We had a great stay and loved the location of the house - close to skiing and to both Truckee and Tahoe City. Great communication by the host. Thank you!
This house is so beautiful. Perfect for families and close to skiing. It has everything you need. The heated floors were so nice. The host was so gracious and kind. We absolutely loved our stay here and look forward to returning.

We had the pleasure of hosting Brooke and her family, and we would gladly welcome them back anytime. She demonstrated excellent, proactive communication, which made for a seamless experience—especially while navigating the historic heavy storms in the Tahoe Truckee area. They followed all house rules, treated our home with great care, and left the property in perfect shape. Highly recommended!
The property was very clean and well-maintained, which we truly appreciated. The location is also very close to the ski resort, making it quite convenient for our stay. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The driveway is very steep, and it was icy upon our arrival. Unfortunately, my husband slipped when getting out of the car, which raised some safety concerns. In addition, the beds would benefit from being replaced. They were quite small and noticeably noisy, which affected the overall comfort during our stay. It would also be helpful if the property included a washer and dryer for added convenience.Overall, we had an acceptable stay, but addressing these points, particularly the bedding and driveway safety, would greatly improve the guest experience.
The cabin is very cozy and well equipped for our stay with friends while attending a music festival at Palisades. The owner/manager was responsive to questions and request throughout our stay. Will plan to stay here again if available.
Our family of 6 had a wonderful time staying in the cabin. It's located just a short drive to Palisades. The cabin is very roomy, bright and has a great view of the mountains. The owner was very responsive and pleasant. We would recommend the cabin to our friends and hope to come back again.
We loved this stay! The furnishings are comfortable and luxe, especially the bathrooms and the big comfy couch. The view of the woods is striking, and we especially enjoyed watching the sun come up over the mountain in the morning while we drank our coffee. It was conveniently located to Donner Lake, Truckee, and West Shore, although that also meant we could hear road news on 89. We’d come back again, and thank the host for their excellent communication and amenities!
Perfect, cost-effective location to ski Tahoe. It’s only about 10 minutes away from here. I thought the cabin was well maintained and stocked and made for a comfortable stay. Communication with host was excellent. Recommend trying to initially find the driveway entrance during the daytime. It’s a bit tricky at night!
The cabin is located right off the highway, about 10 mins from town. It is a beautiful property. The host was very responsive to my questions and very helpful. The second bedroom has a cute little loft with 2 twin beds. My son loved having his own little area to play and sleep. The house had all of the amenities needed to cook and bbq. I definitely recommend staying here.
We are a family of 5 that stayed here over New Year's and had an amazing experience. The cabin was clean and had all the comforts and amenities listed and that could be expected. The main bedroom with a Q bed had a private bathroom. The second bedroom had a Q bed and a loft with two twin beds. It was an easy climb up the sturdy loft latter and plenty of standing room and place for bags in the loft. The second bathroom was just across the hall. The heated floors in the house were wonderful, and made it very warm in the entire cabin. Together with the gas fireplace it was easy to control the temperature in the entire house. The views from the windows in the main living room/kitchen were a treat!! We parked at the bottom of the driveway since there was so much snow up top, but with less snow we could easily have driven up to the house and parked there. It took us only 12 min to get to Palisades for skiing, so the location was very convenient too. The host was very responsive as well, and even made sure we knew there was propane for a back up generator in case there was a power outage. It was not needed during our stay, but super helpful if that ever happened. We hope to be allowed to stay here again!!

Gunilla and family were exceptional guests, we were delighted to host them. They were great in maintaining cleanliness, treating with utmost respect, as if it were their own. We would be more than happy to welcome them back anytime. Thank you, Gunilla, for such a wonderful guest!
Very happy with our stay. Highlights were the great location, coziness, and cleanliness. Easy check in/check out instructions, host has excellent & professional communication. Only one obstacle: Driveway is incredibly steep. On the iciest of days we were unable to make it up the driveway in a truck with chains, and the walk up an icy drive with suitcases and groceries could be quite difficult. However, this would not deter me from booking again and host gave us ample warning.
We loved this spot. The cabin is less than 10 minutes from Palisades resort, less than 15 to Tahoe City and Truckee, and maybe 45 to Reno-Tahoe airport. So convenient! The living room is cozy, and it has a well-equipped kitchen for basic cooking needs as well as two comfy bedrooms. The cabin is up a hill from a main road, and the driveway is easy to miss, so go slow when you are getting close. The driveway is steep, so if it is icy, you may have to park at the bottom and walk up. We had no issues with that though! Sri was a great host and very responsive. Would 100% love to stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Sri’s place. The house was clean with comfortable beds and incredible views of Big Chief from the living room/kitchen area. Fully stocked kitchen, great for cooking, and has a large dining room table for eating. Be aware that the loft is very high up so not suitable for young children unless accompanied by an adult. The location is great - right between downtown Truckee and Tahoe City - although the traffic from highway 89 is pretty loud. (Not bad with all windows closed though.) Overall, we loved the spot and had an amazing stay. Would definitely come again.
This was a great place to stay! I've had the experience with other rentals where the place just wasn't quite as nice as what the pictures suggested, and I was afraid this was going to be the same thing. But if anything, it was even nicer than what the pictures showed! There's a loft in the second bedroom that you can't even tell is there in the pictures, and the kids loved it. We had everything we needed here in terms of amenities, the cabin was very comfortable, and everything worked great. Aside from the cabin, Sri our host was also great. We vacationed here during a huge winter storm, so there was quite a few external factors that could have made things worse, but Sri was very communicative and responsive, and really went above and beyond to help our stay be very fun. Highly recommend!
Truckee gem in mountain setting - Highly recommend!
We spent 4 days here and really wished we’d stayed longer.
We enjoyed the location as this home is very close to Olympic Valley and all the surrounding areas; including a short drive to either downtown Truckee, Donner Lake or Carnelian Bay.
The exterior of the home is beautiful!
The interior of the home is very welcoming and designed beautifully.
The kitchen has everything you would need to cook/prepare a meal if you didn’t want to go out to eat. Several grocery stores are also just a short car ride away.
The WiFi connection was strong and the Smart TV gave us all we needed for marathon movie and binge watching our favorites in the evening.
The entire home is spacious and comfortable with the bedrooms / bathrooms set up to maximize space.
Communication with our host was friendly, easy and welcoming.
We would absolutely consider staying again.
Perfect and wonderful. We had a very great week. Fireplace was great. Very confortable house. Nothing was missing! Sri responded quickly to our questions.
For improvement:
- Maybe one address more visible when driving on River road.
- Maybe better lighting in both rooms to read in bed at night.
- Maybe one groom to do some quick cleaning during the stay.
Again we are very happy and this property is a great choice. I had conferences everyday at the Everline Resort and Spa and I was at 8 minutes drive. We skied 2 times at Palisades, 2 times at Alpine Meadows and one time at North Stars. Everything was close and easy.
Thank You

Jacques and his family were fabulous guests. They took impeccable care of our place. Very respectful, highly recommended!
Overall this is a great house. Spacious, comfortable and warm. We loved the heated floors, the comfortable couch, the openness of the floor plan and the huge windows.
The owner is responsive and allowed us to book an extra day due to weather/road conditions which was super nice.
The only thing that would made me hesitate to go back in the winter is the driveway. When we went, the snow made the driveway un-drivable . We had to park at the bottom of the driveway and carry our bags all the way up to the house. The driveway is steep and long. I would be concerned to go back with elderly person, a baby or a handicap person. This would not be an issue in the summer/warmer months.
