About this property

Apt 2A Lake Bomoseen Inn “The Dog” with boat slip.

If this unit is booked, please try similar units Apt 2B or Apt 3C in the same building.

The building is a historical landmark known as The Dog built in 1903 with modern electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling. This is a comfortable well lit studio. The boat slip is across the street and can accommodate up to a 20ft boat. We have completely renovated the building and furnished the units with modern appliances. Come work remote, enjoy the lake, relax and have fun.

The space
Apt 2A is a studio unit on the second floor of The Dog in Lake Bomoseen. There is a fold down couch bed and a pull out twin size bed. An intercom video door entry is available to allow guests entry in the main door.

Guest access
The floor has a small 2-person balcony shared by the three apartments on the floor. The boat docks are across the street. The "Dog" bar/ restaurant is open in summer. Sorry, no pets.

Other things to note
There is not an elevator. The historic building is not ADA accessible.

Nice location right by lake bomoseen with a small general store right next door with an ice cream sh

Went up for a fishing trip so really only used room to sleep in. Was nice and clean with plenty of parking for truck and boat with outside plugs for charging boat batteries.owner was pleasant to deal with.

The kitchen was spotless! Bathroom was very close - I swept the hard corners and around the john. The bed was comfortable. The baseboards behind some furniture could use a good cleaning. The armoire provided very few hangers and the extra bedding/pillow were thrown in with no room for hanging. Loved the AC. Needs more lighting/lamps. Location is good. Other guests were a bit loud - feet and door slamming. Loved the keyless entry for both the building and apartment. Thank you for making everything so easy!

Perfect Location

While visiting our son at Castleton we stayes at this property instead if the usual hotel. So glad we did. Nice little area where we couldtakr a walk down along the water, they have a basketball hoop out back we used as well. we spend very little time in the room, vut while there it was very clean. My emails to the owber where always answered quickly. We will definitely book here again

The unit was great! It was clean and well stocked (towels, cleaning supplies, dishwasher, extra blankets, air conditioned). The location says it is on the lake: it is across the street and about 100 yards away from a channel that leads to the lake. There is a GREAT deli/ice cream shop directly behind the property. Overall, it was in a centralized location and clean.

Nice little place

This is a small place offers everything needed for a weekend away and being self sufficient. The only downfall was the sleeping arrangements, the couch/bed was uncomfortable and the fold down bed was tiny. I would recommend the owner re-organize the room and try to get a normal mattress in place, even if there is a slight loss of space.
