Welcome to the historic Mama Dear House. This home has undergone a remarkable renovation creating an unparalleled modern 5 bedroom home, in the heart of the Boca Grande town, w/the addition of a pool. The distance from the ocean is an easy 5 minute stroll, 3 minute bike ride. (.2miles). This home comes outfitted w/pool and beach towels, 6 beach chairs & one beach umbrella for your convenience. A wet bar/coffee bar off the dining room, game room off the living room, TVs in bedrooms & living room

Beautiful home in great location

My family stayed here for our kids' spring break and had an excellent time. The home is beautiful, very well and comfortably furnished, and in a great location. I had a couple of questions while there that the owner promptly answered, including by text message and phone call. Highly recommend staying here!

Perfect location

We love this house. We have stayed here several times and it fits our family of 8 adults perfectly. The location is amazing… close to town and all the restaurants as well as the beach. We love the pool in the backyard as a place to relax and the house is fully stocked with all the cooking supplies you would need. We will definitely stay there again.

Our family of six had a wonderful vacation at MamaDear House and Boca Grande. The home is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and close to everything…the beach, shops and restaurants! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and cooking meals in the well-appointed kitchen. Highly recommend this property and we hope to be back!

The best of Boca Grande

Beautiful, historic home updated to the most modern, high-end amenities. Charming layout and close to everything. With a golf cart (which is a must) the beach is even easier to access than the beach condos. Wonderful host.

A Wonderful House in so many ways

Our second year at Mama Dear and it was so much fun enjoying this special place with kids and grandkids. The house is so warm, welcoming, comfortable and well laid out! The pool was a big hit! And being only a short stroll from the beach and downtown, for us, it was the perfect location. We never used our car. Can't wait til next year! Thank you!

Boca Grande awesome family house

We were thrilled with the Mama Dear house. It is incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated and renovated. A large entry way opens up to a huge family room on your right and dining room on the left that leads to a kitchen with top of the line appliances, and china, utensils silver. Off the family room a sitting area and off dining room a bar and coffee station. And there is a pool. Finally the pool and location are the cherry on top.

Wonderful week in Boca Grande!

We really enjoyed our week long stay at the Mama Dear House! The house is perfectly situated in town and a stones throw away from the beach. The house is very homey and comfortable and had everything we needed. We particularly loved the big dining table off the kitchen and the little games nook where my kids loved to play scrabble and card games. The pool was a great way to cool off and we used the bbq with great success. The owner Deana was very communicative and helpful with all aspects of our visit. We look forward to coming again!

Very Nice House

We had a total of 10 people. 5 Adults and 5 kids ranging from 9 - 1. They layout of the house was great for all. Location is right in town so easy access to everything. The pool was great for the kids and the beach is a short golf cart ride away. The kitchen is very large and easy for multiple people to prepare/cook at one time. Boca Grande is a special place and full of memories for our family.

We have been coming to the Island since our children were small but hadn't been for a few years. We wanted a family reunion and could think of no better place and your beautiful house was the most perfect place for us all. It is exactly how you described it and more. Beautiful Boca Grande Home 2025

This was our second year staying at the Historic Mama Dear Home in Boca Grande, and perfection best describes the home, the location, the activities, and the weather! The house is beautiful and well-appointed with high-quality furniture and amenities for maximum comfort. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area are functional and aesthetically pleasing, providing a very comfortable space for cooking and gathering. The lovely backyard pool and outdoor table offer yet another comfortable space to gather. The outdoor grill and shower are a bonus, as are the beach chairs and beach towels. The house is centrally located in Boca Grande's quaint and quiet village on Gasparilla Island. We walked, biked, and golf carted to all locations; our car sat parked for a week. The beach is 4 blocks from the home, and is lovely for swimming, sunbathing, and shelling. The fishing is fantastic, and there are numerous outfitters to take you out for the day. There are nice restaurants such as the Pink Elephant, South Beach Grille, and the Eagle Grille. And, we highly recommend Newlins for gourmet provisions such as lobster salad rolls and crab cakes! Deana, owner and host, is a delightful person and very responsive. She is one text away for questions. And, it is so apparent how much she loves and cares for her family home. Thank you, Deana!It was a wonderful vacation for my family, perfect actually! We have reservations for 2026 and cannot wait to return!

Our parents, Ben and Dolores Treece purchased and moved this historic home off the Gasparilla Inn Property for preservation purposes and my family enjoyed may vacations here going up while our parents homesteaded here when not at their Asheville, NC home. In 2019, 3 siblings with the help of our spouses began the 2 year process of commissioning a historical architect, consultant and residential building to approve, plan and execute a historical rebuild. Construction began in August 2020 and was completed April 2021. This home has been upgraded in every way for the entertainment and enjoyment of our family and our guests. All windows are now hurricane and wind rated, central air and heat throughout, gas fireplace, appliances are Wolf and Subzero with an infra-red TEC Grill by the pool. It is now a 5 bedroom/5 bath home, all with closets, bathes and TVs. We have added a private pool, garage and irrigated landscaping. There are books and games for kids or for those who haven't forgotten how to be one. Our parents loved family and enjoyed entertaining friends. We encourage you to make your own happy memories in this space and on this island. Enjoy!
