This cabin was perfect!!!! They had the pots, pans, spices, toilet paper, paper towels, etc., all the things you usually have to furnish yourself. Ideal place for a romantic getaway!! Hope to visit again!!
Maria was a pleasure to work with. The cabin is everything you could want for a great vacation. Loved the mountain decor. Saw a group of four deer on property several times.
Somehow I made an assumption the cabin was a bit more remote or didn’t have neighbors close by, but that was not the case. We made a full Thanksgiving meal and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved hanging out by the firepit and playing cornhole. The holiday decorations were a nice added touch. We spotted a few deer during our stay which was lovely.
My wife and I took a mini-vacation and stayed in Woods Upon A Time. This was one of the most relaxing cabins we’ve ever stayed in. The cabin was super clean, well-appointed and in a great location! We will definitely be staying here again soon!

The home was perfect for my husband and I to get away and see the fall colors! The house was well stocked and decorated very well!! Caught a bass in the pond too!!! Will be back!!
The cabin is super clean, lovingly decorated and is even better than the way it appears in the photos! Maria is a great host and answered any inquiries we had so quickly! We had a relaxing place to rest in between our days exploring Murphy and the John C. Campbell Folk School Festival.
This cabin was exactly what we needed ! Breathtaking porch views, cozy fire pit and view of the pond from our porch. It was exactly what we needed! I very much hope to return again, it was heaven on earth.
Wonderful and quaint little place! Was nice to come and fish for three days— caught a lot of bass and bream. We ended up just staying at the property and enjoying the time relaxing. Thank you for sharing this little nugget with us!

It was a beautiful cabin, very clean and decorated with fall touches that enhanced our trip to the mountains to look at the fall leaves. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit perched on the hill overlooking the beautiful scenery. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and we really loved the big front porch and spent a lot of our time out there just enjoying nature. We loved it!

Thank you Kathy! Our favorite time also is on the front porch overlooking the pond and fire pit. So glad you had a nice time!
The property was very clean when we arrived. The beds are super comfortable, and the location is quiet, quaint, and very convenient to both Blairsville and Murphy. The furnishings are tasteful comfortable, and the decor is beautiful. Communication with the owners was easy and they were quick to respond. We were able to catch fish in the private pond and had a wonderful week at the property.

We four adult siblings (3 sisters and 1 brother) from piedmont NC were having a mini-reunion with our aunt and cousins from the Atlanta area. Murphy is our hometown and we were glad to find this little gem of a cabin. Hope to return again someday. The cabin is great!

Our stay was PHENOMENAL! Our drive from the coast to the mountains was a great sight to see. The property was in a great location to shopping and eating. The Christmas decorations and mountain themed antler tissue holders were a cute touch! We appreciated the proximity to the pond and were able to capture some really nice family photos. ❤️ The area was very quiet and tranquil. We loved making family memories here.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! We spent more time around the pond than we did in the cabin and can confirm it has lots of fish! Love the mountain decor of the cabin! The front porch is awesome with the seating and swing! The owner was great to work with and responded quickly to questions! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Thank you so much Heidi! Appreciate your kind words and so glad you had a nice time!
The cabin is easy to find, closer to neighbors than expected, but it was a quiet stay. There were a lot of leaves on the back porch and steps that we had to sweep off, recent rains had made it slippery. The cabin was clean, and well appointed. Mattress in the master is quite firm, but the twin mattress in the other room is very comfortable. TV and internet worked great. Loved the seating area on the front porch, and the swing was really relaxing.
This property is beautiful and comes as advertised. We can't say enough about the beauty of this cabin and surrounding area...so serene with all the comforts of home.Owners were so helpful and informative, providing us with all the information we could possibly need to make our stay enjoyable. Check in was simple and seamless. Thank you so much for allowing our family to stay in your beautiful cabin and for making our stay a memorable one. We hope to return in the near future.

We know how important it is to arrive at a new place and feel "ahh", so we go above and beyond what's expected to give you the 5-star service you deserve. You'll have a fully stocked kitchen, a guest book & guide, toiletries, comfortable furnishings and professional cleaning. We keep your well being and safety in focus so you can simply enjoy your time adventuring, or sit on the front porch swing, listen to the birds and wildlife, while enjoying views of our beautiful fishing pond across the way.
OUR STORY Originally from Michigan and Maryland, but raising a family in beautiful Tampa Bay, Florida, we appreciate the mountains and the fresh air very much, and started vacationing in Murphy in 2007 after we won a bid for a family cabin rental during a live auction at our church. Our kids were little and we said, “why not?” We also said, “where is Murphy, North Carolina?” LOL
Well, during many subsequent summers, and numerous fall trips, we came back to that cabin and other cabins in the area, with not only our children, but also with extended family, friends, and alone as a couple. We basically fell in love with Murphy and made it our goal to eventually own a home here. THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO!! During the shutdown of 2020 we bought the cabin as a 2nd home and family getaway. But a major career change for Dave later that year brought vacation time adjustments, so rather than have the cabin sit empty for most of the year, we decided to open up and share with other couples and families like yourselves to build your own memories. You'll feel right at home in this impeccably clean and well stocked cabin.
Why they chose this property
We have come to ❤ this Appalachian town. Not only is it the county seat of Cherokee County, Murphy is known for its lovely flower-lined downtown, with a nature Riverwalk and lots of cute shops, eateries, art gallery and more (even a high end car driving experience), but also for it's central location to day trip to tri-state area. Plus...two rivers run through the town, the Nottley River and the Hiawassee River, pretty cool.
In 2020 during the pandemic, we said, 'that's it!' we're buying a getaway cabin! So we traveled up from Tampa Bay several times and found our super-cute place. Its took more than 4 months and so much hard work to transform into the amazing cabin that you see today. We had our own family in mind as we decorated, every piece holds a story. We hope you love as much as we do. Maria & Dave
What makes this property unique
From the flooring and the tongue-and-groove ceilings that Dave cut and installed himself to the gorgeous stacked stone fireplace that he placed with his own hands, to the 8-foot barn door separating the main living area from the bedrooms. A lot of labor and love has gone into this beautiful cabin to make it warm and inviting to give you the coziest feelings of home...in fact, Dave did all of the remodeling, has put his heart into making it the best it could possibly be for our family, and yours as well.
