Thanks, Teresa! We have since replaced the toaster oven! We do have a lot of glasses but they aren't all identical in nature. Will take this into consideration! Also, we did have an issue with the master bathroom plumbing which resulted in a cut in the drywall. We have since repaired it!

Thanks so much for your review. :) We have the following sleeping options: Master bedroom: 1 queen bed (upgrading to a king soon) Non-master bedroom 1: 1 queen bed Non-master bedroom 2: 1 full bed (upgrading to a queen bed soon) 1st floor common area: 1 sleeper sofa, 1 couch, 2-3 high quality air mattresses You are correct that we restrict access to the rooftop to a limited number of people for everyone's safety. There is a spacious backyard as well that you can enjoy, however. Alsom, apologies about the coffee pot. We did have a guest break the carafe and had a new one that arrived. However, my on site property manager Stosh forgot to place it upstairs. I have since done so myself! As soon as guests book we ask them to fill out a check-in form and sign a rental agreement prior to enabling access to the unit. Megan booked this property in February and we asked her to fill out this form and sign the rental agreement then. Had she done so when originally asked she wouldn't have had to hassle with these forms the day of her arrival. :)

This guest locked himself and his party out of the unit around midnight prior to the day of departure. We spent almost an hour trying to talk them through getting back into the unit with no success. We ended up calling a locksmith (a significant expense for us on NYE) to let them back in the property within an hour of the guest reporting this issue to us. Other than this, there were no issues with the guest's stay. We provided the guest compensation for them locking themselves out of the unit. We have hosted several guests since this party with no issues. I also stay in this unit myself when I'm in Chicago and have experienced zero issues with the lock, which caused this guest's complaints.

Hi Rebecca! So sorry about this experience. A couple notes: 1) We have since hired a new cleaning crew in part due to your feedback 2) We had a break in terms of having a lower unit tenant / on site property manager but we now have an on site property manager living in the lower unit of this duplex again! 3) Apologies for seeing the rat outside. Chicago as a city has had a serious rat problem for a while which has gotten worse due to the pandemic (people not eating out as much; rats used to hang out at restaurants in the past and now more so at residential properties - this is what my exterminator told me at least). We have rat traps outside b/c of this but this is a city-wide issue and honestly it still probably isn't as bad as it is in NYC! 4) Finally, once the weather warms up we will replace all of the rooftop deck furniture since it is in need of replacement. Expect brand new furniture in March / April once the snow stops / weather starts to warm up a bit!
