Welcome to Sandy Point!

Come enjoy a relaxing getaway! Coffee in the morning while enjoying the view of the lake and end the evening with dinner on the grill and relaxing around the campfire!

1 bedroom 1 bath cabin w/ additional sleeping in the bunk house (1 Queen & a Twin) & an extra pullout couch if needed in the cabin, located on beautiful Straight Lake just North of Osage MN.

A nice private lot with sandy swimming area and a sandbar directly in front.

The property has its own private access right on the lot that will accommodate small to medium size boats, and is an excellent winter access point for ice fishing or snowmobiling.

There are multiple species of fish in Straight Lake including Trout and your occasional record book Muskie. I have seen many Walleye caught right in front of our lot. The kids enjoy fishing right off the dock.

The paddle board and paddle boat are for you to use and come with the rental. The pontoon is available to rent.

There is a large yard for games and kids to run around. Take your 4 wheelers on the local trails and swing by OBT for some lunch and a cold one!

Park Rapids, just 10 miles away, has one of the best Main Streets! Tons of cute, fun shops and a few yummy food options too! Good Life is one of our favorite as well as a good Royal burger from the Royal Bar. There is a movie theater on Main Street as well. Thursday nights they have live bands - they block off part of the street. This has been a hit since it started!

Awesome all around!!

The cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed! The yard is amazing, the sandy beach and swimming area were perfect!! Having the pontoon right there, available to rent, was a huge advantage this property has over most others out there! The kayaks and paddle boat were also a big hit! Josh and Tawni were amazing hosts as well! Very accommodating and super quick to respond to questions! You will not regret staying here! We can’t wait to stay again!!

This was a wonderful retreat and quiet place to relax.

This little cabin is a fantastic location. The view was beautiful, the lake was wonderful. It was quiet and peaceful. If you want to read a lot of good books, re-connect with your children and relax then this is the place to go. The cabin was clean, updated and had everything we needed. The bunk house was perfect for our two teenage boys to sleep in.

Perfect family weekend

The cabin at Sandy Point was perfect for our family of five. We enjoyed the beach, hours of fishing, a day on the pontoon and time in Park Rapids. The owners were super helpful and the place was very clean and well-stocked!

Fun stay!

The grounds of this property are awesome. Big yard, nice area for fire pit, great sandy beach and shallow water that extends far from shore, lots of privacy. The kids loved running around and did lots of swimming. The cabin was clean and cute. Bunkhouse is a nice option for additional beds/space. We loved hearing/watching the loons and the bald eagles that are always around. Great week!

Great Setting

We had a relaxing stay and loved the setting. If you have little kids, the setting is really ideal: shallow water, sandy bottom, and not many weeds for at least the first 50 feet out from the beach. The water was also very clear and we caught many fish right off the dock (bass, crappie, perch, sunfish). The biggest perk for us was the ability to rent the pontoon at the property, which we also enjoyed. The cabin itself is not large but we were comfortable with 4 people and did not use the bunkhouse. Overall, the setting is very private because it is located on a point and the neighboring cabins are not close/visible.

Sandy Point review

Cabin has everything you need, clean and up to date! Beach is amazing to hang out and not have to worry about little ones since it is gradual and sandy. Fishing off the dock yielded some nice fish (we catch and release) but were big enough to eat. Owners were in contact to make sure everything was going well and to see if we needed anything. We will stay again!

Great Getaway—-beautiful beach/sandbar

We had an excellent stay here—the worst part was that we couldn’t stay longer! The property is absolutely gorgeous. The beach area is amazing and perfect for all of us! Our granddaughter LOVED it, along with the teenagers. The fire pit was perfect at night, and the grill is wonderful. We had an excellent time and plan to be back when we can enjoy it for even longer. It truly is the nicest property on the lake. Tawni and Josh were great to work with and very helpful and communicative.
