The property is beautiful. It is very spacious and is loaded with all you need. We also enjoyed the fruit trees surrounding the property. June was very attentive to our needs and tried her best to assist us. The only drawback was we were disappointed that the sauna didn't work and the pool was a bit dirty but it didn't stop the kiddos. We would definitely return. The view is amazing as is the location. Wonderful time with family.

Thank you for choosing to stay at our property. You were very considerate, easy to communicate with, and it was truly a pleasure hosting you. You are wonderful guests, and we sincerely look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Regarding the issue you mentioned, the recent heavy rains on the Big Island did affect the pool. We truly appreciate your understanding, and we will continue to improve to ensure an even better experience next time.
Mahalo,
Destiny is a fantastic guest! She communicated promptly, kept the place very clean, and followed all house rules. She was quiet and respectful. Highly recommended, and we welcome her back anytime!

We were looking for a nice home off the beaten path, this was it. Quiet and away from town, but minutes from anything we needed, from groceries to golf, to waterfalls and beach time. Nice home, great pool, good host.
Loved the house! Had everything we needed. Location was excellent. Being on the coast and slightly elevated led to a nice, cool breeze. The furnishings and appliances were top notch. Close to Hilo, but very private. Definitely recommend!
Very comfortable for our two families. The kitchen and great room was very spacious. We had our dinners on the outdoor dining table and enjoyed the beautiful weather & surroundings. Thank you Kurtis for an enjoyable stay!

Spacious, quiet home overlooking the city of Hilo.
This property was spacious and nice for our large family. It was a great bad base for spending the day sight seeing. The air conditioning in the bedrooms made it great for sleeping. However The lack of central air and beautiful but uncomfortable furniture made the common rooms uncomfortable to use. The pool is unsuitable for anyone with little kids as the hot tub is an empty deep hole and the pool has no handrails. Great property and space but could definitely use some updating to be a 5 star property.
The property home is large and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked.
Hilo is very rainy during our visit but home was very comfortable and children loved the pool. Lots of floatables behind the home.
The grounds needs a little TLC. View is hard to see as neighbors across from property...have trees which obstucts most of the view. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
We'd like to send a huge Aloha and Mahalo to this vrbo host. My family had an amazing time. We left for an hour to sight see but this home was a beauty all its own. As magnificent as it is there was also a family feel to it. Our children enjoyed themselves. From the pool to the sauna, and the hygiene and amenities provided we had everything we needed. Plenty of space, wonderful neighborhood and beautiful views. This is the best rental we have ever had. Overall just a wonderful time, we cannot say it enough!Thank you for having us ! Ahui hou and malama pono.
This property was totally beautiful, clean and well equipped. I only wished I had discovered the sauna before the last night!
It was disappointing that the hot tub was not functional and the pool had a hose on the bottom of it that was a bit suspect.
If you don't like the sounds of nature, this is not the VRBO for you but we thoroughly enjoyed the sounds and fresh fruits on the premises.
Driving directions to the home were very well done!
The house is great, spacious, and in a good location. There are a lot of things to like, yet a lot of little things that I can't figure out why the host doesn't deal with better. The dishwasher was pretty busted, the hot tub is left in disrepair, most windows in the master bedroom don't work properly, the kitchen stove top has several burners that don't work properly, there's a sauna that doesn't work, the master bathroom shower is huge with like six shower heads, but the temperature controls don't work. The kitchen could be better equipped too. The host wasn't very helpful either. Those are a lot of little complaints, as I said initially, the place is nice and it was worth to stay there. I just wish the host put a little bit of care to deal with these small problems.
tried to contact you before leaving the review but 2 weeks in and didn't hear back.
We did like the location , view and amount of bedrooms. the pool was great but every time anyone got out of the pool even just after 10 min their feet and some days body if they swam to the bottom or leaned against the sides.. would be blue from the paint in the pool. we did look it up and seems the ph might be off. this was concerning. I spent a good 30 plus min cleaning out the washing machine it was so filthy moldy and slime inside of it and with a baby I ended up wiping the floors up often and they had not been cleaned. the property is lovely the fruit trees are a huge added bonus and we loved the privacy . the front area between the pool and house was rather dirty as well I spent one afternoon just trying to sweep it up. the bedding was clean as was the sinks and bathrooms. the cook top only one burner worked really well the others had been hard to start. appreciated that we only saw ants seems the other bugs are kept under control and we loved the friendly geckos in the house. seems a bit rundown but great private space . We had been mostly disappointed with the paint on the kids daily just doesn't seem good absorbing paint ."

Beautiful Historic feel home!
Overall this house was beautiful! Little eerie at first with such a historical look but that’s because we checked in at night! Just a couple hours after settling in, it felt more comfortable and we slept great. Great area, close enough to everything but far enough for a sense of serene. We loved it! Waking up and looking out the windows was just breath taking! We even seen wild pigs outside!
Few down falls, maps could not find the home so we needed verbal instructions from property manager. The listing was clear that the hot tub does not work but to have just stagnant green water in it was a little eye sore and gross. I’d rather had seen it empty. Omg the kitchen! I would love to have one just like it, minus the roaches. There was a lot of roaches. So we made sure we cleaned regularly and put away any food or snacks. Lastly the lights off rule, definitely a mood slicer. They request the outside lights be off by 9pm which would be fine if you could see 2 ft in front of you but it is pitch black outside and on the last night we sat out on the lanai with the lights on just to share our experience with each other and have a few laughs and absolutely NO music playing just talking… we get the call with a complaint that “there’s a light rule in the book”. I honestly didn’t think we were being a disturbance. So that was a little sad to end the trip that way.
Overall we loved it in Hilo! Would definitely come back!
We had a great stay here! The house and property are beautiful, and Kurtis was very helpful--including helping us with getting a forgotten item we needed shipped to us during our stay. Some of the reviews mention that the house needs some TLC. There are certainly things you could do/add/improve, but as a home owner you know that will always be the case. It's a beautiful place and we very much enjoyed our stay. Also, it's worth noting that the pool was clean and the kids swam in it daily! (The hot tub does not work.)
We loved picking the fresh fruit on the property! The view was great and we had plenty of room for our family. This is the perfect spot to visit the waterfalls and downtown Hilo. We also appreciated the local recommendations in the welcome folder that the owners provided.
Our family stayed at this property for 9 nights. We are provided the entry instructions that were easy to follow. The house was very spacious. The kitchen was wonderful and very functionable. The pool was nice and the family enjoyed it very much. We wish the hot tub would have been working. The location of the home was very convenient for our visit on the eastern part of the Big Island.
