The house uses well water, which is safe to use, and there's also a water dispenser in the kitchen for your convenience.

For security, there are two outdoor cameras — one facing the driveway and one on the side of the house. And a camera in the garage. These cameras are never monitored during guest stays and are only reviewed in the event of an incident at the property. They are primarily in place to protect the home when it is unoccupied.

Great place to getaway

We had a wonderful time at this house for Memorial Day weekend. Outside is wonderful. Loved the paddle boat and the kayaks, and the kids were able to catch so many fish off the pier. Great deck and hot tub also.

Wrestling weekend

The location was perfect for our stay with kids wrestling at Wings Event Center. The large yard and hot tub were the perfect place to relax after a long day in the arena.

Great Long Weekend

Me and my friends stayed for a long weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was as pictured and clean. The beds were really comfortable, we enjoyed playing in the game room and loved that the hot tub had a speaker and bluetooth capabilities. We will definitely be back.

Spring Golf Trip

Wrestling weekend

We were in town for my nephew’s wrestling tournament. While we didn’t get to hang out at the house much, the beds were comfortable and the hot tub was great for relaxing after a long day. We hope to come back when the weather is nicer to enjoy the lake.

my experience

i had a good time at the lakehouse, its very spacious and had everything me and my friend needed to be comfortable. we loved the kitched area the most because we love to cook so that was very exciting for us.

Wonderful house on lake

My family came to town for my sons wedding. This house was the most wonderful place. We had very comfy beds, kitchen was so nice and big. Living room area was very nice also. We made lots of great memories. Its a very nice home. I wish it was a little warmer out cuz we would have totally enjoyed the outside and the lake. I will be coming back again. You wont be disappointed.

Very nice lake property.

This is a very nice lake home, and the host is awesome! We were called to the area for a family funeral, not the greatest circumstances. While there, the host did everything in her power to make the stay pleasant. We are extremely grateful, it made the whole experience much easier! There were a couple of small issues, but the host/owner were quick to handle things. Great people to work with. Hopefully we'll be able to return under better family conditions.

The house was great, plenty of room. The kids had a great time with the air hockey/pool table. Was a little disappointed with the lake, thought there was more sand for the kids to dig in. You couldn't walk right into the water to play, bottom was too soft and weedy. Fort Custer recreation area and Ramona Park were nice but we were looking for a property where we could walk right down to the water and play.

I am sorry that the lake was not in the best condition. Association hired a new lake management company to control the lake and weeds. Hopefully that will be resolved pretty soon. As far as the sand, we had to put river stones on the shore due to spring floodings that was taking over the yard and yard would get flooded half way.

Kids had fun

Weather was cold and rainy, but the kids found plenty to do. Game table got used a lot, as well as hot tub, fishing off the dock, and the firepit. Very spacious house. Only concerns were some of the tiles in the kitchen/dining area protruded and toes were stubbed. Safety rail at top of the stairs was wobbly, which is a safety concern. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Price was reasonable.

Hello, thank you for bringing to our attention the safety rail issue. That will be fixed asap. As far as the tiles, there is nothing we can do. The tiles by itself are uneven (the design of them) so there is not much we can do about it. We are glad that the kids had fun and were able to fish off the dock, this is the favorite part for my kids as well!

Accurate and clean

The listing was accurate. The home was clean. The host was easy to communicate with. It was a very quite neighborhood. Even over the holiday weekend!! It's a good size for a multi-generational family. The kitchen was stocked better than other rental kitchens. My only complaint is the lack of "swimmability" in the lake. The bottom is very soft, and there are a lot of lily pads near the shore. We didn't feel comfortable swimming in that area, due to the amount of possible snakes that could be living among them. The only way out to the lake is through the lily pads, so unless you're on a boat, you can't access swimmable water. I know that there's not much to be done about this issue. I did speak with a neighbor that mentioned that this end of the lake gets the most lily pads each year and this year was worse than most. Maybe it's been better in past years and will be again in the future? So if you're looking for ease of swimming access, this one is not a good option. But if they can fix it, the remainder of the lake is pretty clean and nice to kayak on.

Thank you so much for staying at our lake house. And yes we are having some problems with the lily pads. This year association hired a new lake management company to control the lake and weeds , so all of us are hoping that the problem will be resolved sooner than later. The company was hired at the end of July and we were told that it will take some time for the results. Hopefully by next summer we will have a clearer water. Also this year we did not get a lot of rain, so the lake water levels are down. But we are glad that you had a great time and liked the house! We do hope to see you back!

Me and my husband we live in Chicago area, we bought this house to enjoy the quite lake and relax on our care free days when we don't have to work. After sometime we noticed that we can't be there all the time so we decided to offer the relaxing setting to other people that need a time away from their busy lives. We just wanted to share our house and welcome anyone who wants to have a nice, relaxing vacation away from the city and all the noise.

Why they chose this property

The house sits on semi private Pickerel lake. The lake is all sports lake, you can go swimming, fishing, jet skiing, boating or do any other water activity. During winter the lake freezes and ice fishing is available. It is a quiet lake since there is no public beach. The lake is about 135 acres in size. It is approximately 10 feet deep at its deepest point. When fishing you can expect to catch variety of fish including Bluegill, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike.
