Oasis

Thia property was a gem! Company tree crew needed a place to relax after working a GDOT job and the guys raved about the privacy, the room and of course the lake to fiah in after a hard days work! The owner was 5 out 5 on communication amd we would highly recommend this property!

Fantastic cabin on lake

Blueberry Farms for the win. Everything is special about this quiet cabin by the lake. It’s close to Athens, well equipped with games and space for our family. We had frozen fresh blueberries (berries not in season yet) and the well stocked kitchen allowed for immediate home cooked muffins. There were plenty of games for the kids and space for our older children too. The fire pit, dock, and porch were charming. It was a perfect, peaceful weekend for our family. Also close to downtown Hartwell for a quaint afternoon.

The perfect birthday weekend getaway!

Jean and Mayes are the perfect hosts! The cabin is the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern convenience. We stayed here for my husband’s birthday with some friends, and there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep and for me to feed and entertain! The kitchen is so spacious and well-equipped for cooking, even making something as complicated as homemade lasagna! The men greatly enjoyed the hearth inside, the fire pit, and fishing and canoeing in the pond out back. We took a nice stroll across the property and it was absolutely breathtaking! The moonlight was incredible. Made you feel like you were so far away from civilization while being close enough by for modern day conveniences. It was perfectly quiet to enjoy the nature sounds. The cabin was decorated in an exceptionally charming manner and felt so homey and warm. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Peaceful during stressful times

Jean made our stay wonderful. We were evacuated for the Hurricane and found the peacefulness and serenity of Blueberry Farm the perfect prescription. We loved listening to the music and watching the birds on the lake. Everything about the log cabin was wonderful. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.

Rustic Relaxing Getaway

The cabin in Royston is a lovely place for family to relax and enjoy nature. The house itself has everything you need! It was very roomy and fully stocked. There was an awesome record player, board games, foosball table and pool table. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook big family meals. There were grocery stores and a Walmart within 20 minutes drive. The grounds are great for exploring, playing outdoor games, canoeing or fishing in the lake. I would not recommend swimming in the lake at the cabin as it was pretty murky. We saw lots of birds and racoons around the lake. The sunsets are incredible on the lake! The cabin is a few minutes away from several great parks and I highly recommend going and exploring the parks for great hiking or a day on Lake Hartwell. The owner was very responsive to communications and was very gracious and kind. This is definitely a place to go to relax and chill out!

Hidden treasure

Driving up to the cabin we weren't sure how secluded and private the cabin would be because Royston downtown is only a 10 minute away, but it is very private, very secluded and all you see is woods and the lake all around you, but still a short drive away from all the local shops . After the long gravel road you will find the cabin and an amazing lake view that surrounds the property. The cabin was clean, well organized, spacious and had everything needed in the kitchen (except a toaster). There was an issue with the toilet downstairs and the bathroom door downstairs and the owner said she will take care of the issues for future guest. Jean (owner) was very welcoming and answered all my messages fairly quickly. Loved the baked treat she left for us from the local bakery. Over all a great place and we will definitely book again.
