Discover your perfect getaway at this rustic, secluded 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in Effort, PA. Featuring a private fishing pond, wheelchair friendly main floor and a private heated pool, this spacious retreat is designed for relaxation and family gatherings.

The home boasts a beautiful, open-concept living area with soaring ceilings, a cozy wood-burning fireplace, and direct deck access. Our well-appointed kitchen includes a large island and ample seating, fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals for your group.

Accommodations include:
- Master Bedroom: King bed and crib (wheelchair accessible).
- Bedroom 2: Bunk bed (Full over Full), full-size day bed with twin trundle, and a twin day bed (wheelchair accessible).
- Bedroom 3 (Lower level): Queen bed, twin bed, and portable crib.
- Bedroom 4 (Lower level): Queen bed.

Entertainment is endless in our dedicated game room, which features a pool table, air hockey, a futon, and an extra full-size refrigerator.

Important Information:
- Policies: Please review our rules prior to booking. We do not host prom groups.
- Scheduling: Saturday check-ins and check-outs are not permitted. If Saturdays appear blocked on the calendar, please adjust your dates accordingly.
- Check-in/Check-out: Check-in is at 4:00 PM; check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out requests must be made 24–72 hours in advance and are subject to availability. Unauthorized late check-outs will incur a $75 fee for the first hour and a full nightly rate thereafter.
- Pets: We are dog-friendly! A fee of $100 per pet applies, with a maximum of 4 dogs allowed.

The house is a bit dated. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes etc. Lots of toys for the kids. Biggest issue was the water. The water pressure was awful in the showers. At some times a trickle. The shower in the basement is very small and almost impossible to use (im not a bug guy). The grass on tje outside was pretty big and as such was a lots of bugs. The ac in the bedroom in tje basement wasn't working.

You said THE HOUSE IS SUPER BEAUTIFUL AND THE ONLY THING YOU DID NOT LIKE WAS THE WEATHER SINCE IT WAS COLD AND RAINING. YOU SAID YOUR STAY WAS VERY NICE. YOU ASKED FOR 2PM CHECK OUT WHICH WE GRANTED. How do you go from that to what you wrote? We have pictures of the whole house in the listing which was available for you to view prior to booking. This home is in the WOODS. We are surrounded by trees, grass, and other greenery. Bugs are a natural part of the woods. Why did you book a home in the woods, in Poconos and then complain in a review? You also had 16 guests. We have well water in most homes in the Poconos and a water heater. Th pressure will depend on how much water you are using and what is being used at the same time as a shower. This is not an apartment in the city, things work differently here. You also NEVER reached out to me about any issues, only to praise the house and ask for late checkout so this is very confusing.

We had the most wonderful and relaxing stay at this beautiful property. The house offers plenty of space and activities to keep everyone entertained. The heated pool was an absolute blessing during the cooler weather at the end of May, allowing us to enjoy swimming no matter the temperature.The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with everything you could need, making meal preparation easy and convenient. The hot tub was also the cleanest we've ever experienced at a rental property in over 12 years of traveling.If you're looking for a place to unwind, have fun, and create great memories with family and friends, this is truly an outstanding choice. We would happily stay here again!

We adored our stay at this property! You’re primarily paying for privacy and amenities- fires in both an indoor fireplace & an outdoor pit (with some wood to start you off), hot tub fully prepared & rearing to go, game room including PAC machine, pool table, air hockey, & more, and a GORGEOUS & fully equipped kitchen! Property has the perfect level of privacy- tucked up in the woods off of the road (up a slight & unpaved incline) and it features a PRIVATE POND! There’s even a picnic table and 2 benches by the water. This property would be perfect for a large gathering and also a great choice if bringing children. In warmer seasons, there’s even a heated above ground pool! Has large deck with grill and tons of seating. There are 3 large comfy couches for ample seating in the main area & 2 huge couches in basement, an 8 person kitchen table & plenty of seats along the island, 2 stand up showers, 2 toilets, & a separate bath, 2 refrigerators, washer & dryer (with detergent provided), multiple TVs, and plenty of parking. The owners are very thoughtful and almost everything you could need is provided! I really love how they send a list of everything included in the property so there is no guess work as to what you need to pack. They were extremely responsive and helpful during all communication. Additionally, we loved the area of the property! There are many great restaurants that are easily accessible, as well as a couple grocery stores and other sights. Excellent property!

Mostly great

The pool table was a major disappointment. It has a huge rip in the felt, right in the middle of the table, which made playing pretty much impossible. There were a few minor things that were broken (a door handle downstairs and a dining room chair) but nothing that hampered our reason for being there Other than that, the house was perfect for our group to party in. Plenty of space. Plenty of beds. The kitchen was well stocked and was put to use. The deck was big enough to play cornhole on and still congregate.

John, there are 2 doors, 1 you can use fine, the other is locked. Not sure why you didn't use the other door. As for the chair, I wish you would have said something so that it was addressed. Instead, you gave us 3 stars but chose not to say anything during your stay. We don't come to the house and sit on all the chairs. We won't know if something is wrong with a chair unless a guest tells us so. Pool table felt can't be replaced on those tables therefore we have ordered a new pool table several weeks ago. Again, reaching out to us would have clarified all of this. Glad you still had a Mostly Great time but your rating hurts us a lot more than you think. I would think mostly great time would be more than 3 stars. Either way, you are welcomed to come back to stay with us. Hopefully the new pool table arrives very soon.

Spacious and relaxing

My family and I, along with our baby, stayed here for a week. There was plenty for space and the environment is very relaxing. It has the feeling of being tucked away but a 5-10 minute drive gets you to town or to shops and restaurants. It’s easy to drive past it though, wish the house # was further out so it’s more visible. The house is pretty old so sometimes the wires would trip. Not a big deal but happened about 3 times during our whole stay. There were a few dead bugs (it’s in the middle of the woods so not surprised about this) and crumbs of chips inside the house when we first got there, and the bedsheets were stained and old. Natalie and Bob were great - very responsive and nice. We had a nice time just hanging out on the balcony and had fun playing foosball and pool in the game room. Quick drive from NYC for a nice r&r with family - we enjoyed our stay and would go back!
