Sound Haven boasts breathtaking views of the Currituck sound, green space, and the Corolla Light nature trail. Enjoy sunset views and your own private pool and hot tub, or utilize the vast amenities offered in the award-winning Corolla Light Resort – oceanfront complex, outdoor & indoor pools, basketball and volleyball, indoor & outdoor tennis courts, outdoor pickleball courts, a newly renovated community recreation center/gym, bike paths and a trolley system with a stop directly in front of the house to take you to the beach (less than a mile away). Each guest must have a wristband to use community amenities. Some amenities (outdoor pools, trolley service) are seasonal - please send an inquiry to confirm which ones are available if renting off-season. Water views are seen from the great room, dining area, gameroom, pool deck, covered 2nd floor deck (with a double swing), upper decks, and in 4 out of 5 bedrooms. Kayaking, crabbing, jet skiing, paddle boarding and parasailing are just a short walk away. The beautiful Historic Corolla Park is one mile away and offers wide green spaces, beautiful sunset views along the sound and features three unique attractions – Whalehead, a 1920’s era architectural masterpiece and museum, the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the Center for Wildlife Education. Be sure to take a tour of the 4-wheel drive beach to see gorgeous coastline and wild horses less than 5 miles away!

We love Laura! She’s an excellent host and checked on us throughout our stay. The house is gorgeous and we all had a wonderful time here. We definitely plan on coming back next summer!

Beautiful home and setting, amazing stay

First Laura was very welcoming and accommodating. Made getting there, check in and our stay top notch. The house is clean, spacious, well laid out, decorated, and comfortable. Our crew of teens through toddlers had it all - The pool, hot tub, pool table, games, and more! Beautiful location on the sound and nature trail made it the perfect spot.

Gem of a Rental in Corolla

This is such a lovely home. The inside of the home is out of a magazine. Everything is clean and updated. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The layout is spacious and the majority of the rooms have their own bathrooms. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and serviced. The grounds of the entire community were pristine. The house has a beautiful view of the water from the third floor of the house. Besides all the wonderful amenities that came with this house, the owner Laura is absolutely delightful to communicate with...she will make you feel right at home. This is a house I certainly would rent again.

Reuniting in Corolla

We stayed in Sound Haven the week of Aug. 15, 2021. What a fabulous vacation! There were 9 of us ranging from 10 mos - 71 years YOUNG, and from PA, GA, NC, and AL. Sound Haven was a perfect place to reconnect. The house was beautifully decorated and extremely clean, comfortable with plenty of room for all of us. The young adults loved the beach and the community pool (and poolside restaurant in Corolla Light!) while the very young and older folks enjoyed the pool at the house. The fishermen spent a lot of time fishing from the sound just steps away from the house. The trolley ride to the beach and community pool was a big hit for the 2 year old and very handy for the adults who had to carry their beach "supplies". It was a memorable and wonderful week and I would highly recommend Sound Haven. A big thank you to Laura!

Outstanding Vacation

We had a great time this week in Corolla. Lauren the owner was outstanding communicating with us before we arrived and during our stay. The house was super clean when we arrived. Smelled clean and was clean. The pool and hot-tub were ready to use. The entertainment room (which included a pool table) was a great place to hangout, play music and shoot pool. The trolly came by every 15 minutes to pickup and take us to the beach and the resort center. Everyone at the resort was friendly and helpful. We cant wait to comeback next year.. Great stay... neat location

Beautiful home on a lovely street in a well-maintained community. For many years we have stayed ocean front in South Nags Head, so this was our first time renting sound side, as well as being in Corolla. It turned out to be a super location despite it not being our usual "on the beach" experience. In addition to easy-to-walk-to sound activities, the trolley system makes it really easy to get around the resort and turned out to be a quick way to get to the beach. The home was in great shape, beautifully decorated, with lots of windows with nice views of Currituck Sound. A nature path passes right by. In addition to the home's pool (which our grandkids loved), there's also a larger sound side community pool just seven houses away (that tends to be uncrowded). We also like the history that comes with the Corolla area. Last, but not least, we had great communication with the owners and enjoyed the relationship we had with them.
