Spacious Capitola Home, Inviting LARGE backyard, BBQ and minutes to the BEACH!

Welcome to the Wharf House, our home away from home, close to everything Capitola and Santa Cruz has to offer! You want to feel relaxed while on vacation and we have made an effort to make our home feel like a cozy and comfortable beach retreat!

We are a 30 day vacation rental. However, we are open to adjusting length of stay. Depending on length of stay, additional fees may apply. Contact us if interested!

The Space:
Our vaulted ceilings and open floor plan allow for plenty of room to stretch out. Recently updated back deck has become the most inviting spot to have meals, sip coffee or soak in the sunshine! A large BBQ situated by the outdoor dining table makes cooking up those yummy meals a breeze! As for the cooler evenings or foggy mornings, just flip on the gas fireplace and get cozy.

Location:
Amazing location! Shadowbrook restaurant is literally across the street! This is a staple restaurant of Capitola, founded in 1924 and known for its 'romance in dining'. If you're new to the area, this is an experience you must do! From happy hour to fine dining, it's a treat to be able to start or end your evening at this place.

We are situated just above the Capitola wharf for an easy downhill stroll to the heart of Capitola Village! Explore the unique boutiques, cafes, wine bars, water front dining or grab food to go (Pizza My Heart) as you head for a day at the beach!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please start at least one load of laundry before departing. We’d appreciate a note of any lost or damaged items. Please make sure furnace is turned off. All dirty laundry placed in laundry room
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please no large gatherings. Seven people is the maximum (not including 0-2 year olds). A few guests (2-3) may come to visit during the day.
The city of Capitola has a 10 pm noise curfew. Please be respectful of our immediate neighbors and bring the noise level down at this time.
Garbage and recycling service is on Friday mornings. Please roll cans out to end of driveway THURSDAY EVENING.

Fantastic stay in capitola

It was a wild winter this year and we are very sad at the loss of the pier. We were happy to have this great home for our stay again this year. Such a fantastic location.

We love this property - everything is perfect. We have family in the area and this is such a friendly place to entertain them. It's obvious the place is loved by the family of owners. The property manager, Rose, answered every question and was always very friendly.

the perfect place to stay, located within a short walk to the village and right across from Shadow Brook Restaurant. We have family in the area. The house is well laid out. Downstairs space is wonderful space for the family to gather. I loved the kitchen which is well stocked with everything needed (I love to cook). the patio is pleasant. the bedrooms are all very generous with ample high quality bedding and comfortable mattresses.

Excellent location; wonderful home

We have lived in this area before and were delighted by the location of the property. It is close to Capitola Beach and town and the newly completed wharf was also a great easy walk. The house itself was immaculate, spacious, open feeling. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The property manager was great and accommodating. We stayed there for about 6 weeks and look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you for creating a great atmosphere for vacation and winding down! Loved it!

We had a wonderful 2 1/2 month stay in this lovely home. As title says we would give 10 stars if available. Furnishings, bedding, linens all top grade. Very comfortable with the feel of family everywhere - loved the pictures Patio perfect for a drink in the late afternoon and the grill is first class. Manager Rose was always available for questions and requests. We loved the location and walked into the village, library and Nob Hill frequently - and we are 85 years old.

Couldn't be better!

This is a lovely home - close to Capitola and the beach but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. It is large with 3 good-sized bedrooms plus two large baths. The kitchen & laundry room are also a normal "home" size as is the living space and backyard. Everything has been perfectly maintained and/or upgraded. You are just blocks away (but well insulated) from all the shopping you will need from Whole Foods to Target. You are also a short walk away from the beach, Cliff Drive, or Capitola town. Rose, the property manager, made everything very easy in terms of welcome and check-in. We had one small question that she answered immediately. I would put this home on the top of your list if you are considering a trip to the Santa Cruz/Capital area. We hope to return soon!

Loved this place.

House was clean, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable, and walking distance to beach and Capitola Village. One improvement that could be made is to have a smart TV. House is on a somewhat busy street, but house was quiet inside with front windows closed and in the backyard.

Awesome home and location

My wife and I loved staying at this wonderful home in Capitola. Only a short walk to the village. A walk we took daily. Close to every convenience. The home has everything you would need. Great layout. Spacious back deck. We will miss the sounds of ocean.
