About this property
"Go on a Wine Tour "- Rennovated private oasis central to Boone, BRock, Banner.
This Side of Paris is Axios Charlotte top 10 pick as your home away from home that captures the style of High Country living with a sophisticated element of contemporary modern living. The house is nestled in the quietness and beauty of nature, but within a short drive to all that Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk have to offer. The minute your vehicle makes the entrance to the long gravel path, serenity embraces you with a warm welcome in the summer months. The upper gravel parking area gives you access to a set of ascending steps that leads to the house. Additional parking is available in the upper gated asphalt driveway. The house sits on an acre lot surrounded by nature. Evenings are wonderful for outdoor dining on the King's Table in Wilderness Sanctuary, one of three gardens; followed by an evening marshmallow roast by the fire pit. If you travel to stay during ski season, Sugar Mountain Resort and Beech Mountain Resort are within short driving distance to the house. We recommend your vehicle is equipped with four-wheel drive as snow may fall at any time. If you enjoy fishing, there is a river at the bottom of the drive. The House: This 900+ sq foot cozy cabin sleeps up to 5 people (extra air mattress in the living room.) The house is comprised of two bedrooms, one bath, and a spacious living area. The updated kitchen is fully equipped to dish out good meals. If a rainy day settles you indoors, the smart t.v. provides entertainment or may beckon you to surf the web. Wi-fi is readily available. You are renting our private home, therefore, we ask that you agree to our rental agreement prior to booking. Check-in is any time after 3 p.m. If you need an earlier check-in time, please communicate the arrangement with us via email. We will accommodate requests as best as we can. Our 4 night stay at “Go on a Wine Tour” cabin was very comfortable. Location for the activities we did was perfect. The cabin itself was clean and cozy. A little disappointed that the fireplace in the cabin was not working while we were there. Would definitely return!!!!!
Charming home in great location with easy access to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and surrounding areas. The home was well appointed and very comfortable. We hope to return soon.

Leah,
Thank you so much for making TSOP part of your 2019 early Spring experience. We welcome you back. Also, thank you for the lovely note written in our cabin guest book.
Better than we could have hoped for. The house was gorgeous, I adored the bed swing on the side of the main bedroom. So many lovely touches. I would definitely like to come back in the future!

My daughter and I stayed here over Christmas, and the experience was exceptional. Rina was incredibly warm and welcoming from the start. She offered thoughtful recommendations for food and leisure, shared helpful tips, and was very easy to work with throughout our stay. You can truly tell how much love and care they put into this cabin—every detail was beautifully done. It was decorated for Christmas, firewood was ready upon arrival, and the setting felt both cozy and intentional. The location was perfect. Minutes from Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, and Beech Mountain, with stunning trails nearby in Seven Devils. The cabin itself felt very private, and we even enjoyed hiking right in the neighborhood. This was truly a memory for a lifetime. I highly recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again.

The Joiner family are superstar guests! They made hosting carefree. All checkin and checkout procedures were followed. The cabin was in great care during their stay. Book with Tim with confidence knowing care and respect for your home is acknowledged.
Owner was terrific with communication. We were at the house very little because we had rented a 2nd house that slept most of the extended family however the home was clean and wonderful. The mattress in the 2nd bedroom was not great for two adults for a 5 night stay but thankfully we were tired by the end of a long day.

Amanda thanks for staying with us and glad our prime location suited your family reunion.
I am sorry to hear that the twin beds, adjusted to King size did not meet your expectations. Housekeeping did note that the adjustable frame were off their secured spot. The bolts were just loose and was easier fixed. Thanks for letting us know so we could put attention to it!
Special memories were made at TSOP with my daughter and Granddaughter. This home is cozily tucked away and is a restful retreat! Great restaurants and beautiful winery short drive from the property. The owner is wonderful to communicate with, and gives attention to every detail!! She even checked on us after a Summer afternoon storm that came through the area!!!

I am an artist and interior designer who enjoys the quiet side of life. My husband and I purchased this cabin for the purpose of creating a restful place in which to retreat when life gets too busy. Our hope is to share this beautiful property with people who enjoy High Country living and long for a quiet time to rest their soul. We have invested sweat, countless hours, and a ton of love to make this house inviting for us and our guests. If you choose to stay, our goal is to make this cabin your home away from home! We are a phone call away if you have questions. Other than a quick text or phone call to welcome you, your stay at This Side of Paris will be as private as it should be. Why they chose this property
Our property is a quick drive to downtown Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock, yet it is quietly tucked away for long quiet days on the property. Hiking trails are a short drive from the cabin. For an evening of fine dining, there are several restaurants in the area that won't disappoint. There are also plenty of things for the kids to do around the property. There is fishing down at the bottom of the road, gem mining on Hwy. 105 and of course Grandfather Mountain never fails to delivery gorgeous views. In the winter, Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain are a short drive. Follow us on IG @thissideofparis for more photos, reviews, and info.
