Two bedroom, two bath 11th floor beachfront condo with unobstructed views overlooking the Gulf of America. Our building, and our unit in particular--on the north side of the building--is one of only a few on Marco Island which offer views unobstructed by other buildings. This end unit features a 45 foot front balcony, a small back balcony, and walls of new hurricane-resistant windows with expansive views of the Gulf and the canals of Marco Island. On a clear day, the views extend to the skyline of Naples. The condo sleeps six, with a king bed in the master bedroom, two twins in the guest bedroom, and the sofa in the living room converts to a queen sleeper.
The private and gated property features beach access (a five minute walk to the water), a pool with large deck, tennis and pickleball courts, shuffleboard and boche ball, docks for walking or boat dockage rental, and beautiful grounds. The property abuts (and overlooks) Tigertail Beach, a relatively quiet public beach and nature area with playground equipment and a food vendor. Our unit is clean, comfortable, and unpretentious, and our guestbook features consistent comments about the beautiful views enjoyed and wonderful stays of our guests. Don't get stuck in a dark, smaller interior unit with limited windows and views, and small balconies--rent our larger end unit! Please note that our condo association separately charges a $100 registration fee payable by noon following the date of arrival.

Completely enjoyed staying in this condo. Great view, kitchen well stocked for cooking and comfortable beds. Owner was very kind to accommodate a change in our dates. I would stay here again.
Excellent location and lovely rental. I can’t say enough about the view/location. We didn’t mind the mild trek to the beach the condo was clean and quiet had all the comforts of home
Check-in was a breeze!! Condo was well equipped, clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! Location was fantastic! Easy to get to everything on the island! Views from the balcony can't be beat! Sunset is simply gorgeous!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
This condo is located in a gated community and this particular unit is at the end of the property. This location was quiet and being a upper level, corner unit, it has great views!
Good location in the SST towers. Nice views of the ocean and sunset. Property was clean when we arrived. Minor problem with A/C that was fixed promptly. (Thanks) Dated decor but not a problem. Needed a little maintenance on some items such as ceiling fans. Overall we had a very good stay at this property.

Our arrival instructions are included with our rental agreement, which guests agree to when booking the condo on VRBO. Our customized acceptance message repeats the key parts of the arrival instructions, complete with address, hours, and phone numbers to call. Both sets of instructions remind our guests that if they arrive late (after 4 pm on Saturdays), they should call ahead to the rental agent just to confirm the keys will be left in the late pickup box. If there is a problem after hours, the rental agent's office provides an emergency number to call. The rental agent's office is just about the nearest commercial building before reaching our condo, and it is right on the way. We are committed to the satisfaction of our guests, and will continue to look for ways to make the key pickup process even easier. Unfortunately, as of this writing, electronic locks are not yet available for the mortise-style doors at South Seas Towers.
We stayed at this unit in July. The beach was a bit of a walk, but was pleasantly not all at crowded. If you walk a bit down Tigertail Beach you can even have a section all to yourself. Taking the walk through the lagoon is shorter, if you are not taking too much to the beach and willing to get wet on the way. There were beach towels, toys, chairs and coolers available to use in the closets. The only recommendation that it would be nice to have a cart available to haul things to the beach, especially since it’s a bit of a walk.
While the condo building has a lot of rules, they all felt reasonable and didn’t impact the experience of our vacation at all. If you have young kids, be aware that they are very strict about no jumping/horseplay at the pool.
The unit is a little outdated (photos are accurate) but comfortable. My teens loved the recliners! The balcony views were awesome. I do think with a little updating, the owners could easily charge more for rental.
All in all, we had a fantastic week in Marco Island!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit on Marco Island! The condo had all the amenities of home we needed. Our favorite spot by all was the balcony and the beautiful views. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable and plentiful. We enjoyed the shade in the morning for breakfast, in the afternoon after the beach and pool, or in the evenings looking at the stars and listening to the ocean. The master bedroom king size bed was very comfortable and spacious and had amazing views from the bedroom as well. The living room was very warm several afternoons, but being in August with temps in the 90's that would probably be expected in Florida, so we tried to keep the blinds closed as well to keep it cooler. We did encounter some ants around the sink several days, which we unfortunately found out after placing groceries there the evening we arrived and had to throw away several items, but found ant spray under the cabinet and sprayed and avoided placing any food items on that counter the remainder of the week. Kids enjoyed the internet, with only 1 brief interruption during a bad storm when the power blinked, but quickly restored. The lagoon was peaceful to observe, but did make the walk to the beach a little daunting during the hot week as no air seemed to circulate as you passed behind the lagoon on the 5 minute trek to the beach. Enjoyed the beach as it was not overly crowded, many beautiful shells, and ability to explore and walk in a safe environment. Having a family a of 5, having public laundry was a concern prior to the trip, but it did work out with establishing a routine and setting alarms on my phone, with only a few occurrences with someone not taking their laundry out of the washer in a timely manner having to wait and someone had spread their clothes all over all the washers and dryers to dry one evening, but did not require me to sit by and wait for it to wash and dry as I anticipated. The condo had plenty of room for a family of 5 to spread out, gather in the living room, or eat around the table. It was very peaceful and serene being in the end unit and gorgeous views of the city, lagoon, and ocean. Would highly recommend!
The view of the ocean from the balcony was amazing. We loved sitting out there at night. The place is well-furnished, the furniture really comfortable. Close to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Biggest asset is views. Excellent views from the 11th floor. A little outdated but clean. Good communication with owner. A long walk to the water. Weather was typical FL summer so a lot of rain. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Overall a good experience.
This condo was well stocked, I cooked quite a bit. It had a beautiful view of the lagoon and the beach but the condo itself needs some improvements. In all fairness we knew it was quite a ways back off the beach but experiencing the long walk was quite a bit much for us. We just couldn’t drag all our stuff to the beach because it was too much work. We don’t normally sit on the beach as we beachcomb alot so walking the Tigertail beach stretch was tiring to us after a day of walking the beach so we never brought chairs, umbrellas etc. We appreciated the comfiness of the beds and sofa/ sofa bed.. Though there are a few things that need improvements, like the recliner chairs, toilets (very low) and new coffee maker and the kitchen counter stools. They were so wobbly I was really scared to sit on them. The power did go out for almost 2 hours one night followed by an evacuation of the tower. That was a major inconvenience as we still don’t know why we were evacuated. The owner was in contact with us and answered many questions before our actual stay but we Would have really appreciated a follow-up after the evacuation. Overall it was a good stay but we think it’s a better fit for a younger family willing to do the trek.

About the host
Hosted by David Powers
We are from Michigan and have two vacation rentals. The other is in Harbor Springs, Michigan (search for VRBO Hideaway Valley 50). We work hard to make sure our places are clean and in good order, and that every guest has a great vacation.
Why they chose this property
We made two separate trips to Marco Island looking for a property to buy. During one of those trips, we stayed at this condo. The unobstructed view is very unique. It was better than anything else we saw. So we wrote letters to the owners of the northwest facing end units of floors 10 and above, telling them we wanted to buy. The owner of this unit responded, and we did not hesitate to buy it!
What makes this property unique
Our unit’s views face west and north, so you can keep the blinds open most of the day without worrying about the hot sun blasting in at you. But there is plenty of sun on the balcony in the afternoon and early evening, until the sun sets right out in front of you. Our unit also does not face the pool, so it is quiet. And it is on the end, so there is no foot traffic walking by. And unlike most any other condo tower on Marco, there is no tower next door with people looking back at you. You will have privacy, and your views will be unobstructed.
