About this property

Affordable Oceanfront w/ Private Pool!

During Hurricane Florence, our home suffered extensive damage, thus was fully renovated in 2019 - including all new kitchen cabinetry and bathroom vanities with granite tops, new furnishings throughout, custom tiled walk in showers, all new flooring, lighting, etc. We live fairly close by and strive to keep our home impeccably maintained and well stocked.

We are an Oceanfront, 5 bedroom, 4 bath duplex with a private pool. Beds are K,K,Q,Q,D,T. Even though we are a duplex, the pool is exclusively for our side. It is located directly off of the main living area, is fenced in, and is a wonderful extension to the inside living space.

Weekly (Saturday to Saturday) stays only. All bed and bath linens are included with weekly rentals. No Pets and No Smoking Property.

Why they chose this property

We both enjoyed the NC coast and Emerald Isle as children. An opportunity arose when we had 1 young daughter and twins on the way, and we took a leap of faith and jumped at the chance to own a place here. That was 28 years ago and what a blessing this house has been. We look forward to our grandchildren enjoying it one day as much as our girls have.

What makes this property unique

We love waking up to the sound of waves breaking, having a cup of coffee outside on one of the decks, and heading out for a morning walk or bike ride.

One thing that makes this house special is its suitability for all ages, making it a perfect spot for several generations of family. There is both a bedroom and full bath on the first floor, which is perfect for grandparents; and a porch swing with a perfect view to the ocean if they find it difficult going up and down to the beach. Kids of course enjoy the pool (with a chest full of beach and pool toys) and their own space in the loft. If anyone needs some quiet time, the other 4 bedrooms are spacious and quiet. The second floor deck has 4 new rockers, providing a nice place to hide and read a great book.

There are plenty of entertainment options to keep you busy if you choose, but not too many. Some of the things we most enjoy doing are: obviously enjoying the beach and pool, playing tennis at the town park, visiting historic Swansboro for lunch and shopping one day, going to a movie at Emerald Plantation, and of course biking.

Emerald Isle has completed bike paths that run the entire length of Emerald Drive, as well as the entire length of Coast Guard Road, which is down to "the point". We always use Beach Wheels Bike Rentals at 252-240 BIKE (2453). They deliver bikes of all shapes and sizes straight to the house and pick them up when you are done. You can rent daily, for 3 days, or for the week.
