Everyone enjoyed the property and thanks for the quick response to any questions or concerns we had. If we are ever in Fort Wayne again, our group would definitely stay here again.
This property is a gem in Fort Wayne. I cannot think of better accommodations for a family event. Lovely host with exceptional communication throughout the vrbo process. We will be back - thank you!!!!!
Family from 3 states came down to celebrate the memory of a loved one and to attend a service at their church. We enjoyed this unique home … especially in these colds months. Lots of cooking, sitting by the fire, playing games and watching football. Fun place!
Spotless, eclectic, fun, comfortable, great for all ages, entertaining! Allowed our big family to be together! Owners, AMAZING! Helpful & communicative!
There were six of us staying at the house for an event at the Grand Wayne Convention Center and we had a wonderful stay. The house's location is ideal: an easy walk to the convention center, the Botanical Conservatory, Parkview Field, and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. Restaurants were close by as well (we recommend Proximo), and there was a Starbucks one block away! The house is located in the West Central Historic District, a quaint neighborhood of historic homes. The house itself is spacious, with a huge kitchen and many bedrooms and bathrooms. The water pressure was great, and there were bottles of water in every bedroom (nice touch!) The decor is funky with lots of neat and unique works of art everywhere. There is plenty of free parking right by the house too. Sherri, the owner, responded quickly to all questions, and when we had a problem with the heat, the issue was resolved in a few hours. The house is ideal for large groups, and is family friendly--there is room with lots of board games on hand. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and would stay there again without hesitation.
I retired at 43 from owning an antique and classic car museum, gift shop, soda bar and special events venue hosting 125 events a year. It was an exhausting blast of a business. Hospitality is my jam!
Since then I have traveled to Brazil, Mexico, Bahamas, Hawaii, France, Spain, England, Cuba and DR Congo where I helped to build a school in a rural area. I have many destinations on my wish list and hope to continue to travel till I'm a hundred! My partner Rand has joined me in making this space welcoming for all. He brings 40+ years restaurant management experience and is thrilled to be hosting instead of clocking 25,000. steps a day on his tired feet!
I love being a host (I have the greatest, most interesting and respectful guests you could ever wish for. I have a five star rating on Airbnb and I am Excited to start hosting on VRBO
I also love staying in homes when I travel. I treat any home better than my own and truly appreciate a hosts generosity in sharing their space:-)
