The property is large and comfortable but photos of the property are misleading. Air con units are installed as seen, but they don’t work (despite controls being there). Drawers were taken out of the bathroom unit (as they didn’t fit) and the garden isn’t private and is open to the road. The facilities are basic but functional. There is a picnic table but no chairs outside and a fallen telegraph pole is unsightly and looked unsafe. There was minimal kitchen utensils, just a mix of cutlery, but a good and clean oven, washing machine and dryer. Doors and shutters are difficult to lock, but the area felt very safe fortunately. We enjoyed our stay but it lacked comfort.

We had two major problems with our stay: we could not get the Air Conditioning to work at all (there was a heat wave) and, most importantly, the front door did not lock.We tried to contact the owner through several channels (calls, email, SMS) more than once, and we never got a reply. We resorted to taking our valuables (such as cables or the few screens we had) with us every day and blocking the door with a chair during the night.Luckily, this was mostly a precaution as it was the summer break and there were no workers or visitors in the attached vineyard. But if this had happened during the busy season, we would not have felt safe leaving our belongings there all day long or sleeping through the night with an unlocked door.It was also very unprofessional that we could not manage to get in touch with the owner the entire week that we spent there.
