Rare find--Waterfront Lake Leelanau Cabin at Au She Gun with weekend stays!
Our little cabin is a rare find--a waterfront cabin right in the heart Leelanau County that provides weekend rentals for two. The cabin offers 150 feet of sandy beach frontage; the swim area stretches out for well over one hundred yards, with clear shallow water and a clean sandy bottom. It is uniquely situated on the north shore of south Lake Leelanau, offering dramatic lake vistas that stretch several miles to the south, while the western shore with its rolling green hills and majestic sunsets are also clearly in view.
It is an absolutely charming studio log cabin at Au She Gun Resort on beautiful Lake Leelanau. This enchanting cabin is fully updated, with a fully equipped kitchen, and bath, but its vintage log interior and tranquil natural setting still provide that rustic "Up North" feel.
There is a shared fire pit available for evening campfires. Two shared docks and moorings are available for your boat, and boat rentals are available nearby.
The cabin offers access to the best of both worlds. It is tucked far away from busy roads and highways, yet it is still conveniently located just minutes from all that this beautiful area has to offer in sightseeing, shopping, wineries, dining, and exploring.
Perch Cabin is a studio unit, with no private bedroom, and a very small bathroom with a stall shower. It is a light housekeeping unit: linens (sheets and towels) are NOT provided. There is a queen sized bed, and a futon with full sized mattress.
THE CABIN DOES NOT OFFER CABLE OR WIFI. NO AIR CONDITIONING
Please note that some older reviews reference family stays, because the cabin formerly had a 4 person maximum, but the maximum is now only 2 people (the only exception that can be made to the maximum capacity would be for infants). We apologize for any confusion or disappointment that this change may cause. Keywords: Cabin

We had a lovely 3 night stay in this cozy cabin with beautiful views of the lake. It is a great location to several bike and hiking trails, Lake Michigan, sleeping bear sand dunes and several quaint little towns.
We had a great stay at the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. It is so quiet & peaceful on the lake. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the shore. We will definitely be going back.
Nice, clean and quiet property... right on the lake. My girlfriend and I enjoyed all of the amenities. Hosts were super helpful and friendly. Thank you Ann and Niel for sharing your cabin with us. It made for an amazing 4th of July.
Exactly what we wanted. Quiet and away from the busy world. It was as simple as we could ask for. Great weekend getaway. Neighbors were very nice and helpful. Lakeview was awesome. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. The lake breeze and waves hitting shore made for some great relaxing mornings, afternoons and evenings. We did some great day trips all within 30 minutes.
I’ve been coming to this area since I was a kid. And have stayed in Perch cabin for the past 6 years. Perch is very clean & well organized. This is my favorite place to be, my happy place! 😃
My wife and 2 young children had a fantastic couple nights at the Perch Cabin. My son hugged us over and over to thank us for the surprise. Great memories made. And the neighbors other cabin owners were great people. thanks for having us.
My kids and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was the perfect size for the three of us.
The experience renting the cabin was extremely easy. Cheaper than a hotel and much nicer. The view and scenery were beautiful. Checking in and out couldn't have been easier. My messages were returned right away and the owner was very friendly. My kids and I very much enjoyed our stay.
Had a wonderful time for a week in late July at this little cabin on the East side of South Lake Leelanau. The neighbors were friendly, and the view and beach were excellent with soft sand and two boat docks. You can wade out in the clear water 100 yards or more and take the waters. The cabin was very well furnished and clean, and the large windows open wide all around for a nice lake breeze and the scent of the balsams to relax you in the afternoon. The cabin sits on property far enough back from the road that it's quiet and peaceful. No complaints about anything! Hope to return soon.

Clean, Cozy, Cute
This cabin is perfect for a young family looking for a getaway to Northern Michigan. Kids will love sleeping in the loft and making it their space. The grounds offer a swing set and toys for young kids, a firepit and wooden swing for those a little older, and a beautiful, hard packed, sandy bottom beach for everyone's enjoyment. It was just what we needed for our family.

Clean and lots of room for our things, well done in a small footprint. Beautiful lake!
Be clear on the address to send the payment to, mine was returned by post office. Had a canoe for our use which was a nice touch as well. We didn't use it but had a nice TV and lots of DVDs for use. Would go again!

Au She Gun
I actually stayed in those cabins as a kid for 26 summers. Our families came year after year and we made life long friends here. I remember back then having to pump the water in the sink and we only had cold water and a pot belly stove in the middle of the room. These cabins are awesome as is the beach there and the entire lake. Au She Gun will forever be in my heart and the BEST place to take your children year after year after year! Start your own memories here and you'll never regret it. It's the best.
