Felt very at home. Owner super responsive to email. Lots of beds available for our family. Enjoyed the wildlife. Great location Easy check in and check out. Would use this place again
The property was gorgeous, surrounded by woods in a quiet neighborhood. The house had lots of room to spread out with our two families and multiple teens. We loved the gameroom!
Very relaxing stay in a great location !!!!! Host dropped by to check on us and was very helpful with a problem we had with one of the bikes. Definitely a nice place to Stay for a recharge !!!!!
We had a large family vacation, great location for us to ski at two different resorts. Game room was awesome for the teens and adults. Plenty of room for everyone. There some was snow during our stay and the wildlife around the house was great to see everyday. Would highly recommend for large families or friends that want a reasonable place to stay. Would stay again if we have an opportunity in the future.
Devin was quick to respond to all of our questions. We had to book late because our other place had to cancel. They were nothing but helpful and accommodating. Thank you!

Home in Colorado
We had clean beds and bathrooms, but the house needed a deep cleaning. The host was quick to address the problem later and did credit us the cleaning fee. With the heat wave this summer in the southwest, if you need air conditioning, this would not be the place for you. The children enjoyed the game room in the basement where it was cooler than the upper levels. The yard was not mowed, but the home is in a rural area, so I am assuming they leave it natural.
We loved the extremely spacious house, and the wonderful location out of town. The area is fantastically beautiful and we had nearly perfect weather all week long. I was surprised to arrive and find that this is the actual home of the host so their belongings are everywhere . First I found it stressful, but it's actually ends up working out nicely when you have children running around and lots of people in and out. We were a group of 14 so it was very relaxing to find the house"lived in" and not pristinely perfect . The owner was extremely helpful in clearing out anything we asked as we had one child with severe food allergies along. If you are wanting a high-end mansion, this house is not for you. If you like a relaxed and large family-friendly home this is an excellent place to stay.
The Mountain Manor was a perfect fit for our family of 7. We enjoyed the ample space inside and out! We were not aware it was a personal home however and that took a minute to adjust to upon our arrival. Also, it was hot in the bedrooms upstairs. There were fans upstairs but it still was hot upon our arrival and remained hot almost every night. Being Colorado, we understand air conditioning is not always needed. We just were not prepared for it being as warm as it was and the home a/c was not sufficient. Temps gradually cooled off by the end of our stay so that helped the sleeping. We would give this a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the not knowing it was a personal home and the heat. We definitely would book again - just in the cooler months of summer. We so appreciate the hosts and thank them for the use of their beautiful home!

Large house but needs cleaning and better ac
Positive - The house was large and a great size for our family of 12. The neighborhood was nice. Deer and wildlife everywhere. Biggest issue we had was the temperature on the top level - where 4 of the 5 rooms are. No AC. With 95+ days. The owner told me to open windows and put fans in the windows to circulate air. That did not help until about midnight.. there was spiders everywhere. In the house, on the deck- Needs a good spray. Cleanliness was average. Since they live here full time, there was stuff everywhere. Pantry smelled awful. Lots of owner food in the fridge. The garage was a disaster- tools lying around and crap generally everywhere. Probably would not stay here again. On vacation I want to get away from all the clutter. Could have been better described
Our first Christmas vacation and it was awesome. The owners of the house were amazing and friendly. They responded quick to any questions we had during our trip. The house was lovely, fit all 15 of us! Thank you again! And will definitely be returning.
Very much enjoyed our stay. The house is very large with many fun things to do there. We loved the scavenger hunt. The hosts are so nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back next year.
Devin and Trista are amazing! We had a very large group, and when we had filled up the trash bins early in our stay, they came out and picked up the trash for us! Amazing people with an awesome house nestled in a picturesque part of God’s county. We will be back next year for sure!! 😎
We stayed here with our friends... 4 adults 6 kids. Ages 16,15,14,14,12 and 11. This home was perfect! The family who lives here has put alot of thought into the property and we're more than kind through their communication, we joked that based on the way the space was put together we'd probably be friends lol. We drove our truck here and our friends their mini van and had no problems getting up the drive. The home is designed for entertaining and was ample space for everyone we lacked nothing as far as kitchen gadgets and utensils... I left rather jealous of the kitchen! The turkey out the panoramic kitchen window was a treat to watch. The neighborhood is saturated with our feathered friends and deer. We would most definitely stay here again. Also, it's a great location in proximity to Durango and Pagosa springs! Thank you to the hosts, we loved it!
Very clean property, owners/management was super easy to communicate with. It felt like home away from home! We will definitely rent this property again!!
This is a beautiful property, all set up for a family. It is beautifully maintained. Five bedrooms, spacious kitchen and living area, fun game room in the basement. This is located in the beautiful mountains outside of Durango…it could not have been any better. The hosts are welcoming and available for any problems…but things are so well set up that there were no problems. We loved our time here, and it made it one of the best vacations ever for our entire family of kids, and grandkids.
We had such a great time at Mountainside Manor. It was the perfect accommodation for our large group which ranged in age from 12 to 72. Everyone had fun playing in the game room, gathering for meals outside on the decks, and roaming the beautiful property. Deer and wild turkeys were regular visitors in the mornings and evenings. Devin and Trista were amazing hosts, responding immediately to any questions or requests we asked of them. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who needs space for a large group in the beautiful Colorado mountains!
This house was beautiful and the perfect location. An easy trip into Durango was tons of fun for kids and adults. Our kids loved all the toys that the owners so generously left available to use, as well as, all the wildlife that they got to see daily. There are decks to sit and relax on the front and back of the house. It is a quiet community and my kids loved fishing at the little lake. The house has tons of space to spread out and the beds are comfortable. Would highly recommend this house if you are wanting to explore around the Durango area with kids! The owners even have a huge game room in the downstairs area, a popcorn machine, and did a fun scavenger hunt for us upon arrival!
The property is ideal for families and larger groups. We had six kids and three generations of family together and it was perfect. Lots of space, games, and nature to explore. Three owners were responsive and communicative. Our kids are already asking when we can go back!

About the host
Hosted by Devin and Trista Conroy
My wife and I have three wonderful kids. We just watched one graduate May (2021) and have another in her senior year of high school. Our youngest is a toddler and she runs the house. We have a large house that we entertain at, but we also go on several vacations and visit family. Rather than letting our house sit empty for weeks on end, we thought it would be beneficial to rent our house out and give other people the enjoyment of our space, games and lifestyle. My wife and I are both full time workers in Durango. We love where we live and the different fun things we can do in our community.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property because it is in a neighborhood, but still in the forest setting. We purchased one of the nearby empty lots behind our house and are preparing to buy another lot to keep our privacy around the house. We love having some privacy and we also love our wildlife neighbors.
What makes this property unique
This house is a wonderful house to visit. It has the large kitchen to cook in and entertain guests at. It also has a large basement/game room that we offer use of our ping pong table, shuffle board table, poker table, popcorn machine and our DVD/Streaming TV with movie options. Other unique benefits include our 1 acre property that has privacy and space in several directions.
