You can't get any closer to the beach than Happy House 2, an oceanfront duplex condo with a brand new boardwalk installed in 2019. This absolutely gorgeous condo has been updated from top to bottom with high-end finishes, including refinished hardwood floors, custom tile, hand-painted murals, granite countertops, lovely furnishings, and beautiful appliances. 2023 renovations include newly-paneled walls with fresh paint, new curtains, new chandeliers, and high-end decor. You'll feel completely at home with luxuries such as free WiFi, TVs in the living room and all of the bedrooms, a DVD player, and a washer/dryer. Best of all, you can gaze out upon the ocean from the primary bedroom, the living room, the kitchen, and the dining room. Open the French doors and extend the living space to relax on the private balcony and watch the waves crash on the shore.

Comfortable and convenient, this property offers you the best of both worlds - a quiet North Ocean City setting but with all of the fun and excitement right at your fingertips. Many great shops, activities, and restaurants are within walking distance, including Lost Treasure Golf, Sun & Surf Cinema, and the Fenwick Island Lighthouse. Enjoy direct beach access, an outdoor shower, and private parking for two cars at no cost.

The bottom floor of the building, Happy House 1, is available to rent as well.

THINGS TO KNOW
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great spot for family vacation

We had a wonderful multi generational family vacation at Happy House 2! The unit had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The oceanfront deck was a beautiful spot for morning coffee and evening wind downs!

Great Family Getaway

Wonderful beach front stay

Our group had three couples and one baby, and this location was excellent for our stay. It had enough space, nice amenities like TV and AC in each bedroom, easy beach access, and a phenomenal view of the ocean. The only downsides of this place are thin bedroom doors that don't block much noise and low clearance parking spots.

Good family rental in the very northern area of Ocean City

An accurate listing allowed us to properly prepare for necessities, food purchases and family sleeping arrangements. We are very familiar with Ocean City, and so knew this property.

Summer of 2024

I was taken back to my younger years…the location, the beach and most certainly the interior of the house….Even though we were in Ocean City, the beach was not crowded, it was far from the distractions of the city. We saw the dolphins every morning around 7:30…we had the beach to ourselves. The walk to the beach..down a flight of stairs..onto the sand with the sun glazing over the waves..back at the house…more of a cottage style home…older house with beautiful walls, pictures, furniture and the mural…ohh the memories that I will treasure…Thank you Happy House 2…you will never know what that week in Summer of “24” did for me!

Very clean.could see updates. 3 of 4 closets couldn’t be used for storage as they were musty

Besides closets not being able to be used since old musty odor, the air units in each room were filled with black mold . We used Clorox wipes to clean what we could but the inside was filled with black mold from condensation. House had a musty smell so I felt it was not a healthy place to be. Expensive to rent with the old smell from closets and air units we were very unhappy. I did tell the rental Co when I called about the vacuum not working about the units having mold

Great view and convenient location

We enjoyed our stay, and the apartment was as described. We had no cleanliness issues like what were mentioned previously, however we had an issue with ants. Vacasa has been made aware of the ants, and it was getting better during our stay. An inconvenience but nothing unexpected in the summer. The bedrooms were tight, and overall somewhat musty. The vacuum didn’t work well, so keeping sand at bay was challenging too. The outdoor shower and storage space in the carport were an added convenience, making getting out to the beach a breeze. The view from the porch was fantastic and we enjoyed every morning and evening there. We had no safety concerns while traveling there with kids. There was very little in the way of family games and puzzles compared to some places we have stayed, so be sure to pack your own in the event of a rainy day. Parking was actually no trouble for us, even though we expected to have difficulty after reading other reviews. We were able to fit 2 SUV’s under the house in the carport (Subaru Ascent). There was also nearby street parking if needed.

Disappointed with the stay

The property was quite dirty. And that was very disappointing. Furniture very old and mold smell in the rooms. The only thing nice was the view and full kitchen.

Loved the house and location. Right on the beach, easy to walk back and fourth with small children. House has all the things you might need but could be cleaned better - pretty sure no one has looked under the beds all season - we would def. stay here again :)

Nice beach vaca

Overall we enjoyed our visit. The 7 of us were very comfortable. Kitchen is decently stocked. Balcony is great. Beach is amazing. Plenty of ice cream and mini golf places are walkable. The house could have been a bit cleaner - especially under beds, chairs, etc. Also lacked towel bars and hooks to hang things. Outdoors immediately under and around the house really needed to be picked up: trash, broken chairs, etc lying around.

Happy house 2

The location of this very well decorated beach home was awesome…. Kitchen was very well stocked and furnishing were very nice! Adequate parking for 2 cars under house and felt safe leaving beach equipment outside 😊 However, upon arriving (at 4pm after getting keys from realtor) we discovered that the house was still dirty …. I started vacuuming and cleaning the fridge and owner arrived with another cleaning person who finished cleaning what was necessary. The refrigerator leaked for 3 days (and a lot of paper towels). Property manager was responsive to our phone calls and after 2 repairmen the problem was fixed on Tuesday. A bad start to what turned out to be a wonderful week.

Terrible and filthy

Do not recommend this place to anyone. Shells Shells sand and dust all over the floors that we had to vacuum before we could unpack or let the baby down. Ants crawling on the counters and walls because the house wasn’t cleaned (once we cleaned all the counters and wiped down the walls we only saw a few ants here and there after that) Ladies Undergarments under the bed which should have been found when the cleaners cleaned, oh wait they didn’t. Beer cans out on the porch, again should have been found during cleaning. Bathrooms reeked of urine and I had to go buy cleaning supplies to deep clean the bathrooms Mold in the showers- had to go back out and get more cleaning supplies to take care of. Vent fans in the bathroom caked with layers of dust - maybe this is why there was black mold growing. Fridge leaking water all over the floor making it a slippery trap- we had to check out before 8:30 the day of check out so they could deliver a new one (kuddos to them replacing it- and would have minded having to leave early if we hadnt deal with all the above) Don’t count on the free parking unless you have a tiny car …. Most SUV/Vans won’t fit under the parking provided and good luck trying to unload or find parking nearby! The keys they gave us didn’t match and only one set worked for the door. Definitely not recommended and the check In process with Vacasa is a joke! Plan to wait in the parking lot in a long line for at least an hour - all the renters get there right at 4 because that’s the only time to check in and they do not have sufficient parking or space for that many people to wait in line.

Best OC trip yet!

Loved the house and the location! This property and its super close beachfront access made this the best beach vacation! The house is lovely, very much like the photos (some furniture changed between our visit and the listing photos, but not to any great degree). We were an extended family, 4 adults and a toddler. Rooms and bathrooms enough that we all had our own space if we needed it. LOVED that beachfront porch...watched the waves, saw pods of dolphins cavorting in the water, listened to the roar of the ocean...perfection. The location is just *chef's kiss*...it doesn't get any better! The beach was lovely and uncrowded, the families/beach goers were polite and respectful of other people and their space. The parking under the house is a bit tight, but we were able to fit in a Subaru SUV and a Suburban! There is also tons of free street parking near the house. We did run into some problems during our stay, but the management company took care of it quickly. Sheets and towels were included in our stay....we did bring our own sheets but having all the extra towels made a huge difference in our stay! The starter kit from the management company was also a nice surprise. Picking/dropping off the keys could be easier...maybe consider a keyless entry system? Overall GREAT vacation, LOVED the house and the location, and will be back hopefully next year!

Nice condo with great beach location - balcony overlooking the beach was wonderful - but the management company`s service - for an $800/week mandatory service fee - was nonexistent. The place was clean and well looked-after; kitchen has everything you need; check-in was smooth; but we expected better service from the management company given the fee and the per-night cost, and think that a unit a this price-point should come with basic beach equipment such as an umbrella and folding chairs. The locks on the french doors leading to the balcony didn`t work properly, so the doors blew open in strong winds; we had to put the shutters down in order to keep them closed when the wind was strong. The drier stopped working on our fifth day - also reported that to the management company, without action. Great location and comfortable, well-appointed unit should come with proper service level from its manager.
