It was a great location for proximity to gatlinburg and not far from pigeon forge. Very close to the arts and crafts loop. The house suited all our needs.

Wonderful!
Great stay here close to Gatlinburg, the whole family enjoyed it!
This cabin was perfect for our short getaway. It’s relatively close to everything in and around town which made travel a breeze. Nice amenities and clean. Would definitely consider staying there again.
The property was very clean and well supplied. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Karen, the manager, was available when I called and very helpful in answering my questions. Overall, it is a great place to stay when visiting Gatlinburg.
Great cute and cozy cabin. Everything was perfect and easy to check in. House was spacious and well taken care of. Hot tub was an added bonus. Master bathroom also had a big jacuzzi tub. Quick and easy commute to all attractions.
Convenient to everything! But off the terrible Gatlinburg tourist trap, grocery store very close. Dog park a 4 minute drive. Not much place to walk dog in cabin neighborhood. Clean, queen beds comfy, hot tub
Clean, Quiet, In the Woods But Close to Gatlinburg
Our cabin was clean and had everything that we needed. Kitchen well stocked, easy-to-use fireplace. It was just a few minutes to get into Gatlinburg. Our only issue was the two sets of stairs, one inside, one out. The balcony on the second floor was a nice place to sit, but it would be nice to have a couple of small chairs out front as well. Thanks for a nice visit!

Very clean and great location
This cabin was very clean and it is located just off of the artist loop close to everything. I would say this is a 5 star cabin for most age groups. Great Wifi, nice TV, good HVAC. Only drawbacks are focused on older occupants, which I am. There are no chairs in the bedrooms and the beds are very high. The stairs to the upstairs kitchen and living room are quite steep and shallow, not the best for old folks. One of the bedrooms has no hanging space and the other has no dresser. King beds pretty much fill the small bedrooms. The bathrooms are fine for all ages although the sink was something you would find in a small RV. The management was great, and the furniture was in great shape and comfortable. There is a vintage game console table with many of the old classics. Parking was fine for two vehicles.

Thank you so much for your review, Dave. I'm happy to hear that you were happy with the cleanliness of the cabin and the amenities. We are looking to rearrange and possibly switch up some of the furniture in the bedrooms so that it can accommodate everyone of all ages and abilities. Thank you for staying with us and I hope to host you again, whether it's at this cabin or one of our other ones!
Update 1/25/22: We have added a small rack in the bedroom, a bench in the larger bedroom, recessed lighting in both bedrooms and over the shower, and replaced the box springs with bunkie boards to lower the height of the beds. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the grade of the stairs but I will be getting a photo of the stairs taken and uploaded once they are redone.
The house was super clean and in a perfect location. Very close to restaurants, grocery and entrance to the National Park. Very comfy beds. The hot tub was perfect for the cold nights (and we appreciate that they change the water between guests).
Just a few "head's up". I didn't deduct any stars but I think it's fair to bring up in case these may be deal breakers for others:
* There are several stairs to get to the entrance of the house, then another set of steep stairs to get up to the main living area of kitchen/living room. This wasn't an issue for us but if we were bringing any older family members, this would have been an issue.
* The bedrooms are on the lower level. If anyone is on the upper level, you can hear EVERY footstep in the bedrooms. This was an issue as my husband is a very early riser and caused the rest of the house to be as well.
* You cannot access the yard without climbing over an approx 2.5 ft retaining wall, and I'm not sure they intend for you to do that. So if you brought your dog(s), you'll have to walk down the street to a small patch of grass located by the dumpster. There is a dog park approx 2 miles from the house that was very convenient.
Like all reviews, there are good and bad points to the story, so I'll try to cover both. First, the owner or manager was very responsive to text. Although our problem wasn't solved, she did try. The problem was related to the TV so it really wasn't a big deal to us. We could not figuure out how to get live TV/cable channels. The upstairs TV could get Netflix and Hulu. The downstairs wouldn't get anything at first. My husband set up the wifi connection and we had to use our personal Amazon login to watch anything. Not really a big deal since we watched mostly at night, but it's information you should know.
The location has a Gatlinburg address, but time-wise, it was really in the middle of Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge so that was a plus.
The house has an unique design that I've never seen before. (2 bed/baths on the bottom when walk in the door & kitchen/living room upstairs) I think it would be best suited to young familys with no children or children that are young but old enough to respect stairs. The stairs were a con for me because I have a defective foot, but if you don't have a problem with stairs it should be fine for you.
The only other serious bad point is the shower in one of the bedrooms. I think it would have been better to skip the garden tub and make the shower bigger. There is barely room to stand. It would be interesting to me to take a poll and see who actually uses garden tubs on vacation. Especially when there is a hot tub outside, I think it would be a waste of money. But that's just my opinion. I ended up sharing the shower in the other bedroom with our daughters. A larger mirror & sink with a counter top would have been better in the bathroom, but we made do with it.
The cabin was well stocked with supplies: dishwasher cubes, soap, laundry soap, and even shampoo/condition & body wash in the shower dispensers. They won't be your favorite brands, but we used some of them anyway.
Two things on the kitchens. For the life of me, I could not find any potholders and had to use the dishtowels when we used the oven. I did not like the coffeemaker. The basket for the grounds was very difficult to remove and put back on, and I think the burner isn't hot enough. I always had to heat mine in the microvave after pouring it in the cup.
Generally, the cabin was neat and organized but it was due for a good spring cleaning. Mostly dust on the walls & steps to the hot tub.

Hi Cindy, thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the inconvenience of the TVs. I admit that the TV in the bedroom was not thoroughly checked to make sure the appropriate apps were installed or logged in. That will be corrected for future guests.
Can't say enough! Owner was super responsive to questions. Cabin was only 15 min from Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge! Less than 10 minutes from Grocery stores!
Instacart delivers in case you just don't want to shop.
Easily slept all 5 of us. Instructions on any appliances that weren't super intuitive.
The fireplace made quick work of chasing off any morning chill upstairs.
I'm already trying to convince my kids we need to come back!
The house was in a quiet neighborhood. When you walk in there are rooms to the left and right and stairs in front. The kitchen and living room are upstairs. The kitchen did not have a lot of extras. Bring a corkscrew and coffee filers. The bed was really comfy but first night was cold I did find a blanket in a drawer which really helped. Overall a nice place. Not a lot of parking if you have more than one car.

Perfect secluded cabin for a weekend getaway!
My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the moonshine ridge property! The cabin was super cute and clean and was exactly as pictured. Karen was extremely responsive and available to answer any of our questions or help us within minutes. The neighborhood was very quiet and secluded which was exactly what we wanted for a weekend getaway! And even better that I was able to being my pup along for the trip. Would definitely stay here again in the future! Thanks for a great weekend, Karen!

Perfect Location
We had the best time in Gatlinburg. Moonshine Ridge is in the perfect location. It was close to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, yet you felt like you were in the country. There was plenty of space for all of us and having 2 showers was nice after coming back from hiking, zip lining, or white water rafting in the July heat. The absolute best part was we could bring our yorkiepoo with us. We will definitely be booking Moonshine Ridge again.

Stay in Gatlinburg, TN
The cabin in reality looked just like the website but the front door should be replaced. I shouldn't have to push the door hard just ro be able to lock it. Also, the coffee pot was nasty. We had a great stay though! The neighborhood was quiet and just as described. I intend to book again

Beautiful cozy cabin style home in a wonderful location!
Moonshine ridge was even more than I expected, it was so cute and had all the commodities of being at home! Just 10 minutes from Gatlinburg and less than 20 minutes to Smoky Mountain NP, it was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. We got to enjoy a soak the hot tub at night, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, even my dog felt at home!
We certainly enjoyed our stay and would return. There needs to be a photo of the entrance stairs to the top floor. Very steep and not appropriate for non-stairclimbers. Wish we had seen a photo. Parking became a problem and difficult to find other parking in the area. A bit of a danger in the kitchen when the heavy curtain rod fell from their connector. Karen was very helpful on issues and we enjoyed the vrbo and the community.
To high a price for this cabin. It was dirty and smell. The cabin looks like it need alot of repair.
Not clean, will not stay here again.

Shiela, I’m sorry that the cabin was not cleaned to your standards. However, it is written in my guidebook that any issues with the cabin be reported within 24 hours of check in. You arrived in the very early evening and promptly notified me that the lights in one of the bedrooms were not working. I sent someone out and they were there within an hour or two. You reported no other issues the night you checked in and you had plenty of time to do so the first night. The next morning, I texted to follow up on the light issue and that’s when you said the cleaning was not up to par. I offered to send my cleaning crew back out but you said you took care of it. I was also not aware of the issue that you had with the hot tub. I would have sent out my cleaners to dump the water and refill it so that you and your group could use it. You provided no photos of the uncleanliness of the cabin and did not inform me until I followed up about an issue that I went ahead and resolved right away for you. You did not give me a chance to correct those cleanliness issues.
While I am not trying to make excuses for my cleaning crew, your stay was right after Christmas. Throughout the entire county, many cabins were left in horrific conditions. As a result, the cleaning at this cabin suffered due to the lack of time the crew had to give it the attention it usually receives. I also refunded you almost half of the cleaning fee because I was truly embarrassed that that was the state the cabin was reported to be in. I have removed all of the throw rugs in the cabin so that the floors will be cleaned more thoroughly. On top of that, you and your group checked out about half an hour late.
Cozy little place, nice amenities, off the beaten path, but close enough to be everywhere with a little bit of a trip.
