Enjoy staying at this adorable mountain cabin at Donner Lake in Truckee, CA. This is a prime vacation spot. The beach is within walking distance. There is great access to rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, golf, snow skiing in the winter and so much more! The cabin is in a peaceful setting that backs up to a seasonal creek. The hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure! Well-behaved pets are welcome.

Great for Small Family with Pet

We enjoyed this property for its proximity to the West End and nice seating areas in both the front (good people watching) and back (nice quiet area near creek) of the cabin. We appreciate the owners allowing a pet to vacation with us, too.

Charming cabin, incredible outdoor space

The cabin was a perfect fit for our family of 4 with a blend of new upgrades and classic cabin feel. The back deck is immersed in the natural surroundings of quaking aspen and pines, with a gas fire pit and hot tub, and direct access to Lakeview Canyon creek, great for climbing with the kids. Our host Kathleen was very responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will stay here again.

Great location!

Our family enjoyed staying on Donner Lake for the first time! We loved the woods surrounding this cabin and the short walk to the West End Beach. Cabin was cozy with everything we needed. We especially loved the BBQ grill and espresso maker. It was a hot July 4th week, but the cabin has a great cross breeze so we hardly noticed the heat. Close to water sports rental, groceries, ice cream, restaurants, and Lake Tahoe too. Our main criticism is that the cabin could be cleaner. A good deep clean as well.
