About the host
Hosted by Tom Anderson and Jennifer Lee
Tom Anderson and Jennifer Lee own and live in the house at 97 Westview (directly across the street) and are available to answer any questions about the home and the area and to assist with any issues. We are permanently retired now in Maine and are originally from California. We offer a complimentary wine tasting, upon request, in our pub on one evening during your stay in our fully equipped Irish pub.
Why they chose this property
This property is directly on the River at the very end of our street and peninsula adjacent to the common turnaround. It is rural, quiet, and is home to a variety of wildlife (e.g., bald eagles, seals, fish, many seabirds, etc.). At the same time it is less than 1.5 miles from the center of town, and near all conveniences such as three supermarkets, Walgreen's, gas stations, shops and restaurants.
What makes this property unique
The most unique aspect of Trudi's Place is its location including its proximity to all of the local Damariscotta Services and Merchants, while being directly on the Damariscotta River in a very rural area. The Damariscotta River produces 80% of the oysters from Maine, that are considered some of the World's best, and they are right on the shore in front of this house!
Rise in the morning directly facing the sunrise and enjoy coffee on the deck directly off the kitchen. We provide a canoe, kayak, and rowboat that are available in season as well as use of a private dock (at our main house at 97 Westview directly across the street from Trudi's Place) for direct river access.
Finally, we offer complimentary cocktails or wine, upon request, in our Irish Pub in our house directly across the street on one night during your stay of 7 days or more.
