This VRBO was perfect for a girls week. Friendly neighbors, convenient location, and clean. Hopefully our schedules allow us to stay here again next year.
This property is amazing, cozy, and well equipped. Ed and Romona are great with communication and giving us all the important information we may need! I definitely recommend it and we will definitely be coming back soon!
The cabin is in a very quiet neighborhood, a short drive to several restaurants and our favorite beaches. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Will definitely stay here again if I get the opportunity!
Very nice house/cabin near the Homewood Ski Resort. We loved our stay. Great location with a well equipped kitchen. The car port was great to have when it snowed. Plenty of room to park our car. Great for a family.
Clean house; well-equipped kitchen; well-stocked pantry; enough paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning products for your whole stay (yay!); good wi-fi; notes with instructions everywhere you need them; good communication with hosts. Would definitely book again!

House was clean and equipped with everything needed including a baby gate to keep my granddaughter from climbing on the stairs ! We stayed there with our children for our wedding and that house will always hold a special place in my heart.
This place is great for our young families. There was a lot for the kids to do around the property when we weren't visiting Tahoe sites. We enjoyed eating meals out on the deck and love the layout with the living/dining room/kitchen upstairs with a lot of natural light. The owners were very responsive when we were there and provided a lot of helpful information up front before we got there. Would love to stay again in the future.
Loved the quiet peaceful neighborhood, friendly residents, opportunities for lots of activities (hiking, biking, fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming, shopping, farmers mkts etc...) within short distances. Just didn't like the stairs for my hurt knees and could use better lighting in bedrooms for our older eyes.

Thank you Irene. Please excuse my late response to your review. Your five star rating and positive comments are very much appreciated. We hope you will return. Ramona
Quiet, convenient location for exploring the hiking trails near Lake Tahoe. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Lots of amenities. Having a washer/dryer and a comfortable mattress made for a much more pleasant visit. Even little things, like plenty of hangers in the closets, was appreciated.

Wonderful, easy to find and great location
My family and I rented this cute cabin for the weekend. It had everything we needed and more. It was in a great location and wasn't far from things. The master bed was very comfortable and the house was clean. If we come back to Tahoe we would definitely like to rent this home again and I would recommend it to our friends and family.

About the host
Hosted by Ramona Hodges
In 1989, my husband, Ed, and I, realized a dream to build a cabin in Lake Tahoe. Ed taught science and Math at a Middle school for 38 years and I worked as an RN at a local hospital for 40 years. We have lived in San Jose for over 50 years & have 3 grown children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. We are a very close family and enjoy spending time together. Our family has had many memorable times together at the cabin; skiing, playing games, sharing meals, hiking, biking, swimming, and so much more.
Why they chose this property
We had always wanted a vacation home; a place to 'get-away' and find serenity amid the natural beauty of our earth. So, one day, when the opportunity arose to buy property in the Chamberlands, a premier subdivision on the Westshore, we jumped at the chance to realize our dream. We worked with a local contractor to plan and build our vacation cabin and are grateful to realize our dream.
What makes this property unique
We love our cabin for the peace, fun, warmth and beauty it provides. In the summer we enjoy walking in the Chamberlands, and to the beach. We love sitting on our deck, barbecuing, playing games and sharing time and love with our family and friends. We enjoy eating breakfast at the Firesign Cafe and dinner at the Sunnyside restaurant as well as other lakeside restaurants nearby and in Tahoe City. We like to drive to Virginia City and visit the historic sights. My husband likes to go to Cabelas on Highway 80, a 45 minute drive, and I like to gamble occasionally at the nearby Casinos. We never tire of visiting beautiful places such as Emerald Bay, Eagle Lake & nearby Erhman Mansion. Our family & friends also enjoy everything the Lake has to offer; biking, hiking, boating, fishing, skiing, gambling, shopping and so on.. One of my favorite things to do is to make needlepoint, embroidered and crocheted art work for the cabin which, in my opinion, just adds to its charm. My husband likes to build things that make our life and our guests lives easier and more fun such as: a giant swing and horse shoe pit in the backyard and a covered firewood shed close to the cabin making it convenient to get wood for the fireplace in the winter. Our children love to ski and snowboard and appreciate the convenience of driving such a short distance to several ski resorts.
