Mampoo Hill-- a Beachfront House 20 Yards from the Ocean with optional Jeep

Clean, disinfected and 20 yards from the ocean, Mampoo Hill is a very special island beach house. Relax from the decks with the view and sound of the lapping blue water with gently swaying palm trees in between. Or snorkel in privacy in the "back yard" ocean. And watch dramatic sunsets from the luxurious spa or lounge chairs on the upper or lower deck as the end of daylight glistens off the trees and Caribbean ocean.

Mampoo Hill (designed by the most famous architect on island who also did the iconic Mongoose Junction) was meticulously designed to take advantage of its fabulous, close up ocean views--from EVERY room. This rare, beautiful, open air island home has a huge air conditioned master bedroom with a double dressing area, king size bed, queen size futon couch, library, ceiling fans, TV and internet connection while the guest bedroom has twin beds (that can be made up as a king), a ceiling fan, AC, remote controlled cable TV and a full bathroom. Both have spectacular beach front views. Enjoy a beautifully renovated kitchen, a gas grill, spa, and al fresco dining. Note: Jeep rental is optional and available directly from the owner. No check-ins on Dec. 25.

40th Anniversary Trip

We loved Mampoo Hill house. The open format of the house and the gorgeous view were amazing! We had everything we needed there. The rocky beach just below the house was beautiful and we snorkeled in the bay just down the beach. Loved it!

Fantastic house. Great view and falling asleep to the ocean waves at night was amazing. Stay on top of the jungle juice or learn the hard way mosquitoes are legitimately coming for you.

We absolutely loved our time at Mampoo Hill. The sunset views were amazing. The house was very clean and well kept. Pictures don't do justice. Jennifer & Craig were great to work with and we really enjoyed seeing all of Candice's art work around the house. We can't wait to return to St Johns and plan on booking this home again when we do.

Dream Family Vacation

My husband and two teenage boys just got back from a week at Mampoo Hill. We had an amazing time staying at this gorgeous and unique house. The pictures don't even do it justice. The views from every part of the house are breathtaking and the house was clean and well stocked. We took advantage of the jeep which made our day trips much easier. Parking around the island was quite an experience but worked out. ;) Candice's artwork added to the overall beauty of the house. What a fantastic place to relax with my family. We hiked, snorkeled and loved the recommended restaurants. We hope to be back someday! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

Amazing Private Paradise by the Caribbean

This beautiful home exceeded our expectations. Awesome open concept home with a private, air conditioned bedroom on both sides of the common areas. Beautiful views and only a few steps from the shore. Clean, well stocked and maintained. 5 stars! Local support staff was awesome and available to address any issues. Highly recommended.

This house was amazing. Anyone looking for a true island experience---this is it. If we were to return to St. John, it would be based on the availability of Mampoo hill. Craig was so nice and helpful. Meeting us at the ferry is a definite plus. Loved it.

Beautiful location, close to town but feels private, amazing management experience

The cottage is right on a private (rocky) beach and you can hear the waves as you go to sleep, and see the sunset from the private deck. The property management went above and beyond to make the arrival/departure seamless (when I was late due to air travel issues, I was delivered the Jeep right to the ferry late at night!). Bring water shoes if you intend to use the beach!

It's all about the AMBIANCE!

Such a beautiful location! You must enjoy being outside because that is what this very comfortable house is all about! From cooking, dinning, stargazing and watching the iguanas! Waking up each morning to see that aqua blue water makes Mampoo Hill the place to stay and return to! Get the Jeep!

St. John Paradise

The property is right on a rocky/shell beach and excellent snorkeling is 200 yards away. The views are world class. The soothing sounds of the Caribbean are ever present. The home is an architectural wonder and blends into the beautiful Mampoo Hill. Depending on your mood, you could spend all your time at the house or drive 10 minutes to enjoy the great restaurants and bars in Cruz Bay. All of the wonderful sights and beaches on St. John are within 20-30 minutes. Great Place!!!

Mampoo Hill in paradise

A clean and well maintained property at a wonderful location was our base for an enjoyable experience in St John. We loved the beach and enjoyed snorkeling. The local manager met us at the ferry and guided us home and familiarized us with the property. He answered questions and gave us advice for the week. All equipment worked and we specially enjoyed the views and the spa. The local pets visited each day and added to our experience. The home was ecologically friendly and just right sized for our group of 5. Everything was close by and beaches a short drive away.
