'We loved the cabin. It definitely exceeded our expectations.'
'Late at night, I surfed the internet to look for 'cabins in Boone'. I stumbled upon the web site for Treehouse. This was my dream -- we were hopeful that it would live up to the pictures on the web site......it's even better.'
'The Treehouse Cabin is well worth the trip from New Hampshire.'
“This house is beautiful! We loved the peace and privacy. Jane went “ice skating” on the pond and took an adventure through the woods. Charm and warmth made this house feel like home. Thanks for the stay”
“This was our third trip back to the Treehouse. The first was when Shawn proposed to me in October 2000. This was a special trip back for us because our 2 year old son Evan is with us and another on the way. He loved the porch swing, throwing rocks in the waterfall, playing with all the leaves, roasting marshmallows, looking for bears in the cabin with the flashlight. We look forward to returning many times. Thanks again for the beautiful place to stay.”
“It’s Friday morning. I’m sitting here on the porch and it’s 15 degrees. That’s hard to believe when you are from Florida. We came here in search of snow and were fortunate enough to have flurries on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We also came in search of family time......time together without the distractions of life. We spent our days in the snow, exploring the pond and waterfall, sliding down the snow banks, and throwing snowballs. We spent our nights playing board games and charades in front of the fire. The cabin was the perfect backdrop for our family adventure.”

Beautiful and clean cabin in the middle of the woods, which was what we wanted. It was just what we needed and had everything we needed and then some. The kids loved exploring the nearby woods and we were able to relax with some extras, such as the hot tub, internet, and TVs with access to Netflix. This place was above expectations, and we would love to book again in the near future.
Cabin was extremely clean and well kept. Kitchen has everything you need. Fireplace was nice coming in from the hottube on the cold nights. The waterfall behind the house to the decks was amazing. What a wonderful place!
It was just amazing all around, as soon as you opened the door you can hear the water falls, very cabin like feel to the place and the fire place really set the mood to not wanna watch tv, the hot tub was great as well
This is the second year we've stayed at this cabin, and we still love it. The property is beautiful, and excluded, the cabin is very nice with all the right amenities, including comfortable bed, great fireplace, and hot tub. The check in and out is easy, and cleaning crew does wonderful work. Highly recommend!
The house was cozy and clean. Had all we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners went above and beyond having the house decorated for Christmas. The property was fun to explore.
Everything was just wonderful. From the beautiful cozy cabin to the warmth of the fireplace, our stay was truly amazing. The home was well stocked with plenty of towels and linens and the jacuzzi was just what we needed!
Amazing, just know the roads are def considered switchback mountain roads. And it’s best to do down a road and turn around to turn into the driveway. Clean, cozy, the best.
Great stay with my son while visiting Boone for app state orientation and fishing. Very clean and communication was great. The back porch is a great coffee spot in the morning and the hot tub was great after fishing all day.
We traveled to Banner Elk for our wedding at The White Crow and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The cabin was very close to the venue, which made the morning of the wedding a breeze. Everything was clean, organized, and welcoming (we enjoyed all of the decor pieces, especially the ducks!). The host was very friendly and communicative! We will certainly choose this cabin again for any future trips to the area, and we highly recommend this cabin for those attending a wedding at the same venue and looking for a place to stay!
Thank you for your compliments! We hope you return again.

David and I are Raleigh natives that enjoy retreating to the cabins as much as our guests. We are constantly striving to make the cabin more comfortable for family gatherings, fully equipped to entertain friends, and romantic enough for a getaway for the two of us. We are confident that you will fall in love with the property as much as we have!
Why they chose this property
While searching for the perfect cabin for us, I had decided that the Banner Elk area was the setting that I most enjoyed. Close to shopping and dining, but not over done or over-priced like so many nice mountain communities. The realtor showed many a cabin and there was cabin that I had truly liked, but just did not fill the desire that I had created in my mind’s eye. There was a local “For Sale by Owner” opportunity, but I did not take it seriously because the owner had two cabins and wanted to sell them together. I had settled on one cabin and wanted to buy outright and not take on a mortgage. The gentleman agreed to meet in Sugar Grove at the post office and lead us to his cabins for sale. The first thing that struck me was how the drive up the back side of Valle Mountain was so beautiful. This is starting out on a nice tone, I thought to myself. We pulled up the driveway and in front of the Treehouse Cabin. Nice setting, clean property, pretty cabin and then I opened the door. The symphony of falling water that welcomed me this early spring day was so overwhelming to me. My immediate thought was I must own this property and I had not even looked inside one of the cabins. The cabins were in excellent condition and, although in need of a redecorating, provided a strong foundation on which to build. After touring Treehouse, we walked to the waterfall, along the stream, and down to the pond. The topography and natural rolling of the property was food for the soul. On to the Bearclaw Cabin, where I was shocked to find that it had its own source of natural charm. The separate, gorgeous stream that can be seen from Bearclaw’s back deck provided its own surround sound. You can hear the stream from Bearclaw’s deck 365 days of the year. It is a healthy, vibrant courier of natural mountain water. Little did I know at the time that particular stream would be the source of our favorite family picnic spot, swimming for the kids, as well as fishing.
What makes this property unique
The Treehouse Cabin lives up to its name. It is a dwelling amongst nature. Surrounded by a waterfall, stream, and pond sitting on the back deck or in the hot tub leaves you with a sense of pure serenity. We enjoy the opportunity to explore the property, the water, and relax amidst the trees. Inside, the decor is rustic and romantic with the modern conveniences that make it an easy retreat on the eyes and the senses.
