Went for a long weekend getaway with my wife and toddler. Place was as described in a great location. Close to good hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway and got into Boone and Blowing Rock very easily. Was nice to have the grill to be able to have a meal and relax at the house one of the nights.
Loved our stay. My husband and our four sons (ages 4, 5, 5, and 8) spent a weekend in this home and it was absolutely perfect for us. The home was conveniently located amidst all of the activities that we enjoyed. It was clean and homey and our boys loved the fireplace. This home was perfect for our family and we plan on returning!

Disappointed
The cabin was not at all as it appears on the VRBO site . Inside and out, was shabby and needed Major cleaning and up
We had a wonderful time. The cabin views are amazing. Walking distance to Hawksnest snow tubing. The cabin is also great location for a drive to Boone, Blowing Rock, BannnerElk, Sugar mountain. Deer come by the cabin at night and early morning. Kristin responded quickly to every message sent. Would definitely come stay again. I bet it's beautiful in spring.
High up on 7 Devil's with great mountain views. Deer dropped by often and a birder would love it too! In July, no AC and was hot even with windows open, but that's not common usually.
Small but cute round house, as listed, very clean, well stocked. Great communication. Suggest having a how to book, we could not get the TV's or fireplace to work. Nearby many attractions. Bed was very comfortable. Beautiful view from back porch. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of wildlife. We would rent/stay again.
My adult daughter and I spent two nights at the cozy roundhouse as homebase for a rafting adventure on the Nolichucky river. The house was comfortable. It matched my expectations. It wasn’t fancy. Some of the lights didn’t work. The neighborhood is in a very steep area between Boone and Banner Elk so it’s 10-15 minutes from anywhere. The beds slept well and the showers had good pressure and hot water. It was a little tricky figuring out where to park. There is a paved pullout on the street at the top of the stairs big enough for one vehicle. I would stay here again but not for longer than a couple of nights.
This house was perfect for our needs. I was concerned at first because the house has no AC, but even in August the evenings are very cool and the fresh air from the open windows was lovely. The ceiling fans had been taken down, but there was a fan in the closet to circulate the ai, but it wasn't really needed. Our grandkids thought the round house was awesome and the yard have them plenty of room to explore and run off some energy! The kitchen is well stocked and it was great to have coffee on the deck and experience the amazing sunrise over the mountains! Glad our daughter was with us to operate the Smart TV!
The home is perfectly located to all the attractions that we had planned for our grandkids. We enjoyed Tweetsie Railroad and dinner in Boone, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Grandfather Mountain and Bella's Italian restaurant in Banner Elk. Lowes Foods and Food Lion are not too far away. We cooked breakfast at the house before venturing out.
Thanks for sharing your home and quick to respond to questions! There is still so much more to see and do, so until next time we bid you adieu!
Small roundhouse on the side of a mountain with great views! Huge deck with ample seating for the 5 of us plus a grill, dining room seating for 6, sleeping quarters for 6, two bathrooms with showers, washer and dryer included!
We had a great time here and this was an excellent starting point for all the attractions around the area PLUS the 66th Annual Scottish Highland Games which we attended.
Would certainly consider this roundhouse for a second trip!
This property was conveniently located close to Boone in one direction and Linville/Grandfather Mountain in the other direction.
The house has a beautiful Mountain View with a great deck. The house was perfect for me and my wife with a easy to use fireplace. We would stay again in the future.
This was a nice little place for a quick getaway, but I would look for a larger place for a longer stay. This was a rather small house with little soundproofing between rooms. It was almost the perfect size for the 3 of us for a quick getaway, but would look for a larger place with a different layout for a larger family or longer stay. The gas fireplace was GREAT. The deer playing in the yard in the morning was GREAT. Streaming Christmas movies was awesome. View was pretty good. There were places to eat fairly close and a Dollar General very close for necessities. Grandfather Mountain can be seen from the deck and is not too far from the house. Parking would be a problem with 2 cars. There were a few minor things that need to be repaired/replaced but can tell they have been doing some major repair work recently - same with a lot of the round houses around this one. Overall, I enjoyed the stay and will keep this place in mind for a getaway for my wife and I.
The house was very clean and tidy. It has an amazing view and is very close to ziplining and snow tubing. The house came with soap and shampoo and overall was a great house and the stay was great.
Upon arrival the host had flowers and a small cake waiting for my wife’s birthday. The house is cozy’ and well stocked for cooking. The view to watch the sunrise was absolutely beautiful!
