Our neighborhood is transitional yet packed with awesome neighbors who really get along well. We have cookouts, help each other on home projects, and socialize regularly. Some of our neighbors have been on this street between 70 and almost 100 years! They've seen some incredible changes in Charleston history. There really isn't any danger here, but sometimes people can feel uneasy from the appearance of the unique Charleston melting pot. If you're uncomfortable with an area that can look a little rough around the edges, you're probably best investing your weekend in a hotel, as even the multi million dollar homes slightly North of Broad Street have government housing by them. It's simply something else unique to Charleston!
We love going for walks through all areas of the neighborhood or going for walks or runs to Hampton and Brittlebank Parks near by. Little Line, DAPS, BoTo Bodega, Moe’s Crosstown and Fuel are just a few of our favorite spots within walking distance and great food.
