Situated on the mesa with mountain views and just 15 minutes away from downtown Durango is The Meadowlark House. A quiet 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 3,000 square foot retreat nestled on 7 private acres. Newly renovated to invoke the spirit of Durango, The Meadowlark House is perfect for families and gatherings. The house is very spacious with a living room, an open kitchen/dining room, a game room, a spa room, an expansive outdoor patio, and a sprawling lawn. The home is air conditioned with a whole house evaporative cooler and heated by electric radiant baseboards. Thoughtfully stocked and full of amenities such as high speed internet, smart Roku t.v.’s, air filters, a 6 person indoor hot tub, a professional grade pool table, new dishes and cookware to cook a Thanksgiving dinner, an oversized grill, cozy beds, and spa-like bathrooms, the house has everything needed to make your stay worry free.

Gather with friends and family in our living room with vaulted tongue and groove ceilings, large picture windows with views of the La Plata Mountains, oak wood floors, and a cozy area rug. Furnished with comfortable couches, chairs, blankets, and pillows the living room provides for a truly homey feel for 10 people. This room is equipped with a 70 inch smart Roku t.v., electric fireplace, large ceiling fan, and decorated with a warm modern/western theme.

Whether you're hosting a festive family dinner or ordering pizza in, you're going to love our large open kitchen and dining room. The kitchen and dining room are newly renovated and feature new appliances, tile and hardwood flooring, vaulted tongue and groove ceilings, granite tiled countertops and freshly painted cabinets. Small appliances include microwave, Keurig coffee maker, Instant Pot, Crockpot, stand mixer, blender, and 4 slice toaster. Brand new dishes and flatware serve 24. Also included are all the pots, pans, serving dishes and utensils needed to cook or bake nearly anything. The open dining room features a large antique oak table with seating for 6, plus additional seating for 4 at the countertop. The dining room features access to a large back patio.

Keep everyone entertained from small kids to grownups in our game room.The game room is large and cozy with three walls of picture windows and cushy carpet. It is equipped with a professional pool table, Xbox, large smart Roku tv, plush couches, toys, books, balls, puzzles and board games for all ages. This is a fabulous space for just the kids, the whole family, or a group of friends.

Relax in our cozy bedrooms and fall asleep to the quiet sounds of the country. The bedrooms are all furnished with ceiling fans, dressers, and plenty of closet space. The master and queen bedrooms have smart Roku t.v.’s and a safe for valuables. For an excellent night’s sleep and for those who like to sleep in, all the bedrooms are equipped with day/night cellular shades that can be adjusted to your liking from filtered light to full blackout. Beautiful soft cotton linens, woven cotton blankets, and fluffy duvets adorn all the beds and an assortment of cozy pillows are provided for your comfort. Enjoy the coziest night’s sleep in our master and queen beds which are topped with plush teddy organic wool toppers that provide temperature control and maximum comfort.

Feel refreshed in our newly renovated, spa-like bathrooms. Both full bathrooms have tubs, showers, and ample counter space. White cotton towels, hand towels, washcloths, blow dryers, and toiletries are provided for your convenience. Our beautiful ensuite master bathroom features in-floor radiant heating, a spacious double vanity, luxurious deep soaker tub, and an accessible curbless walk-in shower with bench seating and both handheld and rainfall shower heads.

Escape to our luxurious spa room. Light and bright with vaulted tongue and groove ceilings, decorated in a southwest boho style, our spa room is the perfect place to ease tension and truly relax. The spa room features a 6 person indoor jetted hot tub (use at your own risk, please supervise children and pets at all times while enjoying the spa room). Relax and read a book or enjoy a cup of tea on the daybed or the rocking chair. Meditate or practice yoga with the provided yoga mats. For those who work remotely, a desk near large windows provides a well lit space for work that can be closed off from the rest of the house. The spa room also features access to the back outdoor patio.

The spectacular outdoor space includes an 8 person fire pit table and is a wonderful spot for evening get togethers or to enjoy your morning coffee. Mature trees as well as 2 acres of grass and landscaping provide a lovely country getaway for all nature lovers. The huge outdoor area is a wonderful spot for outdoor games like cornhole, horseshoes, or volleyball. Likewise, kids enjoy swinging on our two person swingset. The large patio areas include cushy conversational seating and lounge chairs with umbrellas so you can comfortably relax outside any time. The oversized grill is perfect for cooking up a feast for the whole family while enjoying the beautiful mountain and mesa views. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for local wildlife, such as: deer, fox, hummingbirds, song birds, and of course meadowlarks! *Outdoor patio furniture is not available in winter.

The laundry room is available for your use and All Free and Clear detergent, white vinegar, and dryer balls are provided. Please no outside chemicals or dryer sheets.

Kennel trained dogs are welcome.
