Nestled in the heart of downtown Santa Fe - just off of Paseo de Peralta - sits this wonderfully decorated 2 bedroom 2 bath home that accommodates four adults comfortably- and absolutely, no pets. Magdalena on the Plaza is decorated in Southwest/Santa Fe decor, includes 4 fireplaces, and provides the perfect needs in a beautiful Santa Fe rental home. This charming two bedroom adobe has one with a king bed and one with two twin beds, each having their own private bath. A comfortable living room features comfortable sofas (one pulls out), a large dining area and kiva fireplace. On summer nights, prepare dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and dine al fresco in the wall-enclosed private courtyard with garden and outside fireplace. In winter, it is like having your own private ski lodge. The location couldn't be more perfect being close to everything downtown - shopping, galleries, wonderful eateries, and music venues. Minutes from 10,000 Waves Spa and the Santa Fe Ski area. The King bed is in the master. This home may have a minimum night stay based on seasonality and availability. It was a perfect set-up for a girlfriend teip. There were 4 of us and we ended up eating out, so no cooking. The home and kitchen were appointed very well. Towls in the bathrooms, super plush, thank you! Only recommendation is that the house #'s were not visible on the railroad ties, the lavender bush needs to be trimmed to see them.

3 blocks from the Plaza

An easy 3 block walk to the plaza makes this a great location for this Santa Fe vacation casita. With one large and one small walled court yard it feels private and safe yet provides the chance to just sit outside or dine al fresco and enjoy the fresh mountain air. The indoor spaces are comfortably and tastefully decorated.

Beautiful Pueblo Style stay

Host is amazing - immediately responds to questions and very helpful. Beautiful home decorated beautifully. Kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. Kitchen has everything you need. Right across street from plaza, museums and great food.

Fantastic home!

This is really an amazing home. It is situated in the perfect spot as there is a lot of privacy yet it’s only a five minute walk to downtown. So much cheaper than staying at one of the hotels in downtown Santa Fe and so much more to offer. The house is laid out perfectly because my husband and I were at one end of it and the kids room was at the other. It was extremely clean and roomy. Beautifully decorated and appointed. We will definitely stay here again!

Memorial Day weekend

Perfect location in the heart of Santa Fe. We were very satisfied with our stay. As noted in previous posts, having good dexterity in negotiating entering and exiting the master bedroom tub/shower is necessary. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Great stay in Santa Fe

Great location, private courtyard is very nice & beds were comfy. Master shower is a little difficult for people with mobility issues as others have mentioned but I was able to navigate ok at 6 mos pregnant. Santa cafe is the closest restaurant & was really great fine dining. Did not come up in my search of all the must-eats but I was very glad we stumbled upon it & were able to get in w/o reservation.

Gorgeous hacienda in an excellent location

My family (4 adults) stayed her for five days. The house is so charming and well done in the hacienda style. We enjoyed the peaceful courtyard for our morning coffee and evening wine. The kitchen is bright and well equipped and the living and dining room spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal for us to walk to the plaza for shopping and dining. Beds were comfortable and the showers were great with good water pressure and lots of hot water. Just a few nit picky suggestions for the owners… instructions on how to operate the tv and have a few flashlights and candles for power outages (we had one during a summer storm) . Overall a wonderful place to stay!

Wonderful Home!

We really enjoyed this home. Beautiful artwork and had all the amenities of home. Only issue was getting into and out of the Master shower. We are in our 70's and it was a challenge.

Girl's getaway

My daughter and I stayed here for a Santa Fe getaway. It was a lovely accomodation, but one big reason we booked this property was to use the Kiva fireplaces. However, we could not, because the instructions stated that unless the temperature was less than 40 degrees, no fires were permitted, which was a big disappointment.

Beautiful close-in stay with all amentities

We stayed 6 nights in this amazing close-in home. We cooked, we built a fire, we slept in blissful country peace, we bathed...it was all just like home. We easily walked downtown to the Plaza, the museums and all the shopping we could possibly do. We didn't want to leave. The ambiance was upscale Santa Fe with amazing art in the home, books and lots of beautiful pottery dishes to eat our meals. We were blissfully happy. Thanks for the perfect place to host my 75th birthday with husband and two friends.

If location is most important

This house has the best imaginable location. But the master bedroom/bathroom layout was difficult. There were some maintenance issues that should have been addressed. For example, there were lightbulbs burned out on the porch and the sink in the master bath drained extremely slowly. These should have been fixed before a guest arrived.

Very disappointing

The good news was that Tom the property manager was extremely easy to communicate with. He was quick to reply to questions and accommodated our request for an early check-in. He also quickly agreed to a full refund after we listed our complaints and told him we wouldn't be staying there. Dealing with him, considering the issues we had, was refreshingly pleasant. The property itself was filthy. It is clearly lived in by someone when it is not being let. Whilst there had obviously been cleaning activity prior to our arrival, the focus had been on the beds, floors and kitchen surfaces. The rest of the place was covered in dust, which Tom told us was due to construction nearby and high winds. Much of the kitchen equipment was in need of replacement. The oven looked like it had never been run through a cleaning cycle, the toaster needed to be thrown away, the Kurig coffee machine needed sanitizing and every shelf and cupboard was brimming with old, worn kitchenware. The pots and pans were old and tossed haphazardly into their cupboard. None would I have wanted to use. The dishwasher food-trap was full, the fridge was old and worn, although there were two eggs thoughtfully left for us. No idea how old they were. Despite being assured that the property was absolutely pet free there was a half-used bag of dog food in a kitchen cupboard. The cupboard/pantry was full of a wide variety of foodstuffs, mostly used and looking the worse for wear. There were numerous empty containers that just needed throwing away. The rug in the living room was stained, and the sofas were both in need of either replacement or steam cleaning. There were numerous light bulbs not working throughout the property. The bathrooms were clean, but tired and worn. Our reaction to the property was one of extreme disappointment. We travelled all day from the east coast to spend 4 days in Santa Fe. We took photos of all these issues and showed friends and family. They were very suprised at the state of the place. We thought we had found a gem, but this place needs a very deep clean and a lot of items replaced. I cannot recommend this place while it remains in it's current state.

Very lovely Santa Fe style home. So convenient to plaza, within walking distance. The check-in process was a little bit difficult to understand, but maybe it was just me! There is a very deep bathtub in the main bedroom that is a little hard for an older person to get in and out of. Patio was terrific for having a glass of wine.I would definitely stay there again.
