Whether a gourmet cook, bed snob (your host is ☺️), outdoor enthusiast, or simply looking for a home-away-from-home, Uptown Modern will succumb to your every whim. Guests who place importance on sustainability and a non-toxic environment (cleaning practices and laundering), Uptown Modern will exceed your expectations!
LOCATION: Geographically situated to avoid summer traffic, providing quick access to the top 5 destinations in Coeur d’Alene: • Silverwood (15 miles ~ 25 minutes) • Lake Coeur d’Alene, Downtown Coeur d’Alene, Tubb’s Hill, Coeur d’Alene Resort (3.7 miles ~ 5-10 minutes) • Ski Resorts- Silver Mountain, Schweitzer, and Lookout Pass (45 minutes away) • Centennial Trail (access via paved path, one block from the home) • The Festival at Sandpoint, is a weeklong event, featuring musical performances in the park, allowing attendees to sit beneath the stars on picnic blankets while enjoying food and libations. It is likely that you will encounter your host on one of the evenings. ☺ • Hot Shotz Tournament, Lake City and Coeur d’Alene High School (<1 mile) The home is ideally located, 3 miles, equidistant between Downtown Coeur d’Alene and Hayden, offering two beautiful lakes for enjoyment. Five other lakes — Avondale, Fernan, Alpine, Twin, and Pend Oreille — are less than an hour’s drive to the waterfront. Huckleberry picking is only 45 minutes away!
Nestled in a quiet, safe cul-de-sac, just a short walk to parks, bike paths, multiple schools, and grocery stores. Our backyard neighbor is an elementary school, offering endless unobstructed views. We enjoy not having full-time backyard neighbors; however, it is worth noting that you will hear children playing during the school year (a small price to pay for quiet evenings, weekends, and summers).
SLEEPING: Each bedroom was furnished with opulence, thoughtfully designed with Goldilocks in mind: premium mattresses, 650-thread-count 100% cotton sheets, and four pillows per bed (two soft and two firm). Each room is equipped with a Smart LED television (40-50 inches), complemented by curtains and blinds, which are ideal for facilitating siestas ☺. • Master Suite – King Tempur-Pedic Breeze, medium • Paris Room – King Puffy Deluxe, medium soft • Tropical Room –Queen Tempur-Pedic – Rhapsody, Firm The Family Room is intended for additional sleeping arrangements, featuring a spacious sectional sofa capable of accommodating four adults, as well as a Queen-sized memory foam pull-out sofa. Additionally, there are three queen 18-inch self-inflating air mattresses, each provided with its own bedding bag containing two pillows, a fitted sheet, and a cozy blanket. A pack 'n play is available for the little ones.
KITCHEN: Equipped for a gourmet chef with every kitchen appliance and spice imaginable • 12-piece cookware • Stoneware place settings for 20+ • Eat-in kitchen, w/ 4 barstools and a massive kitchen table (seats 10-14 comfortably)
OUTDOOR SPACE/BACKYARD: Please be advised that patio items are available for our guests from spring through fall. Due to safety considerations associated with falling icicles and adverse weather conditions, these items are stored from November through March. • Spacious patio area, furnished with a table accommodating six guests and complemented by a large umbrella. • Two high-backed lounge chairs. • Dual gas and briquette grill • Fenced backyard • Raised garden beds (as your host is an avid gardener during the summer months) • Fire pit accompanied by handcrafted benches accommodating up to 15 individuals, complemented by a complimentary bundle of firewood. • Outdoor Games (life-sized Yahtzee, Cornhole, Jenga, and Kan Jam)
ADDITIONAL ITEMS: • Coolers designated for use on the beach or back patio, including a soft-sided cooler and a small hard-sided cooler. • A foldable high-chair that secures to our dining chairs, accompanied by child plates, bowls, and cutlery. Upon request: • Collapsible wagon, low-back chairs suitable for outdoor concerts in the park, and picnic blankets. • Six-foot and two three-foot foldable tables. **Should you have any additional requests, we likely have access to the resources you may require. Please do not hesitate to ask!
PETS: Require prior approval, contingent upon guest reviews, and considering factors such as age, sex, weight, altered status, and breed. Guests must sign the Pet Addendum acknowledging the pet regulations, submit a vaccination record, and provide records of flea and tick prevention upon booking confirmation. Reservations that include approved pets will be subject to a $100 pet cleaning fee. The pet rent is set at a rate of $25 per pet, per night, payable fourteen days in advance of arrival. For reservations exceeding five nights, pet rent applies solely during the first five nights. Only canines are permitted; if a canine does not meet the specified criteria, it will be subject to a Pet Security Hold.
HOT TUB: Accessible to guests from October through May, contingent upon the length of stay, the number of guests, and guest reviews. All guests are required to sign a Hot Tub Agreement, which acknowledges the rules for use and applicable fees.
Guests aged between 21 and 24 are required to have prior stays with positive reviews to be considered.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. It had everything we could possibly need from a hottub, to a fire pit, to a large family room with plenty of beds. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in CDA!

20 of us stayed at this home for a joint bachelor and bachelorette weekend. It was a great size with everything well stocked. The host was great with communication and we had a wonderful time! The home is very clean. It is in a neighborhood/cul de sac, but we had no issues with music, grilling and hanging out at the house.
This was a wonderful property for our group to relax and recoup in after exploring Coeur d'Alene and our adventures into Spokane. The place was more than adequate to accommodate our group of 10. It is in a great location. Thanks again hosts!!

Born in beautiful Bellingham, Washington, I spent my summers commercial fishing in breathtaking Alaska, and after years of rain, we came to call Coeur d'Alene, Idaho home. I have over twenty years in the area and know all the most incredible spots (I have a few of these delights in your 'guidebook' you will receive upon booking) in the area! After many years of traveling from Coeur d'Alene and staying in many vacation rentals while traveling, I decided to open my home to travelers - such as yourselves. I am likely off in the Baja, diving caves in the Yucatan, or even squandering grapes under the Tuscan sun. I hope you enjoy my little oasis in gorgeous Coeur d'Alene while I am gallivanting in other areas.
