Stayed at this property with my partner and dog. We loved the property and the cabin! Very clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful views and very quiet. Loved that there was games available. Host very knowledgeable and had great recommendations! Will definitely be back!
Very nice cabin and setup. Beautiful lake to go out on, absolutely wonderful getaway. The sauna was amazing! Christine was amazing, very friendly. Everything was more than i imagined it would be.
Owner is descendant of original property owner, so there is a deep emotional investment in the place and it shows. Christine is very helpful and accommodating and the property is conducive to a pleasant stay for all age levels.
These cabins are so cool. Everything about them makes you think of up north. My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Christine was the best host. We can’t wait to get back up there. Thank you again.
Cabins are small and rustic but very clean. Boats (small motors, kayaks and canoe) for use by guests allow a leisurely tour around the peaceful Otter Lake. Picnic table plus campfire ring right on the lakeshore. Cabins are about 30 minutes from Houghton/Hancock. Host is excellent; available but not intrusive. Will definitely visit again!
Incredibly beautiful location. The cabin we stayed in was small, but posed no problems, if anything it put another level of entertainment. The property is clean, well maintained, and managed perfectly by Christine the owner.
The cabin was equipped with all the essentials. The beds were very comfortable- better than in many hotels. The cabin came with use of rowboats and kayaks- SUPs also available- on a clean large lake. All way better than expected for the price.
Had a wonderful visit to a place I first visited many years ago. The cabins are well appointed, comfortable, and very cozy. Christine, the owner, has lovingly maintained this beautiful property on the shore. A perfect fall retreat for me, Kirsten, and the pups!
We were looking for a little change of scenery since traveling during 2020 left us feeling a little uncomfortable. The cabin was a perfect spot to spend the nights as we drove through the Keweenaw Peninsula and Porcupines for Fall Color. Cabin was clean and adequately equipped for cooking simple meals. Very centrally located yet far enough from towns to be quiet. We did not use the lake but imagine it would be enjoyable in better weather. The cabin itself is compact, adequate for 2. Christine was very welcoming as a host.
Manninen cabins is one of THE BEST places to stay at. We held our wedding ceremony there and the owner went above and beyond her call of duty to make sure everything was perfect for us. We rented all the cabins for our wedding party and we will for sure be back again. I would recommend this place for your stay!
Wonderful place to stay and get away from it all. The sauna is amazing and so relaxing after a long day. Christine is really great and very responsive.
