m80) pour les standards actuels. L’électricitĂ© est trĂšs ancienne, nĂ©cessitant un usage surabondant d’allonges et de multiprises (qui sont pour le reste disponibles en suffisance). Les salles de bain sont vieillissantes et insuffisamment Ă©quipĂ©es : il y manque des porte-serviettes, l’une ou l’autre Ă©tagĂšre, un rideau de douche (en haut), etc. Le Wifi est quasi inexistant et suffira juste Ă  tĂ©lĂ©charger de temps en temps un message. Enfin, la maison comprend beaucoup d’armoires et de meubles de rangement mais ils sont presque tous encombrĂ©s par un fatras de livres et d’objets divers dont trĂšs peu seront utiles aux futurs locataires.

Maison et jardin trÚs agréable et accueil trÚs gentil de Penelope et son lati

Maison grande et trĂšs agrĂ©able : grand salon, petite salle de tv separe, cuisine bien eclairee, plusieurs chambres rĂ©partis dans toute la maison pour ne pas se gĂȘner. Jardin de plein pied et piscine ombragĂ©e aux heures les plus chaudes. Arbres fruitiers. Accueil trĂšs sympathique de Penelope et son mari. Un petit rafraĂźchissement de certaines installations seraient bienvenues.

Wonderful, spacious property in gorgeous location

The photos online didn't really do the place justice. It's huge inside and the garden is enormous. Every room is large and each has a comfortable, welcoming feel. The garden has lots of various seating areas and the pool is deep and was kept clean. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area but please bear in mind that this is rural France so an hour's drive to some locations is not unusual. Similarly the nearest small supermarket is 10 mins away by car and the nearest large one around 30 mins away. We thoroughly enjoyed days out at a high ropes centre, canoeing down the Dordogne, costing chateaus and gardens as well as walking into the local village. It was great to come home to the private pool and fabulous well equipped house. Penelope and Ron were friendly, knowledgeable and keen to ensure we had a pleasant holiday. Thanks to them we did.

Excellent séjour à MonmadalÚs

Nous avons passé deux trÚs reposantes semaines dans cette maison. Tout a contribué à nous détendre; l'espace, les chambres, les extérieurs, la piscine.... Issigeac, le village à coté (4.5 km) vaut aussi le coup d'oeil. Penelope et son mari, par leur efforts et leurs services, ont aussi largement contribué à rendre notre séjour agréable. Merci

Superbe région région et belle maison ancienne

Nous avons séjourné à 2 familles. La maison est grande plein de charme de l'ancien mais avec la touche de modernité nécessaire (wi-fi et la piscine). Village trÚs au calme et donc ambiance reposante tout en ayant de nombreuses activités pour petit et grand dans un rayon de 30 km. Chouette accueil de Penelope. Plein de bon souvenir et une semaine... nous avons tous trouvé cela trop court.

Country Classic

Great spacious french country house with lots of charm and character. It has everything that you could possibly need to enjoy your stay in this lovely quiet village. It is a great base for exploring the Dordogne region and only minutes away from a great little medieval village (Issigeac) and not much further to Bergerac which can cover all of your shopping needs. On the days when you just need to relax, the pool is great for lazing around and suitable for both young and old with a very deep deep end and a good shallow end. We would love to come and stay again.
