About this property

The Great Adventure

Whether inside or out, your next "Great Adventure" starts here at our Family-Friendly private mountain home nestled amid the Massanutten Four Season Resort located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Go-karts, miniature golf, skiing, golfing, indoor/outdoor waterpark and hiking are just several adventures only minutes away. If you would like to venture further out, there are caves to explore, vineyards to visit as well as the breathtaking Shenandoah National Park; all of which are less than 25 miles. We also offer access to the Stonewall Terrace pool with our pool pass. There is a small fee of $6 per person, kids 5 and under are free. Be sure to bring cash as they do not accept credit cards.

Our home has lots of space to stretch out with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. This includes a kids' suite with a TV and viewing area along with an activity table and games. There's plenty of sleeping space with a twin/full bunkbed. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and a jetted tub for mom to relax and unwind.

Have fun in our walk out basement which has several windows and plenty of natural light. This is home to the Gameroom with an Olhausen Pool Table, foosball table, PS4 and more. Along with an additional bedroom and full bath, we have a beverage cooler that will keep your drinks at a crisp 34 degrees.

The cozy great room is open to the dining area which comfortably seats 6. There is additional seating for 4 in the breakfast nook of the kitchen. There you will have all you need to prepare your favorite meals or just grab a snack.

The spacious two-car garage is set up to hold all of your gear whether it's for golfing, biking, skiing or hiking. The large back deck holds the grill along with some great seating to watch nature, hang out with the family, or just relax. There's even a swing on the patio, if that is more your style.

We know traveling with kids you have to pack a lot of big extras. That's why we provide for you a Graco pack-n-play that has a bassinet and changing table attachments as well as a high chair for your convenience. We anticipate that you will enjoy our home as much as we do and treat it as you would your own. Also, we hope you will create some wonderful memories that will last for years to come.

So whether your adventure is inside or out, we've got you covered. The Great Adventure awaits.

This property was probably the cleanest and nicest VRBO I have stayed at. The house was much larger than the pictures and had so many little things.....nice towels and linens, toiletries, games, toys, snacks, etc. I would highly recommend this property.

The Great Adventure did not disappoint! We all had a fabulous stay for JMU family weekend. The house had everything we needed to cook and grill both nights, the towels were soft and fluffy and the sheets were super soft. Thanks so much for being a great host! We can't wait to stay again!

Perfect House

We could not have found a better house to spend our long weekend in catching up with old friends. This house is truly the perfect layout for a group, especially those traveling with kids (ours ranged in age from 4 months to 5 years). The location in Massanutten is ideal and allowed for easy access to all the local area has to offer. The house was spotless when we checked in and communication with the host was great. We cannot wait to go back!

Perfect spot for graduation weekend

This house was the perfect size for my family! I also appreciated that there were not a lot of stairs. Many of the houses in Massanutten are not easily accessible for people with limited mobility. This house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main level with only one step up to get into the house. Steve was also a wonderful host. He was very responsive and the house is very well stocked. We will definitely be back!

Family ski trip

This home is amazing. Very clean, with great entertainment available for the family. The kids’ eyes lit up when they saw the kids’ room upstairs and the game room downstairs. Steve is very responsive and easy to work with as well. Very smart way to program the front door lock that’s easy for a renter to remember. You have to rent to find out what it is! Highly recommend this VRBO. Thank you for a phenomenal time!

Home was cozy

Overall our stay was great. It was a quiet neighborhood and many games in the house for kids. I especially loved the kids room and game room. There was plenty of space for us to gather around Christmas. I was a bit taken back that the owner came a few hours before checkout time, without notice, and rang the bell, so the trash could be taken out. Maybe specify in the listing to bring all trash to the end of the driveway before a certain time?

Amazing house!

The house is extremely family friendly! There are numerous games for the whole family to play such as foosball, pool, and monopoly and also have games for little kids such as candy land and chutes and ladders. The kid suite is a perfect place for kids to play, watch tv, and sleep. The house is in great condition, and in a beautiful neighborhood. There is a nearby park as well for kids to play at. If possible, the house was even nicer than the pictures show and was a great place for our family to stay during our vacation to Shenandoah National Park. Steve was great at communicating and checking in with us leading up to our stay and was able to recommend things for our family to do at Massanutten resort. I cannot recommend this property enough and will be sure to stay here again when we come back!

Perfect Getaway
