Casa Garvey is a beautiful casita in an idyllic setting. Twelve minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza, both far enough yet near enough to the city to be just perfect, set in an attractive development of the Tesuque foothills two miles above Tesuque Village, ten minutes from the Santa Fe Opera. Across from the entrance to the development is the Four Seasons Luxury Resort, Rancho Encantado. The casita has the charm of the classic Santa Fe style, with transformed kitchen and baths. It's wonderfully comfortable in all seasons, with delightful patios to enjoy in the warmer months and Kiva coziness when the weather turns cooler. From the spacious patio take in the gorgeous views of the high desert hills and beautiful mountains. Santa Fe Baldy is in view, and an incredible nighttime sky. Beauty and serenity abound while being minutes away from restaurants, galleries, shopping, and plenty of outdoor activities.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was very clean, check-in was easy, and everything was exactly as described. The beds were very comfortable, and the host was helpful in recommending local attractions. My family had a great time, especially enjoying the pool. The surrounding area was beautiful, and the views were fantastic. We would happily stay here again and recommend it to other families visiting the area.

Tim’s place was hands down the most enjoyable place we’ve stayed during our many trips to Santa Fe. We visit about every three months. The property is beautifully decorated, the views are wonderful, and the entire community is peaceful and welcoming. We loved running the nearby trails every morning, then sitting with our coffee watching the hummingbirds gather around the feeders. It was such a relaxing and special experience. We absolutely loved our stay and will make this out to go place from now on! Highly recommend!

Wow! If every rental would be so great. One feels totally at home with all sorts of additional ammenities, like being in someone's home. Little things, like guests sharing of spices, to a gas grill with proper grill tools, to an array of charging cords for your devices. Even a drawer with a battery assortment, in case one of the remotes needed one (it didn't). Comfy bed, nice linens, thirsty towels, decorating in a SW desert style in a classy and quiet neighborhood. It's not really as far out of Santa Fe as it seems, once you drive it. One note for anyone with disabilities is that it is about 75 ft of hillside steps to get to the outdoor patio and entry.

Location was great right across from the Four Seasons and in a community that takes in the natural beauty of its surroundings. Loved the southwestern decor and quiet clean ambiance. Exquisite location

The home was lovely and the host was super helpful with recommendations. The location was amazing! Close enough to Santa Fe to go into town for anything you needed but far enough away to provide privacy and beautiful vistas. Would definitely stay here again.

Just what we needed!! A mother/daughter weekend!Loved the views and amenities. Our hikes at Kasha Katuwe National Monument, trailheads near Ski Santa Fe and very close to the Vrbo were great. Driving to the square was an easy 15 minute drive and the parking garage there was an easy maneuver!

The property is just as advertised and pictured on the VRBO website. We stayed three nights. Easy access to Santa Fe square. Do go to the nearby Tesuque village market just down from the property.

A beautiful to stay

The home outside offers great views and peaceful places to sit to enjoy them. Inside is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being out in a great open space where we also had easy access to Santa Fe. The owner responded to every question in a prompt, helpful, and caring way.

Perfect place for Santa Fe visit

My daughter and I stayed for our vacation to New Mexico. Easy drive to tourist spots of Santa Fe while being out of town enough to enjoy a quiet setting with pretty views. Accommodations were charming, comfy, and had everything a guest would need. Thank you!

Love to travel and really appreciate a well appointed space. If you aren't using our place and we are vacationing its either here or in Utah Skiing. Our primary residence is Dallas Texas where Karen is in healthcare and Tim designs and builds luxury homes.

Why they chose this property

We rented this unit in November of 2020 and fell in love with the unit and the area. Very convenient from either Santa Fe or Albuquerque airports to fly and an easy drive from surrounding states .

What makes this property unique

A previous owner did a complete remodel to what was a good floorplan and made it even better for short stays . The bathrooms are larger and now have heated floors as well as baseboard heaters. We use the home frequently and are constantly looking to improve it. We have quite a few regular guests that we see once or twice every year and really enjoy the communication with them. After booking, I’m very easy to get a hold of by telephone or email. Happy to answer questions about the unit or the area. We have guests we talk to daily about the area and some guests keep to themselves.We are fine either way as long as our guests are happy
